"No, you have it."
Feng Ye pushed the ice cream back to her. Tang Xiaonan had only asked out of politeness; she really didn’t want to share the tasty treat with this guy. After a few licks of her ice cream, Tang Xiaonan picked up the Coca-Cola. Back then, Coke came in cans, and this one was fresh from the refrigerator, covered in condensation.
Tang Xiaonan hooked her finger through the pull tab and gave it a hard tug, but it wouldn’t open. Her finger started to hurt. She handed the can to the surprised-looking Feng Ye. "Mister, can you open this for me?"
Feng Ye opened it with ease. At the familiar FIZZ, Tang Xiaonan’s mouth began to water. She took a big gulp right from the can in his hand. It was cold, refreshing, and absolutely delicious.
"So good..."
Tang Xiaonan let out a satisfied burp. This trip to Capria was worth it.
Feng Ye watched with a gentle smile as Tang Xiaonan ate, taking a lick of ice cream, then a sip of Coke. He didn’t even realize how benevolent he looked at that moment. His other subordinates found it even more peculiar and grew intensely curious about Tang Xiaonan’s origins. ’Could she be the boss’s illegitimate daughter?’
"Know what these are called?"
"Ice cream and Coca-Cola."
Tang Xiaonan answered instinctively. Feng Ye’s eyes widened in greater surprise. Even in Capria, many children didn’t know what Coca-Cola was. Kids from ordinary families certainly couldn’t afford it; only those from powerful and wealthy families could. How could this chubby girl possibly know?

"Have you had this before?" Feng Ye asked directly.
Tang Xiaonan’s heart skipped a beat. ’Crap, I almost blew my cover.’ She shook her head and pointed to the words on the can. "It’s written right here!"
"You can read?"
"I can even speak English."
Tang Xiaonan fluently recited a few sentences in English. Feng Ye and his men were all stunned. Although they couldn’t speak English themselves, they had heard it spoken before, and this definitely sounded like the real deal.
"Who did you learn from?" Feng Ye was now even more interested in Tang Xiaonan’s background.
"Grandpa Tate! He can speak lots of English and has been to many countries."
Tang Xiaonan said with an air of innocence. Feng Ye’s expression turned thoughtful. He had probably figured out Old Master Tate’s identity. "Does that Mr. Hawthorne of yours also learn from this Grandpa Tate?" Feng Ye inquired.
"Yep, we learn together."
Tang Xiaonan didn’t hide it. Feng Ye asked a few more questions about Old Master Tate, but Tang Xiaonan stopped answering, playing dumb to his inquiries. ’After all, I’m only six. It’s normal for me not to know things.’
"Mister, don’t tell anyone, okay? If people find out, Grandpa Tate will get beaten."
Tang Xiaonan instructed him with great seriousness. Feng Ye suppressed a laugh and nodded. "Don’t worry, I won’t say a word."
Seeing that she had almost finished her ice cream, he asked, "Want another?"

The warehouse was guarded, and the men there greeted Ace respectfully when they saw him.
"Take your pick. Everything’s here," Ace said.
