Chapter 661: Three Cases

"Is it true that sister Qian killed a level five electric eel?" Someone asked, her voice filled with awe.

"I saw it." A male cultivator answered and quickly continued.

"Sister Qian is a peak-stage core formation realm cultivator, but she can surpass levels to kill a level five sea beast." He said.

"Sister Qian is ancestor Qian’s descendant. Her swordsmanship is incomparable." Another male cultivator said, sighed, and continued.

"Ancestor Qian almost became Immortal King Yu’s disciple and has inherited some of swordsman Yu’s true legacy."

"I wonder if I will ever get a chance to see immortal king Yu and immortal king Jiang." A female cultivator whispered with a longing expression.

"The two immortals have been clearing sealed spaces for almost three thousand years. We may never be able to see them in this life."

"That’s not entirely true." Someone said and quickly continued.

"We may be able to see them when our cultivation is high enough." He said.

Hearing the conversation, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue exchanged a glance and continued walking.

[It seems Qian Chen’s family is doing well.] Jiang Yue transmitted, and Yu Nianzhen nodded.

However, a thought crossed his mind, and he turned to his partner.

[It’s been quite a few years since we brought the earth martial artists to the Cangxing world.] He said with a meaningful expression.

[We promised to take care of them for fifteen thousand years. The time will run out in a few thousand years.] Jiang Yue stated.

[Qian Chen, Tang Xiao, Xue Hua, Gu Dong, and others have already gone to the Reincarnation world. It’s only a matter of time before the descendants of the Profound Extremities World produce an immortal master.] Yu Nianzhen said.

[Mmh.] Jiang Yue nodded but didn’t dwell on it.

After all, he and Yu Nianzhen had fulfilled their promise and were never stingy with the descendants of the Profound Extremities World.

In the end, whether the descendants could rise and reclaim their world’s glory depended on their efforts and willingness.

After walking around for a while, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue removed their disguise and went to the inner circle’s information hall.

"Immortal King Yu, Immortal King Jiang." A female cultivator excitedly greeted and bowed when she saw the two.

Although she had never met them before, she had seen their images and immediately recognised the archipelago owners.

"Who is in charge?" Jiang Yue asked.

"Senior Fu is in charge of the information hall." The female cultivator said, and without waiting for instructions, she took out her communication jade and messaged the person.

Soon after, a middle-aged woman arrived in the lobby and bowed to Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue.

"Junior Fu Yun has seen Immortal King Yu and Immortal King Jiang." She said.

"Let’s find somewhere to talk." Jiang Yue said, and Fu Yun nodded before leading the way to her study.

"Do the Immortal Kings have any instructions?" She asked.

"What major things have happened in the past two thousand years?" Yu Nianzhen asked, and Fu Yun narrowed her eyes with a thoughtful expression.

"There was a big war between the Black Tripod sect and orthodox cultivators seven hundred years ago." Fu Yun started, and Jiang Yue raised an eyebrow.

"What was the trigger and outcome?" He asked.

"Many families and sects sent their qi transformation realm disciples to a level three secret realm. As a result, only the disciples of the Black Tripod sect came out." Fu Yun said, and Jiang Yue couldn’t help but frown. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Did our Zhenyue Archipelago lose disciples?" He asked, and Fu Yun nodded.

"We lost twenty-nine disciples." She said and quickly continued.

"We also participated in the suppression war and finally drove the Black Tripod sect into hiding."

Jiang Yue nodded when he heard this.

"What about the remnants of the Black Tripod sect? Where are they?" Yu Nianzhen asked, and Fu Yun sighed with a helpless expression.

"They disappeared, and we haven’t found a trace of them in the past several hundred years." She said.

"I see." The swordsman nodded, thinking that he and Jiang Yue would try to find the remnants while searching for the foreign devils.

"What else?" Jiang Yue asked.

"Our Zhenyue Archipelago suffered a massive sea beast tide two hundred and twenty years ago. Although we lost some people, we put up a good fight and won a resounding victory."

"That’s good." Yu Nianzhen nodded and turned to Jiang Yue.

[Do you want to check the formations?] He asked.

[I will check them.] Jiang Yue said and quickly continued.

[I will use some of the materials we found in the sealed spaces to upgrade the formations.] He added.

After that, the two listened to reports about secret realms, competitions, feuds, treasures, and other things before Fu Yun wound down.

"What about disappearances? Have there been any strange disappearances, especially in the last ten years?" Jiang Yue asked, and Fu Yun frowned.

A moment later, she nodded and began speaking.

"There are three unsolved cases that I can think of." She said.

"Tell us about them." Yu Nianzhen urged.

"The first case started six years ago in Yunlan town." She began and quickly continued.

"Yunlan town is at the junction of three territories and is generally a lawless place. Because of this, no one noticed the disappearances until the grandson of a sword sect’s elder disappeared there."

"After investigation, we discovered that at least three thousand people have gone missing in Yunlan town over the past ten or so years. Unfortunately, we haven’t found clues until now."

Jiang Yue and Yu Nianzhen frowned when they heard this.

"Blood sensing and other such methods can’t locate the missing people?" Jiang Yue asked, and Fu Yun nodded.

"Some of the missing cultivators have soul cups and soul lamps. From this, we know that some are alive while others are dead. Unfortunately, tracking methods go awry in Yunlan town." She said.

"The missing cultivators could be within a formation." Jiang Yue muttered with a thoughtful expression before turning to Fu Yun.

"How many of our Zhenyue people have gone missing?" He asked.

"At least two hundred have gone missing, and sixty have already lost their lives." Fu Yun revealed, causing Jiang Yue and Yu Nianzhen to subconsciously narrow their eyes.
