Chapter 579: Accident

"Chen." A woman screamed as she ran towards Qian Chen. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"What happened?" Someone asked with a hint of confusion in his voice.

"The sword broke."

"Grandmaster Qian’s sword is one of the best in our hidden world. How could it break?"

"Who knows?"

While the spectators were confused, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue reached Qian Chen.

"Master..." Tang Xiao called in a scared voice.

Hearing the call, Yu Nianzhen glanced at the person but didn’t say anything.

At the moment, he was more concerned about Qian Chen.

On one hand, Qian Chen was his prospective disciple and Yu Nianzhen didn’t want him to die. On the other, the person’s current predicament was inextricably linked to him.

Without his interference, Tang Xiao would have never had the power to fatally injure Qian Chen.

Considering this, Yu Nianzhen could not shirk his responsibility.

"It’s not good." Jiang Yue said with a solemn expression.

"Old Fang, please take a look at my grandson. Is there anything you can do?" Ancestor Qian asked while looking at an old woman.

"Let me take a look." The old woman said and knelt beside Qian Chen.

Without wasting time, she stuffed a pill into Qian Chen’s mouth and began taking his pulse.

A moment later, divine master Fang sighed and shook her head.

"Old Fang?" Ancestor Qian urgently called.

"I have given him a pill to stop the bleeding but the injury is too severe." Fang Die said.

"Divine master Fang, please save my son." A woman pleaded through her tears.

"Divine master Fang, we will do anything. Please save our son." A middle-aged man also begged.

Although his expression was calm, his voice trembled and his hands were clenched into fists.

"Old Tang, give me an explanation." Ancestor Qian suddenly shouted, glaring at Ancestor Tang who was standing beside Tang Xiao.

Hearing this, Jiang Yue narrowed his eyes and looked at Yu Nianzhen.

"Azhen, there is only one way to save him." He whispered.

"I know." Yu Nianzhen said and stood up from the ground.

"Do you blame me?" He suddenly asked.

"What’s there to blame?" Jiang Yue looked at his lover with a soft expression.

After living on Earth for several years, Jiang Yue had a vague understanding of what they were supposed to be learning.

Since he had an idea, he could build on it even if their experience came to an end.

"Okay." Yu Nianzhen rubbed Jiang Yue’s hair before turning to look at the surrounding people.

"I need space. Please move back." He said.

Hearing the voice, everyone stared at Yu Nianzhen.

"It’s you. You did this to my son." Madam Qian screamed and rushed to hit Yu Nianzhen.

However, Jiang Yue was on guard.

Before the woman could hit Yu Nianzhen, Jiang Yue grabbed her wrist.

"Don’t mess around." He said in an icy voice.

Although he understood the woman’s grief, Jiang Yue would never allow anyone to lay their hands on his lover.

"Swordswoman Yu, do you have a way to save my son?" Patriarch Qian asked with a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Take a few steps back." Yu Nianzhen said without answering the person’s question.

Soon after, the group retreated a few steps.

However, they didn’t leave the stage; no doubt worried about Qian Chen.

Seeing this, Yu Nianzhen frowned but he didn’t continue to chase them.

Instead, he looked at Jiang Yue and both nodded.

"Ao Tian." Yu Nianzhen shouted into the void.

A moment later, a space vortex appeared and a black-clothed young man came from within.

"Master, has it been one hundred years?" Ao Tian asked with a playful expression.

"Take a look at him and tell me what you think?"

Hearing this, Ao Tian turned around and saw Qian Chen.

"What’s there to tell? This mortal is dying."

"Do you have a way to save him?" Jiang Yue asked.

"Save..." Ao Tian started but his eyes suddenly widened.

"Master, Yue’er, you can’t mean..."

Ao Tian shook his head and retreated from the seriously injured young man.

"That is not possible." He said.

"What are you thinking? We are not asking for your blood."

"You are not?" Ao Tian said and quickly continued.

"How else can you save him? This person is a mortal. If you give him a rejuvenation pill, he will only die faster."

"As expected, only the tree of life can save him." Yu Nianzhen whispered and narrowed his eyes.

Unfortunately, the tree of life was in his jade box.

Without unsealing his cultivation, he couldn’t access the jade box, his storage ring, or the ancient palace.

Thinking of this, Yu Nianzhen immediately made a decision.

"Do all you can to protect his life. Don’t let him die."

"Master, why do you have to go so far for a mortal?"

"This mortal is your master’s prospective disciple." Jiang Yue revealed.

"Prospective disciple?" Ao Tian sneered and looked at Qian Chen in disdain.

However, Yu Nianzhen didn’t give the dragon a chance to argue.

"Don’t let him die." He said and walked a short distance away.

"I will protect you." Jiang Yue said and walked to stand beside his lover.

A moment later, Yu Nianzhen sat cross-legged and began to meditate.

After adjusting his breath for an incense stick, he reached into his clothes and took out a jade pendant from around his neck.

Seeing this, Jiang Yue frowned and turned to look at Ao Tian.

"Tian’er, you have to protect everyone." He said.

"I know." Ao Tian nodded.

Although he didn’t care about the mortals, he couldn’t let his master accidentally cause a catastrophe.

If that happened, his master would be stained with a lot of karma and his cultivation would be negatively affected.

Feeling assured, Jiang Yue focused on Yu Nianzhen.

At this time, Yu Nianzhen held the pendant in his right hand and with a hard squeeze, the jade turned into dust.

Soon after, Jiang Yue heard a breaking sound and a terrifying aura began to condense around Yu Nianzhen.

At the same time, the atmosphere gained an unnatural sharpness and the surrounding people couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable.
