Chapter 559: I Don’t Want You to Ever Forget

Three days later, the two received their paycheques.

Unfortunately, it was still a weekday and the two didn’t have time to go shopping in Jialan city.

Still, they found time to budget their money.

"In addition to what we already had, we have a total of eight thousand and fifty yuan." Jiang Yue said and turned to look at Yu Nianzhen.

"How much should we set aside for the laptop?"

"Four thousand yuan at most."

After that, the two made a list of everything they needed.

Not only did they need to buy a laptop, but they also had to replenish some household items including rice and detergent.

Other than that, they had to set aside some money for electricity, water, and the internet.

When the weekend came, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue left the factory compound and went to Jialan City.

Soon, they found a big computer store and spent three thousand yuan to buy a refurbished laptop.

Although the laptop was not new, it had good specs.

Compared to buying a new product, the refurbished laptop was cheaper and more suitable for their situation.

"I didn’t think we would get such a good deal." Jiang Yue smiled in satisfaction.

Seeing the smile, Yu Nianzhen also smiled and subconsciously rubbed his husband’s hair.

"You still haven’t told me what you want to do." He said.

"Can’t you guess?" Jiang Yue asked with a mischievous smile in his eyes.

"Do you want to write?"

"You know?"

"Just a guess." Yu Nianzhen answered.

"Azhen, we have lived for thousands of years and have experienced many things. I want to turn our adventures into a novel. What do you think?" Jiang Yue asked, feeling a little unsure.

At first, he hadn’t thought of writing a novel and only had the idea when browsing suggestions for online jobs.

After thinking about it, Jiang Yue felt it was appropriate and couldn’t wait to start.

However, when the time came, he couldn’t help but feel a little nervous and unsure. After all, he had only ever acted in dramas and had never written a novel or a script.

"I think it’s a good idea and you will likely be good at it. However..." Yu Nianzhen frowned.

"However?" Jiang Yue asked nervously.

What about time?" Yu Nianzhen asked.

"Time?"

"We work long hours. Can you write a novel while still working?"

Hearing this, Jiang Yue frowned.

When he came up with the idea, he forgot about the logistics.

Now that Yu Nianzhen mentioned the matter, Jiang Yue couldn’t help but worry.

"You are right. Our time is a bit tight." He said but was reluctant to give up his plan.

"What about you? What’s your plan?"

"Weekends." Yu Nianzhen said and looked at Jiang Yue with a guilty conscience.

If he had a choice, he didn’t want to work on the weekends,

However, their situation didn’t allow for such luxury.

"I can do the same." Jiang Yue nodded and quickly continued before Yu Nianzhen could say anything.

"I can write on Saturdays and set up the Chapters for automatic publishing during the week."

"Won’t it be too tiring?"

"We can both rest on Sundays." Jiang Yue said and looked at Yu Nianzhen with narrowed eyes.

Seeing the narrowed eyes, Yu Nianzhen raised his arms in surrender before he spoke.

"Alright, we will both rest on Sundays." He said.

"Good."

After that, the two discussed their schedule and finally made a plan.

Although the proposed schedule would tire them out, both felt it was necessary,

After all, they didn’t have savings or assets to fall back on.

If they didn’t work hard to build a foundation, they would fall into trouble when they inevitably lost their jobs in three months.

"Let’s not talk about it anymore. "Jiang Yue said and pulled Yu Nianzhen to lie on the bed.

Soon after, the two embraced and lay there in silence.

"XiaoYue, I love you." Yu Nianzhen suddenly said.

Hearing that, Jiang Yue was surprised and he raised his head to look at Yu Nianzhen.

"Why did you think to say it?" He asked but he had a happy smile in his eyes.

Seeing the smile, Yu Nianzhen leaned down and kissed the man’s eyelids.

"I don’t want you to ever forget. Even if I don’t say it often, I hope you will always remember that I love you."

"I have never forgotten." Jiang Yue said, smiled, and kissed his lover’s chin.

"I also love you."

The next morning, the two did their laundry, cleaned the house, and washed the dishes.

In the afternoon, they watched a crime thriller series on their new laptop before going to bed at nine in the evening.

Monday morning was as usual.

They woke up early, made breakfast and packed the leftovers for lunch.

After that, they went to warehouse seven and started their work for the day.

In this way, a week passed and the weekend came.

Jiang Yue started his novel and began publishing it on a popular platform.

Similarly, Yu Nianzhen registered an account at an online marketplace and soon accepted a few programming orders with generous deadlines.

Time passed and before they knew it, it was already the end of the second month.

As expected, they ranked last and second last on the performance list.

However, the two were not distraught.

Despite their uncomfortable situation in the factory, their other matters were going well.

After a month of hard work, Jiang Yue had already published more than fifty thousand words of his novel. As a result, the platform offered him a contract, which he had already signed.

However, the novel had yet to start earning.

If nothing went wrong, it would begin earning in half a month.

On the other hand, Yu Nianzhen had made some money from his online work.

Although the money was not much, it was enough to pay a few bills.

"Our salary is eight thousand, you made two thousand from online work, and we saved nine hundred from the previous month. We have a total of ten thousand and nine hundred yuan." Jiang Yue said.

"We did well." Yu Nianzhen nodded and continued.

"How do you want to spend it?"

"Save six thousand and leave the rest for the coming month. Also, let’s go for a big meal. What do you think?" Jiang Yue asked with an expectant look in his eyes.

Since they were living on a tight budget, the two saved on everything, including their meals.

As a result, Jiang Yue had long been craving some foods but couldn’t afford to buy them.

"Okay, let’s have a big meal." Yu Nianzhen agreed, his face showing undisguised distress.

Seeing the distress, Jiang Yue sighed.

"Azhen, don’t dwell on it. We are doing the best we can." He comforted.

"In the future, I will let you eat whatever you want."

"Is that so?" Jiang Yue chuckled with a mischievous look in his eyes.

At the same time, he ambled over and sat on Yu Nianzhen’s lap.

"Don’t mess around." Yu Nianzhen warned.

"Who is messing around?" Jiang Yue laughed but didn’t get down from his lover’s lap.

Instead, he looped his arms around Yu Nianzhen’s neck and lowered his head to lick the man’s lips.

"We should take a picture." He suddenly laughed.

"Absolutely not." Yu Nianzhen refused.

After the mortal-life experience, he never wanted to remember his life as a woman.

However, the more he resisted, the more Jiang Yue insisted.

In the end, Yu Nianzhen was worn down and forced to cooperate in taking dozens of pictures.

"Azhen, do you think our mobile phones can still be used in the Cangxing world?"

"Probably not." Yu Nianzhen hurriedly said.

"Do you think so or do you hope so?" Jiang Yue asked with a cheeky smile before he continued.

"I know they can’t be used to make calls but it should be possible to open the gallery to look at pictures and videos."

"When we leave this time, our fate with Earth will be over. I think it’s best to leave the trappings of this world here." Yu Nianzhen said and Jiang Yue smiled.

However, he didn’t contradict Yu Nianzhen.

After they took their relatives to the Cangxing world, Earth would no longer be their home. It would just be a distant memory that would no longer inspire much nostalgia.

The leisurely time passed quickly and Monday morning arrived faster than they would have liked.

However, the two did not complain or slack.

On the morning of the tenth day of the third month, four people entered warehouse seven and angrily walked to Yu Nianzhen.

Of the four, one was a middle-aged woman and the other three were teenage girls.

Whether the woman or the girls, they wore expensive clothes and looked a little out of place in the warehouse.

However, Yu Nianzhen wasn’t intimated.

After all, he had once been a rich man and still retained the temperament of a noble.

Although the four people gave him a bad feeling, his face showed no displeasure or guilt.

"Can I help you?" He asked with a calm expression.

"Are you the bitch called Yu Yue?" The second oldest of the teenage girls shouted.

Hearing this, Yu Nianzhen frowned but he didn’t lash out.

Instead, he looked at the girl and calmly answered.

"I am Yu Yue. How can..." He started but the girl didn’t let him finish.

Before Yu Nianzhen could react, he felt a sharp pain on his cheek and a loud slap resounded in the warehouse.

"You bitch." The girl screamed and raised her leg to kick Yu Nianzhen.

However, Yu Nianzhen was not a masochist and didn’t plan to let the girl kick him.

Just when he was about to dodge, a sudden force pulled him away and a long leg stretched out to meet the girl’s kick.

"You are the bitch." A cold voice echoed in the warehouse, accompanied by the girl’s scream as she flew backwards.
