Chapter 553: Fraud
Hearing this, the man and woman were shocked.
They didn’t expect Jiang Zhen and Yu Yue had recorded a video of the incident.
For a moment, they didn’t know what to do and a trace of fear flashed in their eyes.
"Is there a video?" The policewoman asked.
"The video is evidence. If things happened as you said, this is a case of fraud. Let me see the video." The policeman said, his voice filled with righteous indignation.
"If these two are really blackmailing you, we will deal with them according to the law." The policewoman also nodded in agreement.
"Yue’er, transfer the video to the police uncles." Jiang Yue immediately instructed.
"Why do you need to transfer? Show us the original copy." The policewoman said.
Hearing this, Jiang Yue and Yu Nianzhen looked at each other and a thoughtful look flashed in their eyes.
However, they did not refuse.
Instead, Yu Nianzhen took out his phone, used his fingerprint to unlock the screen and directly opened the recordings folder.
After the video started playing, he handed the phone to the two police people.
"Police uncles, please look at it carefully." He said.
"Hmmm." The policewoman nodded and began to watch the video.
The video was not long.
However, the content was enough to collaborate with what Jiang Yue and Yu Nianzhen reported.
"You two, do you have anything to say for yourself?" The policewoman looked at the two blackmailers.
"This..." The woman stuttered and looked at the man beside her.

Over time, the son became more impatient with his mother and beat her more often.
Just a few days ago, he beat her too badly and broke her arm.
In the course of finding treatment, the woman found out about touching porcelain.
She found out that most people often chose to lose money rather than waste their time reporting a case.
With such assurance, the woman found a target and successfully touched porcelain, claiming compensation for her broken arm.
Unfortunately for her, the target was a female doctor.
Originally, the doctor wanted to lose money but after observing the situation carefully, she realised something was wrong.
As a result, she called the police and the woman was arrested.
Soon after dealing with that case, the policeman received another complaint.
This time, it was a marriage fraud involving a rich heiress and an ambitious young man from an ordinary family.
After investigation, this case was even more outrageous.
From what she found out, the rich heiress and young man were college classmates.
The heiress was not pretentious and had good feelings for the young man.
She admired him for being hardworking and not letting his birth limit his ambition.
Unfortunately, such good qualities were used to harm her rather than cooperate with her to thrive.
In their second year of college, the two began to date and didn’t break up after graduation.
One year after graduation, the two married and the man got a position as a senior executive in the woman’s company.
However, things went downhill from there.
Barely four months after their marriage, the woman suddenly cheated.
As a result, the man was sad, angry, and felt betrayed.
Without a second thought, he filed for divorce and wanted almost all of the woman’s assets.

As it turned out, everything about the man; including his name and life experience was a lie.
From what was uncovered, the man was a professional fraudster.
He deliberately approached the woman and patiently deceived her into marriage.
After marriage, he conspired with others and drugged the woman to claim her legacy in the divorce proceedings.
A third case was reported during the second case.
This one involved a charity foundation.
According to investigation, the well-known non-governmental organisation solicited donations to build schools and orphanages in remote areas.
Because the head of the charity was a well-known philanthropist, many people felt at ease giving him their money.
Unfortunately, their trust was misplaced.
In fact, this case was originally a murder case.
Three years ago, an employee of the foundation was brutally killed.
At that time, the police investigated the murder but there were no clues and the case went cold.
Unexpectedly, several months ago, another employee accidentally discovered the truth.
As it turned out, the murdered employee went on a road trip and happened across one of the sites where the foundation supposedly built a free clinic.

Years after her murder, her former colleague was going through old pictures and discovered some photographs sent by the dead employee.
After studying them for a while, she reported the matter which led to a murder and fraud investigation.
Thinking about these three cases, the policewoman sighed.
She couldn’t understand why people were so intent on cheating and harming each other.
However, she had a job to do.
Just as she was about to arrest the two people, the policeman beside her suddenly spoke.
"When possible, it’s best to solve these kinds of cases outside the police station." The policeman said.
Hearing this, the policewoman was shocked.
Her eyes widened in surprise and she turned to look at her colleague.
’What is he talking about?’ She wondered.
"What does the police uncle mean?" Jiang Yue asked, his eyes narrowed into slits.
"It’s true that these two attempted to blackmail you. However, no harm has actually been done and the matter is not serious. It’s best to settle the misunderstanding out of the police station." The policeman said and winked.
Seeing the wink, Jiang Yue sneered.
He wasn’t sure if the policeman was hinting at him and Yu Nianzhen, his colleague, or the two culprits.
However, Jiang Yue didn’t want to let the matter go.
After all, the two people had conspired and come to their store to intentionally make trouble.
If there was no video, he and Yu Nianzhen would most definitely fall for the conspiracy and end up in more trouble than they could afford.
"Boss Jiang, what do you think?" The policeman questioned.
"Boss Jiang, my wife and I are wrong in this matter. Please give us a chance to repent." The man said and looked at Jiang Yue with a pleading look in his eyes.
At that moment, he was very worried.
If the matter got out, not only would he be in trouble with the law but his career would be over.
Before that happened, he hoped he could convince the Jiang couple to settle the matter out of the police station.
Unfortunately, Jiang Yue and Yu Nianzhen were not willing to let things go.
"I don’t agree." Yu Nianzhen suddenly said and everyone turned to look at him.
"The only reason we have not been harmed is because I accidentally recorded the video. If there was no video, my husband and I would have to compensate millions of yuan. How can the matter be settled with a simple apology? If an apology is enough, what is the use of police?" Yu Nianzhen said and the policewoman nodded in agreement.
This case was not simple.
On one hand, the culprits attempted to defraud millions of yuan from an ordinary couple.
On the other, there was a big boss behind the scenes.
If the fraud was unconditionally forgiven, what kind of message would the police be sending to the world?
Although she had seen many of her colleagues take bribes and look the other way, the policewoman didn’t.
Faced with such a case, she naturally wanted to arrest the two people, take them to the police station, and let them sign a statement.
