Chapter 540: Arrival

"I know." Ao Tian said.

However, he wasn’t very worried.

Although he knew they would encounter many dangers, they were only going to a mortal world.

As long as they were careful, their lives would not be in any danger.

"Let’s get ready to leave." Yu Nianzhen said and looked at Ao Tian.

Seeing the look, Ao Tian immediately turned into a dragon and lowered its body to let the two climb on its back.

Soon after, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue settled on the dragon’s back and Ao Tian flew some distance from the Zhenyue Archipelago.

"The beginning will be a little rough, hold tight." Ao Tian warned.

"Don’t worry about us. We won’t fall off." Jiang Yue assured and Yu Nianzhen nodded.

Hearing that, Ao Tian said nothing more.

A moment later, a dragon claw grabbed the air and the void irresistibly shattered.

At a glance, the shattering looked like a space collapse but the collapse was limited to an area of less than ten square metres.

Soon after, the shattered space rearranged itself and formed a dark channel that led to the void outside the Cangxing world.

"The first part is done." Ao Tian said with a proud look in its eyes.

However, there was no time for self-satisfaction.

This was because the space channel was not permanent.

After a while, the space channel would close and the void would recover to its previous state.

Knowing this, Ao Tian didn’t linger.

Without delay, he blew into the portal and a black mist flowed into the space channel.

"Is the black mist related to his time ability?" Jiang Yue turned to look at Yu Nianzhen and asked.

"Hmmm." Yu Nianzhen nodded and wanted to say more but Ao Tian interrupted their conversation.

"We are going in." The dragon shouted and immediately rushed into the channel.

A moment later, the world around them changed.

Unfortunately, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue didn’t have time to look around the dark void.

As soon as they entered the space channel, the space around them began to crack.

"This place unpleasantly reminds me of the space area in the Nine Treasures secret realm." Jiang Yue said while blocking a space crack that had appeared only one metre from his body.

"We will encounter many space cracks in the void closest to the Cangxing world. After we leave this area, the space channel will be a little more stable." Ao Tian said.

"Focus on flying, we will do our best to protect you." Yu Nianzhen said and Jiang Yue nodded in agreement.

In this way, the three struggled for four years and finally made it out of the void closest to the Cangxing world.

"Tian’er, are you sure ten years are enough to get to Earth?" Jiang Yue asked with a trace of doubt in his eyes.

After all, it took four years just to leave the surroundings of the Cangxing world.

"Don’t worry, the next part will be a lot easier." Ao Tian assured.

Unfortunately, the dragon’s optimism was unwarranted.

Although they didn’t encounter many space cracks and space storms, they encountered many space beasts.

As a result, the journey that should have taken ten years was delayed for twenty more years.

"Ao Tian, is the timing alright?" Yu Nianzhen asked when the group of three finally entered Earth’s atmosphere.

"Don’t worry." Ao Tian assured but Jiang Yue almost rolled his eyes.

At first, he believed the dragon when Ao Tian said not to worry.

However, after thirty years of detours and fighting, he realised the dragon wasn’t as reliable as he previously believed.

"The will of Earth will soon detect our arrival. You should get ready." Ao Tian said and the other two looked at each other.

"Okay." Yu Nianzhen said and sighed.

At this point, he and Jiang Yue could do nothing but believe in Ao Tian.

If the timing was wrong, they would have to think of a solution after they arrived on Earth.

"Azhen, have you thought of anything else?" Jiang Yue asked with a solemn look in his eyes.

Before they left the Cangxing world, they discussed what terms they would propose to the will of Earth.

However, it had been thirty years since then and he couldn’t help but wonder if his lover had thought of any other terms.

"No. What about you?" Yu Nianzhen asked but Jiang Yue shook his head.

"I haven’t thought of anything else."

"In that case, let’s stick to the previous plan." Yu Nianzhen said and Jiang Yue nodded in agreement.

One week later, Ao Tian was flying towards Earth when an old voice entered their ears.

Hearing the voice, Ao Tian stopped mid-flight and the other two became more alert.

[I remember the two of you.] The voice said.

"Two descendants of Earth have come back to visit their homeland." Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue said.

[Go back.] The will of Earth said with undisguised hostility in its voice.

’Seems like things will be more difficult than we expected.’ Jiang Yue thought and looked at Yu Nianzhen.

Seeing the look, Yu Nianzhen nodded.

Like Jiang Yue, he also noticed that the will of Earth really didn’t want them to go back.

"Senior, can we ask why?" Jiang Yue asked.

[Your presence will change the trajectory of Earth.] The will of Earth said.

Hearing that, Yu Nianzhen, Jiang Yue, and Ao Tian fell silent.

A moment later, Ao Tian opened a mind channel and secretly messaged the other two.

[The will of Earth is right. Originally, you died and the Earth went on without you. Now that you have travelled to the Earth’s past, the future will also change.]

[We should have accounted for this matter.] Yu Nianzhen couldn’t help but feel a little frustrated.

[It’s absurd how we ignored such an obvious matter.] Jiang Yue was also frustrated.

[Tian’er, do you have any ideas?] Jiang Yue asked.

[Among the people we want to bring back, is there someone particularly important to Earth’s future?] Yu Nianzhen questioned.

[Give me a moment.] Ao Tian said and closed his eyes.

Half an hour later, the dragon opened its eyes and heaved a sigh of relief.

[There are indeed some important people in the Yu and Jiang families. However, there is no one particularly important. If you give more resources, the will of Earth may be persuaded to accept your arrival.] Ao Tian informed.

[Our original plan was to go back to our accident and resume our lives as the mortal Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue. Now that there is concern about maintaining the integrity of the future, our plan has to change.] Jiang Yue said and Yu Nianzhen nodded.

[As long as we agree not to interfere too much with the affairs of mortals, the will of Earth may agree to let us in.] Yu Nianzhen said.

After that, the three discussed amongst themselves and soon came up with a plan.

"Senior, we have a proposal. I don’t know if you are willing to listen to it?" Jiang Yue asked in a respectful tone.

Although he, Yu Nianzhen, and Ao Tian were peak immortal realm cultivators, they couldn’t be presumptuous when facing the will of a world.

After all, the will of the world was connected to the will of the plane and the will of the universe.

Even if the will of Earth couldn’t deal with them, they could not escape the eyes of heaven.

Considering that, they didn’t dare to force their way onto Earth.

[What proposal?] The will of the Earth asked with a hint of interest in its voice.

After that, the two parties negotiated for half a month before they arrived at a compromise.

When the matter was finally settled, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue lost a lot of resources but they both were satisfied with the deal.

[Remember our agreement.] The will of Earth reminded.

"Don’t worry senior." Jiang Yue assured but he received no reply.

"Ao Tian, remember to transform into a human before we land. Don’t let the mortals see you." Yu Nianzhen said and Ao Tian rolled his eyes.

"I know." He said.

After that, the three continued to make their way to Earth and two days later, three people suddenly appeared at sea.

"This place is not far from land." Yu Nianzhen said and pointed to an island in the distance.

"Let’s go there first." Jiang Yue said, feeling a little excited.

"The spiritual aura in this place is too thin." Ao Tian complained.

"Earth is a mortal world." Yu Nianzhen said in a matter-of-fact voice.

"I know but..." Ao Tian started but sighed without finishing his sentence.

"Azhen, let’s start our experience as mortals after we make arrangements for our families. What do you think?" Jiang Yue asked.

"Okay." Yu Nianzhen agreed.

"I wonder when our funerals will be held..." Jiang Yue wondered with a yearning look on his face.

"If you want, we can rush home to secretly watch the funerals."

"Is it okay?"

"Why is it not okay?" Yu Nianzhen asked and rubbed his husband’s hair.
