Chapter 319: Getting the First Space Treasure
"You can use these for the time being." He continued and five pebbles appeared on his right palm.
"What are they?" Xuan Ke asked and took one of the pebbles.
"They are called jade stars. They are usually given to the young disciples of my Celestial Sky sect. I made them in the last two months."
"What’s their use?"
"They can forewarn danger. These ones aren’t too powerful but one breath isn’t a problem."
"One breath is enough." Yu Nianzhen said and took two.
He didn’t know when Jiang Yue would come out of seclusion.
If they were still in the space plane when Jing Yue came out, he would need the jade star so Yu Nianzhen wasn’t polite.
"Thank you, Junior Li." Bing Lan said and also took two.
"It’s what I should do." Li Futian said.
"We have mined all the void stones. All that remains is the core treasure." Yang Xu said and everyone’s mood turned gloomy.
They looked at the hollowed hill and had the urge to retreat.
"The core treasure is surrounded by tiny space cracks. It will be difficult to take it out." Xuan Ke said and sighed.
Until now, all the space cracks they encountered would disappear after a short moment.
However, the space cracks that surrounded the core treasure did not do so.
They neither disappeared nor grew bigger.
"It will be impossible to avoid injury." Bing Lan said and sighed.
After that, everyone fell silent and just looked at the tiny black cracks.
"I will take it." Yang Xu suddenly said.
"Master?"
"My body cultivation is already at the nascent soul realm and my qi is more vigorous. I am more likely to succeed."
When everyone heard that, they couldn’t refute the logic.
However, no one was comfortable.
If Yang Xu worked hard to take the core treasure, what right did they have to ask for it?
More importantly, this was only the first space along the tenth path.
If they couldn’t handle the danger, would they have to rely on Yang Xu all the time?
Everyone in the group was a proud son of heaven and none was willing to shamelessly rely on others.
"There is another way." Yu Nianzhen suddenly said and everyone turned to look at him.
"I can use my sword domain to enclose the area. Once the treasure is within my domain, we can concentrate our power to attack one point. I believe our focused strength is enough to create a small opening for us to grab the treasure."
"This method is feasible." Bing Lan agreed right away.
Although she wanted the core treasure of the space, she didn’t want her husband to be injured.
Since there was an alternative, she naturally supported it.
"I also agree with brother Yu’s plan." Xuan Ke added.
Seeing that, Li Futian and Yang Xu also agreed.
"We still have to talk about the division." Li Futian reminded.
"How about we keep the core treasures together and decide after we leave the space plane?" Yang Xu suggested.
Without a better option, the others quickly agreed and prepared to grab the core treasure.
When their preparations were finished, they turned to Yu Nianzhen.
"Brother Yu, it’s up to you." Li Futian said and Yu Nianzhen agreed.
A moment later, he released his sword domain and enclosed the small hill.
Within the domain, everyone felt like they were standing in a sea of swords.
However, Yu Nianzhen wasn’t hostile to them so the feeling was only uncomfortable but not unbearable.
"Prepare to attack." Yu Nianzhen said.
While saying so, he released Shanjiang.
It had been a long time since he used his sword and Yu Nianzhen couldn’t help but hold it tighter.
’As expected, I am more comfortable with a sword in hand.’ He thought.
"Let’s attack together in five breaths." Yang Xu called and everyone got ready.
Five breaths later, five attacks flew towards the space cracks that enclosed the treasure.
When the attacks hit the cracks, the barrier trembled and a fist-sized opening was created.
A moment later, a clump of white liquid flew out and the space cracks repaired themselves.
At the same time, Yu Nianzhen recovered his sword domain and a line of blood slipped from the corner of his mouth.
"Nianzhen..." Yang Xu shouted.
However, before anyone could react, the space shook and wide cracks appeared in the sky.
"Stay together, this space is about to collapse." Li Futian warned and the five hurried to stand together.
Soon after, terrifying space cracks filled the sky and the five couldn’t help but worry.
"Why haven’t we been transferred out?" Xuan Ke asked.
Fortunately, no one needed to answer because they were teleported out in the next instant.
"That was a little too dangerous." He continued when they landed in the second space.
"Hmmm." Yang Xu agreed but his attention was on his disciple.
"Nianzhen, how are you doing?"
"I was a little injured when I used my domain to grab the treasure. Don’t worry, it’s not a serious injury." Yu Nianzhen answered as he swallowed a rejuvenation pill.
"We need to get out o here." Li Futian said and the others looked at him in question.
"We are not the only ones who were transferred into this space." He explained and the others looked around.
Other than their group, there were also the groups who were fighting in the western area of the previous space.
The sudden teleportation took those cultivators by surprise and they had momentarily stopped fighting.
"Bastards, did you take the treasure of the previous space?" Someone suddenly shouted.
This shout aroused the other cultivators and they looked at Yu Nianzhen’s group of five.
"What did you get?"
"Quickly take it out and show it to us."
When Yang Xu heard that, he sneered and glared at the cultivators.
"What does what we got have anything to do with you?" He asked.
"It has everything to do with us because we have more people than you." Someone answered arrogantly.
His companions seemed to agree with his reasoning and they looked at the group of five threateningly.
However, Yang Xu and the others weren’t worried.
Although they couldn’t use teleportation talismans to escape, they were confident in their abilities.
Yu Nianzhen had proved he was unbeatable in the origin tempering realm.
With his ability, he could defeat a bunch of same-level cultivators.
Even without him, there was Yang Xu whose true cultivation was the core formation realm.
Although he couldn’t use his true cultivation, the power he could exert was far above the origin tempering realm.
Li Futian, Xuan Ke, and Bing Lan were also not pushovers.
Bing Lan was ranked in the top ten of the Cangxing list and the other two were top geniuses of the Cangxing world.
If the group of five couldn’t handle a random bunch of origin tempering realm cultivators, their fame and names were for nought.
However, fighting was the last option.
The space plane was too unstable and if they could, they wanted to avoid fighting as much as possible.
[Junior Li, please choose a direction.] Yang Xu sent a voice transmission.
Rather than entangle themself with a bunch of irrelevant cultivators, he wanted to find a chance for Yu Nianzhen to heal his injury and the rest to recover their qi.
[I understand.] Li Futian answered and closed his eyes.
With his brothers around, he didn’t worry that his safety would be threatened.
In that case, he felt assured to ignore the world and focus on finding the best way for their group.
"If you want to find trouble, we are not afraid of you." Xuan Ke said and lightning flashed in his eyes.
When the opponents heard that, they fell silent.
A moment later, someone burst into laughter and the others followed.
"There are only five of you while we have more than thirty. Even if we don’t beat you, we can still trample you to death."
"You can..." Xuan Ke started but then jumped back.
When he was getting ready to argue with the others, he felt a reaction from his jade star.
Without delay, he retreated and narrowly avoided a space crack.
Unlike the first space, the cracks in this second space were the width of a baby’s arm.
Long after Xuan Ke avoided the attack, everyone was still in shock.
They didn’t expect the difference in danger level between the two spaces to be so big and they couldn’t help worry.
"Senior brother, why don’t we leave the space plane?" A young lady said in a tentative voice.
"That’s right senior brother."
"None of us has a space origin and we don’t need space treasures."
"Just a little space crack has made you so timid?" The senior brother asked in a mocking voice.
He looked down on his sect juniors who wanted to back down at the first sign of danger.
However, he didn’t have a chance to say more before a black crack appeared in front of him.
