Chapter 156: Complication
’Second husband?’ Jiang Yue was flabbergasted.
He felt a cold chill and looked at Yu Nianzhen from the corner of his eye. As expected, the other’s face was blacker than the bottom of a pot.
However, this was not the time to be dazed.
What he needed to do was find out what kind of brain damage had caused a perfectly ’normal’ young woman to change so drastically.
"Fellow Daoist Lin..." He began but didn’t finish.
Instead, he looked a few metres behind Lin Huang, and his eyes lit up.
"Fellow Daoist Lin, your husbands are heading this way." He chirped happily.
He even had the thought of grabbing her shoulders to turn her around so that she could quickly see the several men that were walking toward them.
However, Jiang Yue still retained a little sanity.
He knew that if he dared to touch Lin Huang, Nianzhen would remember it. Later, he would have to pay a heavy price to seek forgiveness.
When she heard his words, Lin Huang turned around with a puzzled look on her face.
"These concubines aren’t worthy of being my husbands." She said when she saw the men.
For a moment, her face was filled with disdain, and the two boys were relieved.
’She is back to her normal self.’ They thought happily.
Unfortunately, their happiness came too soon because she changed her face again when she turned to look at them.
"Mother said that only those who can beat Huang’er are worthy of being her husband." Lin Huang said sweetly.
When they heard that, Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue looked at each other.
If they knew defeating the little phoenix would result in this situation, they would have never done so.
Jiang Yue would have surrendered as soon as Lin Huang stepped on his battle platform, and Yu Nianzhen would not have had a reason to challenge her.
Unfortunately, there was no medicine for regret.
Everything had already happened, and all they could do now was deal with the situation as rationally as possible.
"Fellow Daoist Lin, I have a fiancée. I can’t marry you." Jiang Yue said.
Lin Huang hadn’t expected that and was shocked for a second but soon recovered.

"Second husband doesn’t have to worry. Huang’er will handle this matter properly."
Jiang Yue trembled when he heard that.
’What does she mean she will handle this matter properly?’ He wondered and tried not to look at Yu Nianzhen.
"How to handle it?" He asked but regretted his curiosity as soon as the words slipped out.
If the previous temperature was zero degrees, it was now minus twenty and still dropping.
As the temperature dropped, Jiang Yue had an urgent urge to turn around and beg for mercy.
However, he soon controlled the impulse.
Since he was destined to be ’killed’, he might as well act recklessly and satisfy his curiosity.
After abandoning himself, Jiang Yue felt free, but he still didn’t dare to look at the swordsman standing just behind him.
"In our beast region, everything is decided by strength." Lin Huang thumped her chest and said proudly.
’Does she mean to fight my fiancee to grab me?’ Jiang Yue was amused but didn’t dare to laugh.
"I also have a fiancée." Yu Nianzhen suddenly said.
Jiang Yue was startled, and he turned to look at his intended.
’Is he pitting me against Lin Huang? He dares to do anything...’ After thinking that, Jiang Yue was angry, and he turned to glare at Yu Nianzhen.
Yu Nianzhen glared back, and both cowered in the next moment.
At his seat in the front row, Li Futian shook his head.
’Are they fools?’ He wondered.
He hadn’t expected so many twists and turns, but he was enjoying himself, so he didn’t interfere.
"Fellow Daoist Lin," Yu Nianzhen started, wanting to end the farce once and for all.
However, the sky began to dim at this moment.
’Is the thousand herbs garden about to close?’ Lin Huang thought in a panic.
At this, she quickly interrupted Yu Nianzhen and shouted, "first husband, second husband, my beast people will come to the Sea Cloud sect to formally propose marriage. Wait for me patiently."
When Yu Nianzhen and Jiang Yue reacted, they found they had already been ejected from the thousand herbs garden.
They were standing outside the south courtyard of Yang mountain, and each held a leaf cup.
"What..." Jiang Yue began but didn’t know how to continue.
On one hand, he wanted to talk about Lin Huang who would be coming to the Sea Cloud sect to propose marriage to both of them.
On the other, he was surprised by the leaf cups in their hands and the information that had appeared in their minds.
"What are you two doing? Don’t you know to greet your master as soon as you return?" A voice interrupted their stupor.
"The disciples have seen master." The two said mechanically.
Neither of them realised that Jiang Yue had referred to Yang Xu as ’master’ although he wasn’t his master.
"What’s wrong with the both of you?" Yang Xu asked as he walked toward them.
He initially wanted to tease the two boys, but he could tell that something was wrong.
"Master..." Yu Nianzhen called but didn’t know what to say first.
"What is it?"
"Master, I have a message for you."
Yu Nianzhen removed a package from his storage ring and gave it to his master.
Yang Xu took the package but didn’t open it.
He instead looked at his disciple ad waited for Yu Nianzhen’s explanation.
"This package was entrusted by the disciple of master’s intended."
When he heard that, Yang Xu held the package tighter, but Yu Nianzhen didn’t miss the small detail.
’Don’t worry, master. I will never let you miss her.’ Yu Nianzhen thought, and his eyes hardened.
The dazed expression he wore since exiting the secret realm disappeared, and his heart calmed down.
Although it was troublesome that he and Jiang Yue hadn’t cleared the misunderstanding before the secret realm closed, that couldn’t be blamed on them.
They were innocent in this matter, but he wasn’t naïve to think they could avoid the consequences.
If Lin Huang really brought people, the sect would force one or both of them to marry to forge an alliance with the beast region.
However, Yu Nianzhen wasn’t willing to be entangled and have to pay a price he couldn’t afford.
After thinking this, Yu Nianzhen knew that he and Jiang Yue couldn’t stay in the sect.
He didn’t plan to cut ties with the Sea Cloud sect for the time being, but the sect couldn’t do anything to them if they were not around.

"Let’s go in and talk."
The three entered the south courtyard and sat in a small sitting room.
Yu Nianzhen prepared a pot of tea and formally offered a cup to his master before settling down.
"Three petal ice leaf tea." Yang Xu stated with nostalgia in his voice.
"This disciple got it from fellow Daoist Wang Xue’er."
Yu Nianzhen talked about Wang Xue’er and the circumstances of her death.
In the end, Yang Xu could say nothing.
He couldn’t admonish his disciple since he wasn’t responsible for protecting the young lady. However, he was glad that Nianzhen had avenged the girl so that he would have the face to meet Bing Lan in the future.
"You have done all that should be done." He finally said.
"There is something else."
Yang Xu raised his eyebrow, but Yu Nianzhen didn’t speak.
Instead, he turned to Jiang Yue, who looked a little bad.
’Why is he looking at me? Does he want me to explain? Why do I have to explain?’ Jiang Yue complained.
However, he still explained about Lin Huang in detail.
When he heard everything, Yang Xu laughed in amusement, but he also knew the matter wasn’t trivial.
The girl was a princess.
If she was serious, his disciple and Jiang Yue would soon find themselves in a tough spot.
