Chapter 1131: Chapter 1131: My Brother Won’t Marry You Either...

"My brother wouldn’t marry you either..."

Grayson Quinn regretted these words as soon as he said them, speaking too hastily and letting slip something he shouldn’t have.

Junia Simpson’s finger paused as she was flipping her book, her slightly lowered eyes seemed lost in thought, with a hint of sadness in them.

...

Film set.

In this scene, Prince David Uwen faces an assassination attempt, and the cold attendant desperately comes to his rescue.

Aurelia Shaw has many action sequences in this scene.

As Sawyer called out "Start," Aurelia Shaw’s gaze transformed, filled with coldness and murderous intent, sending her long sword down to strike the person in front of her, catching in her peripheral vision the sight of someone rushing at the elegantly refined man.

"David Uwen, you destroyed my country, caused it to be fragmented, our people’s homes destroyed and lives lost, now go to Hell!" The long blade was raised, slashing down at David Uwen.

David Uwen’s body had no time to react as a figure leaped out to shield him.

David Uwen was taken aback; he had seen many faces of the cold attendant, most of the time she was expressionless, just like the day he rescued her, indifferent like a child numb to emotions from the outside world.

The face before him now was equally blank, a trickle of blood flowing from the corner of her mouth, her eyes locked tightly onto him, her black pupils reflecting his face – just like when he took her in, those intense black eyes always stared directly at him.

David Uwen caught the girl falling into his arms. Despite the rumors that he was unskilled in combat, he deftly twisted his body, his waist and foot swiftly maneuvered, sending the sword meant for him piercing into the attacker’s chest.

The attacker fell, eyes widening with disbelief, staring at David Uwen.

"Prince..." the woman in his arms murmured, the cold attendant’s brow furrowed, seemingly wanting to touch David Uwen’s face but rethought and lowered her hand.

Her voice returned to cool clarity: "I’m fine."

"Injured like this, you call it ’fine’!" David Uwen retorted.

For the first time, the cold attendant witnessed anger in his eyes.

David Uwen lifted her up and strode indoors, reprimanding in a deep voice: "Others might not know, but do you really not understand? The skills of such a mediocre fighter couldn’t possibly hurt me, why did you have to shield me from the blade?"

The cold attendant smiled bitterly.

Indeed, she knew better than anyone, yet at that moment, seeing him possibly injured, she instinctively dashed forward, and by the time her brain caught up, things had already turned out this way.

There was no room for reason.

"Hiss—" The fabric tore roughly open, revealing the girl’s shoulders, glistening skin soft and smooth, her back adorned with numerous scars from the past. David Uwen pressed on the cold attendant’s shoulder, "Don’t move."

The cold attendant was momentarily stunned, the burning pain in her shoulder preventing her from thinking of anything else.

Outside, the clash of blades, the sounds of battle cries, and the enemy’s wails echoed incessantly.

In stark contrast to the indoor scene.

The cold attendant gazed at the man’s face obscured between light and shadow, unsure if it was just her illusion, she noticed a softness.

"Cut!"

"Very good, very good." Sawyer’s face was filled with a sense of excitement, as if progress was rapid upon her return.

"Aurelia..." Jackson Xander approached, looking at Aurelia Shaw hesitantly.

"Hmm? What’s wrong?" Aurelia Shaw inquired.

"Well..." Jackson Xander hesitated, "Would you like to have dinner together tonight? ... No, no misunderstandings, it’s because I have questions about the script that I’d like to consult you on. I-I’m still new, and there are some details about acting and the script that I don’t quite grasp..."

Aurelia Shaw chuckled softly...
