Chapter 1112: Chapter 1112: You Really Care About Her
The only person daring enough to settle scores with the President is probably Mason Nightshade.
Adrian Cooper wasn’t bothered by his irreverence, following him inside, and whispered in Mason Nightshade’s ear: "The Capital City isn’t like the tabloid news online. Are you letting this girl march in so flamboyantly? Are you hurting her or protecting her?"
As soon as the words landed, Mason Nightshade tugged on the coat covering Aurelia Shaw, shielding her face.
Adrian Cooper clicked his tongue and said, "You’re really protective of her."
"Should I protect you instead?" Mason Nightshade retorted sarcastically, then turned to Ava Thompson, "Quick, take your man home. He’s so useless, couldn’t even watch over a woman, I don’t even want to say that out loud."
"Brother Mason, don’t bully Brother Adrian, he, he’s no match for you," Ava Thompson was busy defending her man, not noticing the darkened face of her own man.
This little girl actually said he’s no match for Mason Nightshade; when they get back, he ought to teach her the proper family rules, so she knows how to introduce her man outside.
"The room is ready for you," Adrian Cooper led them to the room where Aurelia Shaw previously stayed, raised a brow and teased, "I’ve postponed everyone who wanted to see you today. You two can do whatever you want, just don’t make my bed sheets too dirty, my maid can’t wash it off."
Mason Nightshade glanced at him, "Why keep such a useless maid then."
Yet there was no rebuttal.
Adrian Cooper didn’t expect Mason Nightshade to become so thick-skinned after falling in love.
"I’m afraid my maid’s eyes would be burned," Adrian Cooper said.
Mason Nightshade wasn’t lenient in his reply: "Since when have you been so considerate."
The implied meaning: he has never been considerate.
These two are great at clashing verbally; Ava Thompson knows them well, the two of them can hurl banter at each other all afternoon.
Ava Thompson tugged on Adrian Cooper’s sleeve and whispered, "Brother Adrian, let’s go, Brother Mason just got back, let them rest."
Adrian Cooper’s gaze softened, he nodded, and left holding Ava Thompson’s hand.

As soon as Adrian Cooper left, Mason Nightshade lifted the other corner of the blanket and lay down.
Aurelia Shaw snuggled in, finding a comfortable spot, her eyes still closed.
Mason Nightshade: "You’re awake? Did we wake you just now?" Blaming Adrian Cooper for his chattiness.
Aurelia Shaw shook her head, "It’s got nothing to do with them; I’m a light sleeper anyway."
If it weren’t for being with Mason Nightshade providing her a sense of security, she definitely wouldn’t have been able to sleep in such an environment, especially while on the move.
"Sleep a bit more," Mason Nightshade held her, gently patting her back.
Aurelia Shaw murmured softly, "Didn’t you say you’d wake me when we arrive?"
Now it’s quite the scene, almost all the high-ranking officials in the Capital City came to celebrate Mason Nightshade’s safe return.
Thankfully, the clothes covered her face.
Otherwise, by now, she’d have become the subject of investigation by various top officials, and a rival to all the women in the Capital City.
Still, that crowd of execs with their prying intentions have already targeted her.
But without knowing her face, they can’t investigate her.
Besides, Adrian Cooper isn’t a fool; naturally, he would take care of things.
That’s why she could comfortably pretend to sleep.
"You were tired, I wanted you to sleep a little longer." After a pause, Mason Nightshade added, "I didn’t know Adrian Cooper would call so many people over."
Initially, he had Rocco Cooper inform Adrian Cooper that he was safe, just to let him know, didn’t expect such a big arrangement from him.
