Chapter 1041: Chapter 1041: Don’t Tell Me You Didn’t Notice
Mason Nightshade was leaning over Aurelia Shaw, his dark eyes full of deep affection. The light above cast a snow-white glow on her face, and the fine hairs on her skin were clearly visible. Her lips were moist and tempting, making one want to nibble them.
Mason felt a stir in his heart, his throat moved slightly, and his gaze deepened as he stared at those red lips. With passion swirling in his eyes, he lowered his head, ready to kiss her—
"Creak!" Suddenly, the door was pushed open, and a small figure walked in. Mason Campbell stared wide-eyed at the two on the bed.
Mason Nightshade paused and looked towards the door, where he saw Mason Campbell standing. His brow twitched twice.
Not this brat again!
Mason Nightshade felt a headache coming on.
Initially, he brought the kid back to open Aurelia’s heart to children, but now he felt this kid was just being a nuisance everywhere.
Mason Nightshade walked over, grabbed Mason Campbell by his collar, and tossed him out.
As he turned back into the room, Mason Campbell pushed the door open and stomped back in, glaring angrily at Mason Nightshade.
Though he didn’t understand matters of love, seeing Mason Nightshade pressing Aurelia down, he was sure Mason Nightshade was bullying Aunt Aurelia! The bad guy!
Mason Nightshade felt another headache, picked up Mason Campbell by his collar again, and threw him out.
Before Mason Campbell could push the door open, Mason Nightshade directly locked it.
Ha, can’t get in now, can you?
"Knock knock! Knock knock—!" Outside, Mason Campbell kept pounding on the door, wishing he could shout if only he could speak.
Mason Nightshade ignored the noise at the door and walked towards the big bed, intending to continue what he hadn’t finished earlier, only to see Aurelia Shaw standing up.
She sighed helplessly and said to Mason Nightshade, "You’re going to scare him like this."
"This brat must be doing it deliberately to disrupt!" Mason Nightshade snorted.
Aurelia Shaw chuckled softly, "Since when did you become so serious with a child?"
Mason Nightshade raised an eyebrow at Aurelia Shaw, "Don’t tell me you haven’t noticed that he’s pretending not to know how to speak?"
Aurelia Shaw was taken aback.
Initially, Aurelia really hadn’t suspected Mason Campbell, but gradually she noticed something was off. True autism wouldn’t show affection to anyone nor express so many emotions.
But the little bun was cute, and he only approached her to spend more time with her, so Aurelia didn’t expose him.
"Why are you bickering with a child?" Aurelia sighed helplessly, opening the door.
Outside, Mason Campbell was already so anxious he cried, his eyes red like a little rabbit’s. Seeing Aurelia, he rushed over, bursting into tears.
Aunt Aurelia, it’s all my fault. It’s because I’m too young to protect you.
Aurelia picked up the little bun, wiped the tears off his face, "I wasn’t bullied, don’t cry anymore. Kids who cry aren’t cute."
Mason Campbell sniffled, holding back his tears that threatened to spill from his eyes.
Seeing this, Aurelia chuckled, "Come on, I’ll take you back to sleep."
Mason Campbell clung to her clothes, seemingly saying: I want to sleep with Aunt Aurelia.
"Don’t push your luck." Mason Nightshade’s voice sounded faintly.
Mason Campbell remembered the earlier incident and glared defiantly, afraid Mason Nightshade would bully Aunt Aurelia again.
"Okay." Aurelia agreed with a smile, catching Mason Nightshade’s gloomy face in the corner of her eye, her smile deepening.
Let this wolf keep enduring.
He had been too indulgent before, and if he was easily given what he wanted now, she didn’t know how he would become unrestrained later.
