Chapter 1846: Chapter 1846: Adorable Schoolgirl vs. Seductive Teacher (Part 33)

Deng Huijun glared at Gu Shengyin.

She had absolutely no idea how the person in front of her knew about the drug she had put in the tea.

She looked at the girl, who usually seemed like a little rabbit, now sitting calmly across from her, her delicate face completely expressionless, just staring at her steadily.

Deng Huijun actually felt a trace of pressure.

How is that possible?

Just a girl in her early twenties, how could she bring pressure to me?

Deng Huijun straightened her body, as if doing so would make herself appear more confident.

She did not answer Gu Shengyin’s question, but instead sneered, "You must be using that obedient little rabbit act to deceive those men, right? Tell me, if Guan Hanting saw you like this, would he still like you?"

When she finished speaking, she met Gu Shengyin’s eyes, which were looking at her as if watching a joke.

Gu Shengyin seemed to recognize Deng Huijun for the first time.

Or rather, from her gaze, Deng Huijun saw a deeper meaning—so the Teacher Deng I knew, is actually such a fool?

"So? Was it because you were jealous of my good relationship with Teacher Guan that you drugged me?"

Deng Huijun paused for a moment, then said coldly, "Who is jealous of you? What do you have that I could be jealous of?"

Gu Shengyin leaned easily against the backrest: "Then it must be because of the past grievances of the previous generation, right? My... cousin?"

Deng Huijun’s gaze contracted.

She stared at Gu Shengyin, "You actually..." know everything!

"Is it strange? I know my mom had a sister who was kicked out of the house and that my so-called aunt had a daughter—my cousin?" Gu Shengyin said slowly.

Her nonchalant manner seemed to infuriate Deng Huijun.

"Shut up!" Deng Huijun’s voice rose.

"What do you mean my mom was kicked out? It was obvious the Zhao Family was biased, so my mom left in anger!" Deng Huijun said sternly.

Gu Shengyin gently shook her head and said with regret, "I really feel sorry for you, cousin."

Deng Huijun widened her eyes at her.

Gu Shengyin said, "Living a whole life in lies, what’s the point?"

Deng Huijun, looking at her enigmatic demeanor, couldn’t help but say, "What exactly do you want to say?"

The fish was on the hook.

Gu Shengyin clapped her tea cup down with a "snap" sound.

She sat upright, dispelling her lazy demeanor, revealing the poised elegance typical of a well-bred lady from a prominent family.

"I guess my dear aunt never told you that she was kicked out of the Zhao Family because she dismissed a perfectly good marriage arrangement just to chase after your dad, becoming an unsavory... mistress," Gu Shengyin said one word at a time, as if afraid Deng Huijun couldn’t hear clearly.

Deng Huijun’s face turned pale.

She said sharply, "You’re lying! Chang Yu, I’m warning you, spreading rumors and defamation will hold legal consequences!"

Gu Shengyin gently shook her head: "Rumors? In the high society of Green City, who doesn’t know about the small scandal between your parents back then?"

Her voice was soft, yet it seemed to carry a mysterious power, effortlessly pulling Deng Huijun’s mind into the context she wanted.

"Think carefully, Teacher Deng, about those childhood years that you have no memory of... where exactly did you grow up?"
