Chapter 1826: Chapter 1826: Adorkable Schoolgirl vs. Gorgeous Teacher (Part 13)
When Deng Huijun saw Gu Shengyin, she walked over to them in a very familiar way.
"Chang Yu, what a coincidence." She greeted them with a squinty-eyed smile.
Gu Shengyin called out "Teacher Deng" in a very obedient tone.
Deng Huijun laughed: "I’m not that much older than you. Calling me ’teacher’ sounds so distant, doesn’t it? If you don’t mind, how about calling me ’sis’ instead?"
Gu Shengyin lifted her head and met Deng Huijun’s smiling eyes.
So you already want me to call you "sis" this soon?
Gu Shengyin answered with a smile: "I wouldn’t dare. You know you’re the standard Goddess of our school. If I call you ’sis’ today, tomorrow all the boys in school will be blocking my way to hand you love letters through me."
Deng Huijun’s eyes flickered: this girl was a bit smarter than she’d imagined.
Standing next to Gu Shengyin, Song Ruanruan looked completely confused: When did Mengmeng get to know Teacher Deng? And they even seem so close?
But this wasn’t something she could ask outright in front of them.
Just then, Gu Shengyin’s gaze swept over Deng Huijun’s feet, and she asked worriedly, "Teacher Deng, is your foot better?"
Deng Huijun’s expression stiffened.
She’d just casually used that as an excuse yesterday, and since she’d been in a hurry to see Chang Yu today when she went out, she’d actually forgotten about it.
Thankfully, she recovered quickly.
She hurriedly came up with an excuse in her mind: "I went to the hospital last night and had a special treatment done. It’s much better now."
She reached out and flicked the big wavy curls of her perm, and a mature, sexy femininity hit them straight on.
Song Ruanruan’s eyes went wide as she stared.
Deng Huijun smiled in satisfaction and winked at the two of them: "We women, for the sake of looking good, what’s a little foot pain?"
Gu Shengyin widened her eyes, as if she didn’t really understand what she meant.
She said worriedly, "Then you really need to be more careful, Teacher Deng. Don’t end up twisting your ankle; that kind of pain isn’t pleasant either."
Deng Huijun: "..." Can’t you say something nice!
She cursed in her heart, but still smiled on the surface and said, "Thank you for your concern, Chang Yu."
Gu Shengyin said, "Well, if there’s nothing else, Teacher Deng, we’ll get going. I already made plans to have a meal with Ruanruan."
Deng Huijun smiled and glanced at the two of them: "What a coincidence, I’m about to go eat too. How about I treat you to lunch as thanks for what happened yesterday?"
As soon as Song Ruanruan heard that, she was about to say that she could eat by herself just fine, but Gu Shengyin grabbed her arm.
Her expression looked a bit troubled: "But Ruanruan and I already planned to go have hot pot together. Besides, Teacher Deng, what happened yesterday was just something I should’ve done. You don’t have to take it so seriously..."
The implication being: she couldn’t break that appointment.
Hearing that, and seeing how that classmate of hers didn’t know how to tactfully refuse at all,
She could only keep smiling and say, "Then I’ll treat the both of you together."
This time, Gu Shengyin no longer had any reason to refuse and could only "reluctantly" agree.
While the two waited for Deng Huijun to go get her car, Song Ruanruan quietly asked, "Mengmeng, when did you get to know Teacher Deng?"
Gu Shengyin briefly explained what had happened yesterday in just a couple of sentences.
Song Ruanruan’s eyes widened: "Then Teacher Deng is really so gentle. She even specially came to thank you for that."
Gu Shengyin just smiled noncommittally: "Maybe."
Considering they both had classes in the afternoon, Deng Huijun took them to a buffet restaurant not too far from the school.
Deng Huijun was feeling quite depressed.
She’d originally wanted to use this chance to get along with Chang Yu and, ideally, dig up some information from her.
But with Song Ruanruan standing there like a post beside them, she could hardly get a word in.
