Chapter 1824: Chapter 1824: Adorkable Schoolgirl vs. Glamorous Teacher (Part 11)
But only when Deng Huijun truly got close to Guan Hanting, did she realize she was wrong.
She thought this man was like many others, outwardly proper, but treated beautiful women differently.
However, this principle didn’t apply to Guan Hanting.
Deng Huijun could sense that the way this man looked at her was not like other men.
His eyes showed no trace of amazement, nor did he feel flattered by her initiation of conversation.
It seemed that such a perfect beauty as her was no different to him than those young female students.
Deng Huijun felt a bit helpless.
It was her first time feeling defeated by a man.
Guan Hanting roughly sensed a bit of Deng Huijun’s intentions but he felt no special feelings for his excellent female colleague.
He glanced at his watch to check the time, nodded at Deng Huijun and said, "Teacher Deng, I have some things to attend to this evening. If there’s nothing important, I’ll be leaving first."
He lifted his leg to walk past Deng Huijun, but his movement suddenly paused.
Deng Huijun noticed his action and, puzzled, followed his gaze.
Not far away, two female students were staring in their direction. Besides them, it was clear they were looking at her and Guan Hanting.
What interested Deng Huijun was that one of the female students was her blood-related cousin—Chang Yu.
But, did Teacher Guan know them?
Deng Huijun pondered this for a second before she realized Guan Hanting had already started walking towards the school garage again.
He didn’t look in the direction of the two female students again, as if the pause was merely an illusion.
Deng Huijun didn’t think much of it upon seeing this; perhaps it was just a simple coincidence?
"Let’s head back," Gu Shengyin said to Song Ruanruan as they watched the two part ways.
Song Ruanruan nodded quickly.
Talking and secretly watching others, only to be noticed, is a slightly embarrassing situation.
Deng Huijun watched Gu Shengyin walk away, and a smile appeared at the corner of her lips.
"Chang Yu, your cousin will be looking for you soon."
Deng Huijun acted quickly.
The next day, as Gu Shengyin was going to class, someone called out to her.
"Hey student, hello." Gu Shengyin turned around.
Deng Huijun looked at her apologetically, "Are you from the Chinese department? I’m a teacher from the Foreign Languages department. I have some materials to give to Director Xiao of your Chinese department, but I’ve just twisted my ankle. Could you help me deliver them?"
How could an average student refuse such a request?
Gu Shengyin nodded and took the thick stack of materials from Deng Huijun’s hand.
Deng Huijun seized the chance to pull a business card from her purse and handed it to her, "I’m Teacher Deng Huijun from the Foreign Languages department. Really, thank you. What’s your name, by the way?"
Gu Shengyin showed her standard eight-tooth smile, "My name is Chang Yu, no need for formality, Teacher."
Chang Yu’s skin was very fair, as smooth as white porcelain, with her beautiful eyes being the most striking feature. Her eyes were large, the black and white pupils like two clear pools, and when she smiled, she had an innocent, childlike aura.
Her nickname, Chang Mengmeng, partly came from her innocence that resembled a little girl.
