Chapter 95: The God of Eternal.... Winters

Once, a tender flame glowed in his heart, as soft as the first light of morning over snow-covered fields.

But time... it stripped away all that mattered—love, warmth, innocence, and the gentle promise of spring.

Now the final ember trembles before fading, locked away behind walls of unyielding frost.

No tears will fall....

No fire will return....

And... all that’s left is silence.... stillness—the endless, haunting beauty and cruelty of the Eternal Winter.

HUMMMMMM!!!!!

As soon as the Prince of Loria’s mocking words faded, Melvin remained completely silent.

In the next heartbeat, his full Star Union Tier 18 power erupted.

The entire palace groaned as winter claimed it.

Frost crept along the walls like veins come to life, while chandeliers burst apart into sparkling shards of ice.

The men hanging in the throne room froze solid mid-scream, their bodies cracking and exploding into frozen shards moments later — all except his father, whose body he deliberately preserved in a perfect casing of eternal ice, just like his mother and sister.

The Prince of Loria’s eyes went wide with pure shock.

"How... how is this even possible?!" he stuttered, taking an unsteady step back.

"You were Starbound Tier 4 just a year ago... and now you’re... what?!"

Right then, the prince couldn’t even begin to measure the scope of Melvin’s power.

All he knew was that it far surpassed his own Tier 15 strength—he could feel it in the sheer weight pressing down on him and see it in the strange blur that seemed to cling to Melvin’s form.

And... in response to his words, Melvin said nothing.

He lifted his hand, and the Dreamer’s Mask drifted into his grasp. Rather than wearing it to disappear, he slowly turned it over, his face still in full view — cold, sharp, and completely merciless.

And with a thought, he activated one of his innate powers.

HUMMMMM!!!!!

[Absolute Frost Dominion (Above Origin)]

In that instant, everything in the room seemed to freeze on some deeper, almost impossible level.

Time dragged to a crawl, heat vanished completely, and movement lost all sense of purpose.

Even the memory of warmth was wiped away under the unyielding rule of winter.

Then Melvin stepped forward at a measured pace, the Eternal Blade of Frost dragging along the icy floor with a sound that echoed like a ghost through the stillness.

SHRRRRRRKKKK!!!!

The Prince of Loria took a step back, but as soon as Melvin’s Absolute Frost Domain kicked in, every bit of motion in the room came to a complete standstill.

The air felt heavy, time itself seemed to hold its breath.

The prince was caught mid-step, his eyes wide with fear, body locked in place, unable to so much as blink.

Melvin, calm and deliberate, lifted his sword.

SHKKKKK!!!!

The blade slid into the prince’s abdomen with a wet, nauseating sound.

With deliberate slowness, he twisted it, tearing free a kidney.

The prince’s scream ripped through the throne room — raw, guttural, and filled with agony.

"AAAAAAGHHHH!!!"

In an instant, Melvin sealed the wound with a burst of frost, halting the bleeding before it could become fatal too quickly.

SHKKKK!!!!! SHKKK!!!!!!

Another slice, and the second kidney was removed. The prince’s screams grew hoarse and ragged, his body shaking uncontrollably yet unable to move under the grip of the conceptual freeze.

SHKKK!!!!!!

The liver came next, and the prince’s cries quickly dissolved into wet, choking gurgles as his body shook violently.

And through it all... Melvin stayed completely silent, his pale eyes devoid of emotion, cold and unblinking.

Without hesitation, he lifted the sword once more.

He gouged out the prince’s left eye, then the right

Then finally, with the same terrifying calm, Melvin brought the blade down.

SHKKKKK!!!!

He cut off the prince’s penis.... and then came the scream — the most shattered of them all — a piercing, drawn-out wail that dwindled into faint, pitiful gasps.

It was only after that haunting sound faded that Melvin lifted his sword for the final time.

With one smooth, deliberate swing, he encased the prince entirely in ice, capturing him as a twisted, tormented statue, locked forever in the terror of his last breath.

Melvin stood motionless before the frozen statue that had once been the Prince of Loria.

The grotesque ice figure captured every detail of the man’s final moments — mouth twisted in a silent scream, hands clawing desperately at nothing, eyes wide with eternal terror.

Frost clung to the blade still embedded in the statue’s chest, glittering coldly under the faint light filtering through the shattered windows.

For a long moment, Melvin stared at what remained of the person who had destroyed his family.

Then, voices drifted in from outside the palace — calm, almost triumphant.

He turned slowly toward the broken window.

There, floating just beyond the palace grounds, stood the Ancestor of Loria and the Queen of Loria. The Ancestor held a large, glowing tube in her hands, filled with swirling, thick fluid that pulsed with captured life force.

The Ancestor smiled, her pale face serene.

"I must thank you, child. You have completed the final catalyst. Now... I can finally return home."

Seeing them together—the long brown hair, the deep brown eyes—Melvin’s pale eyes narrowed.

Without a sound, he lunged forward, bursting through the shattered window in a spray of glass and ice.

Before he could reach them, both women disappeared in a dazzling golden flash, leaving behind only the faint echo of laughter.

Melvin hit the frozen ground outside, frost surging outward from his feet.

For a moment, he stood frozen in place, the cold wind tugging at his short black hair.

Then, far off in the distance, he felt it — a massive barbarian army charging toward the kingdom’s borders.

His jaw clenched, and in a low, icy voice, he finally spoke.

"...Fine."

He reached up and adjusted the Dreamer’s Mask properly over his face.

Instantly, his presence vanished completely.

In the next instant, he made a direct beeline toward the midst of the incoming barbarian forces — a silent shadow of winter encroaching among thousands of roaring warriors.
