Chapter 60: Happy Birthday Babyboy (2) - Special Gacha
"Aethea... how has the Clan been over the eras?"
Aethea looked at Akashi with a somewhat pitiful expression, her black eyes softening as she slowly set her teacup down on the floating table.
The delicate porcelain made a soft click against the surface, the sound almost too gentle for the weight of her words.
"You’re truly pitiful compared to the rest of your family, you know that?" Aethea said quietly, her voice carrying a mix of affection and sorrow.
"Always watching from afar... never truly free to act as you wish."
Akashi rolled her eyes and leaned back in her seat with a knowing sigh. She’d heard this story more times than she could count.
Aethea went on, her pale fingers idly tracing the rim of her cup.
"Your other siblings had freedom from the start... but you were sent here because of your father. All because of—"
Akashi lifted a hand, stopping her gently but firmly.
"Aethea... for the love of the Gods... can we not go down this road again?!"
Aethea paused, then smiled — a small, resigned smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.
"Well, the rest of the Clan is doing well child. Some of your mothers are planning to visit soon... and maybe your father as well, if he ever stops his... activities."
Akashi nodded, the tension easing from her shoulders.
A soft, genuine smile touched her lips as she glanced back up at the live projection of her son training in the Weapons Enlightenment Arena.
"Hmm, today’s my baby boy’s birthday," she said warmly. "What should I give him?"
Aethea turned her gaze to the projection, studying Akasha deeply.
Her black eyes narrowed slightly, a faint arch forming in her brow.
"Why does he seem so weak?" she asked, her tone genuinely curious. "Not in strength... but in potential."
Akashi’s expression darkened into a scowl.
She leaned forward, her ever-shifting eyes flashing with warning.
"Don’t test me, Aethea..... Besides I’ve been trying not to interfere with his life as much as possible. He doesn’t want so much direct help."
Aethea continued watching Akasha train with his scythe for a moment longer, the projection showing him effortlessly carving through thousands of constructs.
She then spoke calmly.
"Then give him a Lesser Divine Power. Since he doesn’t want much help... it would be something useful for a while before it becomes useless — if he’s anything like the rest of your family."
Akashi arched another brow, considering the suggestion.
After a brief pause, she waved her hand with elegance.
A faint ripple of power flowed from her fingertips, vanishing into the projection and sent straight into Akasha’s Gacha System.
Turning back to Aethea, her voice carried quiet certainty.
"Since you’ve got nothing better to do than watch," she said, "why not watch my boy’s story... while Vigil keeps an eye on the others?
And I promise you, my son will be the closest thing to my father—if not something even greater."
Aethea simply laughed, the sound light and disbelieving.
"Pfft.... That’s just pure... nonsense and you know it." She said before continuing. "However, considering you’re much different from your other sisters, who think your father is the only thing in existence....
I will stick around and see what the boy becomes...."

CLANG!!!!!
CLANG!!!!!
Akasha moved through the Weapons Enlightenment Arena with a fluid, predatory rhythm, the purple‑and‑white scythe carving arcs of light through the air as constructs surged toward him in endless waves.
Each construct was forged from the Arena’s will — towering figures of metal, stone, and force — yet none of them slowed him.
His movements were sharp, elegant, and unbroken, each step flowing into the next as though the scythe itself guided him.
CLANG! CLANG!
The sound of metal shattering echoed across the vast chamber as Akasha spun, the scythe trailing a streak of violet light.
With a single slash, the entire formation of constructs collapsed, their bodies splitting apart in perfect symmetry before dissolving into motes of fading energy.
Akasha exhaled slowly, lowering the scythe.
His brow furrowed.
"...Something still doesn’t feel right," he muttered, his voice low, almost annoyed. Over the past year, although he hadn’t spent time in the Dream Land, his power had never stop rising.
As mentioned before, ranking up was as simple as living in harmony with one’s star and Akasha, so long as he used his powers over dreams to do... anything.
That alone would help him advance.
So instead, he had spent most of his time mastering a new weapon—a God-Ranked Scythe he had forged within Dream Land.
Though even after a full year of training in the Weapon’s Enlightenment arena, he still felt stuck, as if he were on the verge of a breakthrough that stubbornly refused to come.
He adjusted his grip, preparing to continue—
—but in that moment, the Arena froze.
A soft chime echoed in his mind.
A status alert appeared before him, shimmering with familiar warmth.
[Happy Birthday Babyboy... I hope you like your new gift – Love Mommy.]
[P.S – Stop bad mouthing me boy! It hurts... my heart.]
Akasha stared at the message for a long moment, his expression settling into a mix of disbelief and irritation.
"...Babyboy?" he muttered under his breath, shoulders tightening. He didn’t need to wonder who this could be.
Aside from Luna, there was only one other person who could interact with his system and present him with gifts.
"And... what does she mean by birthday?"
It was confusing—sure, it was a new year, but nowhere near his birth month. Still, now that he thought about it...
’You know what... fuck it. Let’s just see what these items are.’
The scythe lowered further, the constructs halting mid‑materialization as the Arena responded to the intrusion.
Akasha rubbed the bridge of his nose, exhaling sharply.
"And what does she mean bad mouthing her?" He muttered, "Woman... I haven’t thought about you in a full year."
He honestly couldn’t figure out how his mother always managed to get under his skin like no one else.
Normally, he wouldn’t think much of it if she just sent a random gift out of the blue.
But only a year ago, she had nearly struck him with lightning, and now she was proving she could actually speak to him when she wanted to.
Still, she hadn’t offered a single explanation for why she hadn’t shown up. Instead of dwelling on it or letting himself sulk, he turned his attention to his system.

Luna and Yume hovered together, watching Akasha’s face of conflict as he stared at the new power in his status.
Yume spoke softly; her voice filled with gentle curiosity.
"How long does he plan to hold a grudge against Mother Dream?"
Ever since her mind linked with Akasha, she had absorbed the full account of his life, including the wretched existence he endured on Earth.
She knew the situation inside out and understood it as best she could.
Luna chuckled softly, shaking her head as her pinkish-purple hair swayed with the movement.
"Who knows? Maybe until they finally meet each other... He’s obviously not the kind to be swayed by kind gestures."
Akasha let out a slow, measured breath before lifting his gaze toward them.
"Luna. Yume." His voice carried across the arena, steady and unhurried. "Come on. We’re starting the plan today."
The two women exchanged a brief glance before dissolving into a soft shimmer of light, appearing beside him as he stepped out of the Weapons Enlightenment Arena.
The lingering hum of shattered constructs faded behind him, replaced by the quiet rustle of leaves from the Golden Apple Tree.
----
They walked together toward the treehouse built into the living trunk.
Inside, the living room was open with soft seating, shelves lined with books and strange artifacts, and a television resting against a smooth, grown‑wood wall.
Akasha lowered himself cross‑legged in front of the TV.
Yume settled at his right, Luna at his left, both watching him with quiet attention.
In this moment, he brought up his status screen.
