Chapter 30: A Bloody Euphoria (2)
"Old Dragon... tear this bastard apart!" Kaleb Nova roared from atop his mount, his voice thick with venom and desperation.
RRRROAAARRRRR!!!!!
The massive Tier 15 Flame Dragon let out a thunderous bellow as both it and Kaleb surged forward in a head-on collision course with Akasha.
The air between them warped from the sheer pressure of their approach.
Before they could close the distance of 10,000 kilometers, Kaleb suddenly lunged off the dragon’s head.
[-4,000 DP - Greater Construct]
HUMMMMM!!!!!
In the same instant, the colossal beast burned through over 4,000 Divinity Points, its body flaring with intense draconic energy.
In that instant, a barrage of distinctive Draconic constructs erupted into Akasha’s path—towering spectral dragon claws raked through the air, chains of blazing runes coiled and writhed, and colossal dragon heads roared before lunging with bone-crushing force, all desperate to halt his advance.
Then Kaleb’s Divine Ring blazed to life, and in his grasp formed a long, foreboding spear that was one of the three most important artifacts of the Nova Dragon’s entire clan.
HUMMMMM!!!!
The very fabric of space around the weapon splintered like brittle glass as he tightened his hold.
"Old Dragon... NOW!"
[Fire Affinity]
FWOOOOOOSHHHH!!!!!
The Tier 15 dragon opened its massive maw and fired a condensed ball of divine flames straight at Akasha.
At the same time, Kaleb hurled the spear with all his might.
As the spear streaked through the air, a phantom dragon took shape around it, letting out a deafening roar that echoed toward Akasha while the weapon hurtled straight for him.
BOOOOOM!
BOOOOM!
BOOOOM!
Akasha laughed — a wild, euphoric, almost manic sound that cut through the explosions like a blade.
His bloody eyes were wide and shining with pure, blood-drunk delight as he deliberately crashed straight into the incoming draconic constructs.
Spectral dragon claws broke against his body like fragile glass.
Rune chains snapped and crumbled on contact, while roaring dragon heads exploded into sparks the instant they touched him.
And... he tore through them all with zero effort, with his laughter growing louder and more unhinged as he reveled in the feeling of absolute dominance.
"Hahahaha! Is this all you’ve got?!" he roared joyfully, voice thick with ecstasy. "Come on! Show me more!"
ROAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!
Thousands of other dragons attacked him from every angle — fireballs, claw strikes, tail whips, and waves of draconic divinity.
But Akasha simply weaved through them all with effortless grace, his movements flawless and seamless under Primordial Flow.
With his passive battle style abilities, the attacks that should have hit him curved away at the last moment or were ignored entirely as he flew straight through the chaos like it was nothing more than a light breeze.
The spear Kaleb launched, however, was different.
It locked onto him like a homing missile, the phantom dragon around it roaring louder as it accelerated with terrifying speed.
"A Primordial-ranked spear, huh..." he remarked with calm detachment. If Kaleb had been any stronger, maybe this weapon would have posed a real threat.
Like all primordial artifacts, the spear boosted Kaleb’s raw output by four full tiers, bringing him to Tier 16.
To Akasha, it was still nothing.
[Fire Affinity]
He completely ignored the incoming fireball launched by the Tier 15 Dragon as he activated his own affinity.
Then in one fluid motion, he reached out and caught the primordial spear mid-flight without even breaking speed.
WHOOOOOOSH!!!!!!!
RRRROOOOARRRRRR!!!!!!
Then, with terrifying ease, he flipped in the air and launched it back toward Kaleb with even greater force.
The spear roared as it reversed direction, the illusory dragon now screaming in agony as it was dragged along with it.
As Akasha flew straight through the dragon’s fireball, he casually began to manipulate the flames.
FWOOOOOM!!!!!
Behind him, as he accelerated toward Kaleb, a massive ball of fire rapidly formed overhead — swirling, superheated, and far denser than the original attack.
With a mere flicker of intent, he launched it forward.
The colossal fireball screamed through the air and slammed into the Tier 15 dragon with cataclysmic force.
[-1,000 DP - Greater Construct]
The beast desperately summoned a Greater Construct Barrier, burning 1,000 Divinity Points in a desperate attempt to shield itself.
HUMMMMM!!!!!
BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!
For a split second, shimmering draconic runes flared to life — but they shattered instantly.
The fireball completely overpowered the barrier, engulfing the dragon in an explosion of white-hot flames.
Its roar of agony was cut short as its massive body burst apart mid-air, charred chunks raining down as it plummeted toward the ground.
Kaleb, however, he was... helped at the last possible moment.
HUMMMM!!!
Right before the redirected primordial spear could impale him, a sudden badge on his clothes shone with brilliant light. In a flash of spatial distortion, both he and the spear were warped away to safety.
Akasha came to a sharp halt in the air, frowning slightly as he watched them vanish. He tilted his head, clicking his tongue in mild annoyance.
"Tch... is that some kind of life-saving mechanism?" he grumbled. "I shouldn’t have played with my food..."
He knew he could have easily one-shotted everyone here with his raw power at its current level. Still, he couldn’t deny that, in this moment, he was genuinely having fun.
He turned slowly toward the thousands of dragons still desperately flying at him, even as their eyes were wide with shock and terror.
A lazy, euphoric smile crept across his blood-streaked face as he clasped his hands behind his back, looking almost at ease.
"I’ll clean that mess up later," he said lightly. "But for now... I think I’ll enjoy myself."
In that moment, he unleashed his Dream Affinity once more.
[Dream Affinity]
[-1,000,000 DP -??? Construct]
Then he poured a million Divinity Points into his imagination, simply because he could.
HUMMMMMMM!!!!!!
CRRRRAAACCCCCKKKK!!!!
The space around the entire dragon army suddenly shattered like fragile glass.
In that moment, a deep, endless void was revealed — an abyssal darkness that even made Akasha’s own body shudder for a brief instant.
Then, just as quickly, space stitched itself back together.
From far above the clouds, something colossal began its slow, ominous descent.
Akasha’s construct emerged, at first revealing only a pair of massive, glowing deep-purple eyes that hung in the sky like twin moons casting silent judgment.
Moments later, enormous dark hands, each as vast as a mountain, swept down with a thunderous clap, the impact rippling through the battlefield and shaking the ground beneath every warrior’s feet.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
Inside that single devastating clap, over 60,000 dragons were instantly turned into nothing but blood and paste.
Their bodies exploded into red mist, bones pulverized, scales reduced to dust.
All as torrential rain of gore fell from the sky, all of it funneled perfectly into the massive swirling pool of dream essence below.
Akasha smiled, drunk on the carnage and the overwhelming rush of power.
"Oh yea... I’m definitely cannonballing." He muttered to himself.
Then without hesitation, he dove straight down toward the blood pool, free-falling from the skies.
As he descended, his blood-soaked clothes began to vanish piece by piece until he was left wearing only a pair of simple black boxers.
SPLASH!!!!!
He crashed into the pool with a resounding splash, disappearing beneath the surface of churning dragon blood and dream essence.
"Haha! Hell yeah!"
