Chapter 20: Five Unranked Items - Golden Apple Tree
[Primordial Origin Heart (???) – A conceptual heart formed from a faint wisp of Origin’s Essence, permanently boosting the user’s Battle Power by +10.]
[Domain Expansion Token (???) – Instantly expands the Domain to match the user’s Divine Sense Radius and grants a new feature to the Domain.]
[Divine Void Ring (???) – Unlimited storage with time halted inside to perfectly preserve items.]
[Primordial Comprehension Crystal (???) – Grants instant comprehension of any external skill or technique for up to one hour.]
[Golden Apple Tree (???) – A tree that instantly grows to Galaxy maturity, producing apples that give a massive boost to a single category (Power by one major rank, BP by +15, instant comprehension of conceptual paths, etc.).
Usable once every 100,000 years and reaches maturity when the user attains Multiversal Power.]
---
Akasha stared at the glowing status screen floating before him, his eyes wide and a goofy, almost dazed smile slowly spreading across his face.
Luna stared at the list in utter shock, her expression mirroring the disbelief on Akasha’s face.
The fact that these were all unranked items was one thing. However, it was what they did that truly mindboggling.
Just because an item was unranked didn’t mean it was useful. Take the void ring, for example—while it sounded handy, to Akasha it was little more than decoration.
Since his system already had an inventory and he was pretty sure he could store things in Dream Land too.
Luna muttered under her breath, her usual playful tone replaced by something far more serious, almost reverent.
"Does... your mother really plan to spoil you this much?"
She’d expected the Gacha rolls to be far from ordinary, but she hadn’t anticipated seeing items that could both aid her and ones far beyond her current abilities.
Her gaze lingered most on the Golden Apple Tree, something that could directly elevate her power in more ways than one.
And... Akasha, for once, couldn’t form words.
He just kept smiling that goofy, stunned smile, his crimson and white hair shifting in the breeze as he reread the list over and over.
The entire thing felt too unbelievable, like something even beyond the wildest fantasies he had read back on Earth.
After a long moment, he finally muttered, voice hoarse with disbelief.
"Holy shit..."
He rose his head the cool mountain wind brushing against his skin as he stretched lightly, trying to shake off the daze.
"The Evolution task will have to wait for a few hours" he said that his voice still tinged with that familiar undercurrent of excitement.
With these new items, there was just no way he would leave before using... everything he could.
Luna shook her shock away, tilting her head as she asked knowingly.
"So... what do you have planned now?"
Akasha tilted his head, a thoughtful grin forming.
"Well, I’m wondering just how anomalous Yume really is."
At that moment, he spoke to her internally.
-----
’Hey, Yume... are you able to access the Dream Land the same way I can?’
He asked, figuring that even though he could enter it himself, it would be easier and more efficient if she could handle it.
After all, Luna knew his clear intention was to bring a new artifact into existence in the waking world, something that would help him with several things, all tied to his evolution task and his domain expansion token.
Hearing him, Yume responded almost instantly, her voice soft and curious in his mind.
[Master, could you please elaborate?] she asked sweetly before continuing.
[Within Dream Land, there is much I can do... but also so much I cannot. Due to you only being at the Divine Seed rank, I am severely limited.]
Hearing this, his lip twitched.
’Well... tell me, can you dream things into the waking world for me?’
However, as soon as he asked that, another idea popped into his head.
’Hmmm, better yet... why not try coming out into the waking world yourself, using me as your tether?
Don’t ask me how, because I honestly have no clue. Just... feel it out or something.’
-----
Within the Land of Dreams and Nightmares, Yume sat cutely at a table floating above the cloudy lands below.
She heard his words with perfect clarity, as if they were broadcast across the entire Dream Land like a gentle intercom echoing through the misty expanse.
Yume muttered to herself, voice soft and thoughtful, "I’m not even sure if Star Entities are supposed to leave..."
She paused, tapping her chin with a finger.
"But then again... am I even a proper Star Entity at all? I don’t know anything about being a Star... nor do I know any of the intricacies."
She was well aware of Dreams, the Dreamland, and the ways to guide Akasha along the uses of the Dreamland functions, yet something about her own circumstances still struck her as oddly peculiar, in a way she couldn’t quite define.
And.... leaving the Dreamland had never seriously crossed her mind before; the thought was both thrilling and strangely alien to her.
As she rose from the table, she paused, closing her eyes to imagine his item into being, her voice drifting back to him with a soft, inquisitive lilt.
"Well, Master just what do you want?"
Akasha’s reply came clearly through the connection.
"I simply need something to expand my total divinity capacity and something to locate Ruins in my vicinity... or to locate them period."
Yume smiled gently, her dreamy purple hair swaying as she concentrated.
Moments later, Akasha received two notifications, and a small compass materialized in her delicate hand.
It was beautifully crafted — deep, shimmering purple with faint, swirling patterns of silver and purple that moved like living constellations across its surface.
The chain was made of delicate, glowing threads that seemed to drift as if underwater, and the face of the watch had soft, ethereal hands that ticked with a quiet, almost melodic rhythm.
A status screen appeared before Akasha, glowing with soft silver and violet light.
---
[You have created two new artifacts.]
[The Dreamweaver’s Compass (Above Origin) (Tier 21/21) – A small, elegant compass that serves as a guide to hidden or ancient locations.
When activated, it gently reveals the path toward the nearest significant Ruin, hidden site, or place of power within Divine Sense range.
The closer the target, the stronger and warmer the pulse becomes.
It can also mark locations you have already discovered, allowing you to return to them instantly. The artifact grows more accurate and gains additional features as your rank and power increase.]
----
[The Mark of Divine (Above Origin) (21/21 Tiers) - a permanent tattoo that stays with its bearer for life.
It grants immense multipliers to the user’s total divinity based on their current rank, growing exponentially as power increases.
At Tier 21, it provides an astonishing 100,000x boost to the user’s divinity.
It also allows the user to channel their affinities and abilities through their Divine Sense with flawless precision, bypassing most barriers and defenses so their Divine Sense flows effortlessly.]
----
Yume then stood up from her table, the soft, unstable ground of the Dream Land shifting gently beneath her feet like thick, layered clouds.
She held the newly created compass in her delicate hands, its purple surface shimmering with faint, living constellations that drifted slowly across its face.
The cool, heavy air of the realm brushed against her skin as she took a tentative step forward, trying to feel for Akasha’s presence — the same familiar pull she always sensed when he was within the Dream Land.
At first... there was nothing.
A small frown touched her lips, her purple hair swaying in the strange currents as she concentrated harder, fingers tightening around the compass.
Then, Akasha closed his eyes himself as he figured it would be easier if he slipped slightly into the Dream Land — not fully entering but hovering in a kind of limbo between waking and dreaming.
HUM!
The instant he acted, the connection surged to life, like a warm thread snapping taut in the emptiness around them.
Yume sensed it at once, the shift unmistakable.
Her eyes opened in quiet astonishment as she gripped the tether, feeling its pull, while the compass in her hands flared with a brighter glow for just a heartbeat.
Then in that moment, the world around her blurred and stretched, the misty clouds dissolving into swirling light as Akasha gently pulled her through.
----
A rift opened in the air beside Akasha and Luna.
Akasha smiled as Yume appeared on the peak.
"Yume, welcome to the waking world."
And as she appeared with the compass, a new tattoo had appeared on his face under his left eye—purple, red, and white, resembling swirling dreams and galaxies.
Yume stood shyly, her purple hair drifting softly in the mountain breeze as she clutched the compass tightly.
She bowed her head slightly, cheeks faintly flushed.
"T-Thank you, Master... I hope I can be useful here as well."
