Chapter 12: The Journey Towards Power

[A/N: I know the R-18 ended abruptly but think of it as a teaser! Once the Chapters are locked, the scenes will be much improved with proper endings.]

----

After countless hours of enjoyment, Akasha and Luna finally brought their activities to a halt.

It wasn’t due to exhaustion — far from it.

In this world, beings could remain awake indefinitely, provided they were free of inner conflicts or possessed at least one divinity.

Still, they had carried on well into the night, and with that, Akasha’s first official day in Kalpa drew to a close.

It had been, without a doubt, an exceptionally long day.

But now that the barriers between him and Luna had been... well, nearly dissolved and he was prepared to begin his pursuit of power.

The bright daylight shone warmly across the mountain peak, the seven suns casting a golden glow over the entire Dreamer’s Peak.

Akasha sat bare chested on the peak, his skin still slightly flushed, while Luna sat beside him wearing her robes loosely draped over her body, the fabric barely holding together and revealing plenty of smooth skin.

Akasha leaned back on his hands, a lazy smile on his face as the warm sunlight bathed them both.

"After all that... I’m surprised the ground didn’t at least crack," he joked, glancing at her with a playful glint in his blood-red eyes.

As the experience for him was obviously one for the books, not to even mention again what he couldn’t do in his past.

But just imagine how fun it would be to lose your virginity to the Spirit of Lust? Or even better, taking the virginity of the Spirit of Lust?

"Haha, regardless... this is definitely something I’ll hold close," he mused.

Luna chuckled softly, her laughter light and playful as she leaned into him, strands of pink and purple hair cascading over her shoulder.

"You weren’t half bad for your first time," she shot back with a wicked smile.

"Your hip movement is impressive... and that tongue of yours? Definitely a quick learner. I’d rate your sex game a solid eight out of ten already."

Akasha chuckled, then asked more seriously, "How come your hair and everything changed like that?"

Luna gave a light shrug, the motion causing her loose robes to slide a bit farther down one shoulder.

She hadn’t really expected such a thing to happen, but she didn’t mind the new look.

"I guess it’s because I’m the Spirit of Lust and I finally experienced it all—my first kiss, my first time, my first everything," she said casually.

Akasha let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. As mentioned earlier, he obviously had found out through the night that she was indeed a spirit of lust.

He couldn’t help but want to facepalm, realizing he hadn’t noticed the signs earlier.

"Spirit of Lust, huh? Haha, I guess that’s why you’re always so horny," he said with a laugh.

"I mean, before this, I just thought you were an old spirit who hadn’t gotten her rocks off in a while."

Luna rolled her eyes, but her lips curved into an amused smile as she gave him a playful nudge with her elbow.

"Whatever Akasha, now it’s time to focus," she said.

"We’ve already wasted too much time. If you want plan on getting in tune with the world affairs, you need to at least gain some sort of strength."

Akasha nodded, shifting his focus inward.

He knew she was right and honestly, if not for previous events... He would have already began on his road to power.

Now, in this quiet moment, he honed in on the connection he shared with his Star.

Since he had yet to speak to or hear from the entity dwelling within, he decided to reach out.

But as he did, time seemed to slip away.

Even after ten full minutes, there was nothing—no voice, no sign, just silence.

He felt no connection to any entity at all, and Luna noticed it too, her expression turning slightly more serious.

Before either of them could comment, Akasha finally felt something.

No—more accurately, he heard something.

An almost frantic female voice echoed in his mind.

[Master! You must hurry into Dream Land, or you will never be able to rank up!]

The voice came urgent and breathless. In that moment, he felt an undeniable pull deep within—as if he could just slip effortlessly into another version of himself.

Without a second thought, he gave in to the sensation.

In the blink of an eye, both he and Luna were gone from sight on the mountain peak, though their bodies remained seated, unmoving and serene beneath the warm embrace of the midday sun.

-----

In the vast cosmology of Pantheos, beings could go their entire lifespans without ever sleeping.

As long as their health remained untroubled by curses, wounds, or similar afflictions, and they possessed only a single divinity, they could remain awake without any consequences.

But if that were the case, what would become of dreams?

More importantly, how would dreams exist if these beings spent all their time in reality rather than in slumber?

Well....

Akasha and Luna appeared in a place that felt fundamentally different from anything real.

The ground beneath their feet was soft and slightly yielding, like walking on thick, layered clouds made of condensed divinity.

The air was cool and heavy, carrying a faint, indefinable scent—something between rain on dry earth and the faint sweetness of forgotten childhood memories.

There was no sky above them in the traditional sense, only an endless, shifting expanse of muted grays and soft blues that seemed to breathe slowly, as if the world itself was sleeping.

The landscape stretched out in every direction with nothing but land.

Other than that, it was completely empty... except for the chaos.

BOOOOM!!!!

BOOOOOM!!!!!!!

All around them, a massive, endless war raged.

Creatures of every kind—some resembling twisted beasts with too many limbs, others looking almost human, and many strange hybrids—clashed violently.

Distinct glowing symbols marked their heads: one side burned with bright blue light, the other with deep, angry red.

The two factions slammed into each other relentlessly, weapons of pure thought and emotion clashing in bursts of sparks and distorted screams.

However, for some reason the sounds were muffled and surreal, like hearing a loud argument through thick walls—roars, shouts, and the constant crash of conflict echoing across the dreamscape.

And this wasn’t limited to what they could see.

The battle stretched endlessly in every direction, far beyond even Luna’s perception and Akasha’s newly enhanced eyes.

Blue and red forces clashed across hills and misty plains as far as the eye could follow. It was total, chaotic discord—an eternal war of dreams and nightmares playing out across the entire Dream Land.

Before them, the air shimmered and condensed.

A beautiful young woman appeared, looking roughly the same age as Akasha.

She had long, flowing purple hair that seemed to drift as if underwater, soft features, and eyes that glowed with a gentle, shifting light.

She wore a simple white dress that moved with the strange currents of the dream realm.

She bowed deeply toward Akasha, then rose and looked at Luna with clear surprise and curiosity, her head tilting slightly.

Luna raised a brow, opening her mouth to speak.

But... before she could, the young woman smiled warmly and introduced herself.

[Master... I am Yume,] she said, her voice soft and melodic, carrying easily through the muffled chaos around them.

[The entity residing within your Star of Lucid Dreams, Master.] She then smiled wryly.

[And welcome home... to the Land of Dreams.]
