Chapter 1136: Chapter 1156: Heart Pounding Fiercely
"I’m sorry... I didn’t mean it that way. I really can’t agree to it... You have so much to offer, you can easily find a girl who would be glad to. And certainly, anyone would be more suitable than me."
As Qi Yue spoke, she noticed Tang Yan’s gaze becoming increasingly sharp, increasingly disappointed, and her voice grew weaker accordingly.
Finally, she simply lowered her head.
But at that moment, Tang Yan suddenly reached out and pinched her chin.
"Am I really that detestable? What exactly is wrong with me that you are desperate to escape, and now when I ask you to put on an act, you are being so reluctant?"
He was a bit angry, his expression turning rather unpleasant.
"No... it’s not like that." Qi Yue nervously bit her lower lip.
"I can promise you anything else... except this one thing..." she said firmly.
Tang Yan glared at her, suddenly let go of her, and turned away.
"If you’re this unwilling to help me, then forget it." After he said this, he walked towards the door.
Qi Yue couldn’t help but widen her eyes in panic.
He was angry...
After all these days, it was the first time she saw Tang Yan angry.
Qi Yue’s heart raced fiercely, and she suddenly felt very aggrieved.
She reached out her hand and placed it on her lower abdomen, perhaps she should tell him that she was already pregnant.
Then, he should understand that she wasn’t as clean and innocent as he imagined.
So how could she be suitable to be his fiancée?
Qi Yue clenched her fist, suppressing her chaotic heartbeat, and hurriedly chased after the figure.
Tang Yan walked all the way outside, and Qi Yue quickly followed him.
In the end, she followed him to the indoor swimming pool next to the villa.
Curiously, she raced into the pool area, only to see Tang Yan take off his shirt and leap into the pool.
He swam like a flying fish in the pool.
Qi Yue stood helplessly by the pool, looking at his figure and shouted, "Tang Yan, I have something to tell you, it’s not what you think!"
But Tang Yan seemed oblivious, continuing to swim.
After a while, suddenly he plunged into the water, and minutes passed...
Qi Yue widened her eyes, staring into the water, only to see a figure motionless beneath the surface, for quite some time, with no movement.
"Tang Yan?" Qi Yue called tentatively.
No response from the other side.
Qi Yue’s expression shifted.
She hurriedly shouted, "Tang Yan? What’s wrong? Are you alright! Tang Yan!"
"Help! Somebody! I can’t swim!" Qi Yue ran towards Tang Yan while calling out in panic.
At a loss for what to do.
"Tang Yan! Tang..."
Suddenly, "Splash—!" a sound of water. Tang Yan suddenly emerged from the water, looking at Qi Yue, "I was just practicing holding my breath, why are you yelling?"
Qi Yue’s eyes widened, tears welled up in her eyes.
She stood there completely stunned.
Tang Yan swam over to her, surfaced, grabbed the railing, and shook his hair.
Water splashed all over Qi Yue, who looked at Tang Yan’s half-amused expression.
Suddenly, she let out a "Wah!" and burst into tears.
Her crying startled Tang Yan greatly.
"Hey... Little Yue..." Qi Yue glared at him, covered her lips, and turned to leave.
Tang Yan’s expression changed, hurriedly climbed out of the water, and quickly chased after Qi Yue’s figure.
"Little Yueyue... I’m sorry... I didn’t mean to scare you! Little Yue... wait!" Almost reaching the door, Tang Yan grabbed Qi Yue’s wrist from behind.
