Chapter 1517: Chapter 215 - Lucielle’s Pride (3)

I woke up immediately after that.

For some reason, even after opening my eyes, I could still hear Lilith’s final words echoing inside my head.

Fuck Lucielle.

What exactly was that supposed to mean?

My first thought was that she meant I should go beat Lucielle up or something. Considering who we were talking about, that interpretation wasn’t entirely unreasonable.

Then I actually thought about it for more than three seconds.

Yeah. That probably wasn’t what she meant after all.

There was really only one possible interpretation available to me.

She meant that I should literally fuck Lucielle.

As in, have sex with her directly and intentionally.

Honestly, I hadn’t expected Lilith to say something like that. Out of all the advice she could have given me before disappearing from my dream, telling me to go have sex with one of the strongest beings in existence was not exactly high on my list of predictions.

What was even supposed to be the benefit of doing that?

That was the biggest problem I was currently dealing with.

I genuinely didn’t know what the answer actually was.

I hadn’t even gotten the chance to ask her.

The moment Lilith said those words, I woke up before she could explain anything else. She had somehow managed to deliver the most confusing advice imaginable and then immediately disappear before elaborating on it.

Which, now that I thought about it, was actually a very Lilith thing to do.

Still, if she had suggested it, then there had to be a reason.

Lilith wasn’t the type to say things without a purpose. At least, I hoped she wasn’t. If she was simply throwing out random suggestions, then I was in far more trouble than I originally thought.

And if having sex with Lucielle was somehow necessary for me to fight the Seven Deadly Sins without relying on my Dragon Form, then I really would have appreciated at least a brief explanation.

Even something simple and easy to understand.

A warning label with some useful details attached.

An instruction manual explaining the entire situation clearly.

A pamphlet containing literally any helpful information whatsoever.

Anything would have been better than absolute silence.

Instead, I was left trying to figure out why one of the most powerful entities in existence had essentially told me to seduce another one.

When I finally looked around, I realized that Elise was sleeping beside me.

Foriel wasn’t in the room.

She had probably rented another room for herself so she wouldn’t disturb us.

That honestly sounded like something she would do.

I sat up slowly and looked down at my hands.

I could defeat them if I truly wanted to.

If I really wanted to, I could rely on the power that Lilith had given me.

The problem was that I didn’t want to.

Every time I thought about using that power, something about it felt wrong. It was powerful, yes. Incredibly powerful.

But it didn’t feel like it was entirely mine.

Or maybe it actually was mine after all.

Honestly, I wasn’t even sure anymore.

Either way, I wanted to avoid using it if I possibly could.

"Leon?"

I looked to my side.

Elise had opened her eyes and was looking at me sleepily.

"Why are you still awake?" she asked quietly. "Can’t you sleep?"

"Well, I did go to sleep pretty early," I replied. "Besides, I don’t really have much use for sleep anymore."

That wasn’t even an exaggeration on my part.

I could stay awake for days without feeling tired.

The only reason I had slept at all was probably because of the fight with Lucielle.

Actually, now that I thought about it, fighting Lucielle for five straight days and then fighting Beelzebub afterward might have had something to do with it.

Apparently, even absurd monsters like me had limits.

Who would have guessed something like that anyway?

"You should sleep more," Elise said softly. "You need it."

I couldn’t help but smile a little at that.

I already knew exactly what she meant.

She wasn’t actually talking about sleep itself.

She was worried about what might happen to me.

More specifically, she was worried about what was coming.

The Seven Deadly Sins.

The battles that were inevitably approaching us.

The possibility that I might never come back alive.

The thing was, I didn’t think she needed to worry that much.

If I absolutely had to, I could still use my Dragon Form.

I just really didn’t want to use it.

That form solved problems in the same way that dropping a mountain on someone solved an argument.

It worked surprisingly well for obvious reasons.

But there tended to be consequences afterward.

"You don’t have to worry about me," I said. "I can handle them."

She looked at me for a few moments but didn’t say anything.

"There is something I need to prepare for, though," I continued. "Can you ask Lucielle to meet me?"

Elise blinked.

"Lucielle?"

"Yeah."

I hesitated for a brief moment before continuing.

"And if possible, tell her I want to meet her alone."

The expression on her face changed.

It wasn’t a dramatic change by any means.

Just enough for me to notice the difference.

For a brief moment, it looked like she wanted to ask why.

Honestly, if our positions were reversed, I probably would have asked too.

Instead, she simply looked at me quietly.

Then she slowly nodded in understanding.

"I’ll do that," she said.

Before I could respond, she leaned forward and kissed me.

It wasn’t a particularly long kiss either.

Just enough to remind me why I wanted to survive all of this in the first place.

***

I stood in the ruins where Lucielle and I had fought.

It was honestly strange being back here again.

A lot of things had happened during that battle.

A lot of things had also been destroyed.

Mostly the surrounding area around us.

And our collective sense of moderation and restraint.

I spotted Lucielle standing nearby.

She looked as though she had been waiting for me.

"Have you been here long?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"I just arrived."

For some reason, the way she said it made this feel less like a secret meeting between two incredibly powerful beings and more like the start of a very awkward date.

Which, considering what I was about to say, somehow made the situation even worse.

Well, there really wasn’t much point delaying this.

There wasn’t really any point putting it off.

"So," she said, crossing her arms, "why did you want to meet me?"

I took a deep breath.

Then I took another deep breath afterward.

Because apparently I had suddenly forgotten how breathing worked.

"I want to have sex with you."

For several seconds, she didn’t react.

She simply stared at me without saying anything.

She blinked once.

Then she blinked a second time afterward.

Then several more times followed after that.

It looked like her brain had temporarily stopped functioning.

Honestly, mine wasn’t doing much better either.

Eventually, realization appeared on her face.

Then came disbelief shortly after that realization.

Then outrage followed almost immediately afterward.

Then a level of confusion that I honestly couldn’t blame her for.

"Have you gone insane?!" she shouted.

The force behind her voice was honestly impressive.

"I thought you wanted my help! I thought you wanted me to hide you or help you escape or something! That’s why I agreed to meet you! And instead, you came here to ask me that?!"

She looked genuinely offended.

Actually, offended wasn’t quite the right description.

She looked like she was trying to decide whether to hit me, kill me, or assume that I had suffered severe brain damage.

Which, in fairness, was probably a reasonable reaction.

"I’m going to win," I told her.

She immediately stopped reacting after hearing that.

"I’ll defeat the Seven Deadly Sins."

She stared at me.

She really stared at me for several moments.

And when she realized that I wasn’t joking, her expression slowly changed.

The anger remained visible on her face.

The confusion also remained present within her expression.

But now there was something else entirely.

A sense of seriousness had replaced her disbelief.

"How?" she asked quietly. "How can you do that?"

I looked directly at her.

"I just can."

She didn’t look convinced.

Honestly, I couldn’t really blame her for that either.

"And if you have sex with me," I said, "I’ll prove it."
