Chapter 95: Chapter 94: Blood rain 1

Nozick stared at Rein. He had to be calm and compose, the people he wants to make his companion are right here, he had to show them that he is capable to lead them, that was why he was working so hard to tell Rein that the only requirement for the Ironsmith to join the temporary alliance is for Rein to fight him.

’It would really work’

Nozick continued to tap the table with his index finger as thoughts flowed in and out, the core members stood around him while Rein and his escorts stood opposite him.

Rein remembered how Hlofgar had praised Nozick and it made him shrink a little bit, he wasn’t expecting much from the big parties, his’s goal is to have at least twenty thousand soldiers to attack the Fangdorrs before the arrival of the red orcs, it’s been two days since he started the plan and he has been able to reach out to three parties, leaving out the two alliance that already exist before the 2nd test began.

he saw the notification pop,

𝑇𝑖𝑛𝑔

[𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥]

[𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐲𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥]

’He just wakes and sleeps as he likes... he’s not even paying rent... at least he protects me when I least expect it... let’s let him be’

Russ sighed and cleared his throat piercing through the silence with his sharp baritone voice.

"I do get your claims, but what is your source of information, how do we know these are not schemes pulled by the fangdorrs on you or better still how do we know you are not trying to play smart with us"

’How annoying’ Rein moved a little bit forward, two men reflexively raised their weapons indicating to him not to move closer. Even though they were wearing uniforms that showed they were lieutenant, the vibe they gave off and their braided hairstyles made Rein conclude they were northerners. ’Damn Northerners’

my exact source of information I can’t reveal that to you, it’s a piece of classified information that can come back to harm me since this is only a temporary alliance, but you also saw for yourself; the green orcs. Also, I already have 2500APs, I could decide to go back since I have enough points to survive the school till I graduate. But here I am doing this not because I enjoy it but because this is more than a test, if this war gets out of our hands, nearby helpless villages, towns, even the cities could be endangered, there’s no telling the extent those guys would go to get the freedom they want from the union."

Russ stepped forward but not too close. "You sure look like you have a lot of information on your hand."

"I do have a good Intel source"

"Then let’s do it like this... a trade ...we would do this for you but in return, a day will come we would ask for your help, you should answer to our call without complaints"

Rein frowned a bit, ’He’s sly’

"As far as your request is within my power, does not endanger the life of my comrades and does not involve me forfeiting my victory"

Russ smiled, ’He’s smart’

Nozick watched Russ as he smartly took care of the situation, he was grateful he had him to rely on.

’Wow, Russ is really amazing. More than that, My Rival... how is he able to keep his composure like that... he is saying things I didn’t expect, is he saying that he’s endangering his life right now because of the lives of the people, the people he doesn’t even know. hmm how noble, the more I know him the more I want him.’

"Well, it is still up to the party leader to decide, I’m merely a servant delivering his thoughts"

The way Russ acted was very smart and enticing. He respected Nozick as a leader but made up for where he lacks in regards to getting things done using intelligence and still did it in such a way that did not make Nozick insecure; that was a loyalty unmatched.

Nozick stood up gently and walked to Rein’s front, placed his huge hands on Rein’s shoulder.

"I understand your point but I must ask you a question?"

Rein looked slightly up as Nozick was taller and huge which made his height obvious.

Nozick continued, "Why?... Why do you wanna protect those helpless villagers, they don’t even know you, they are not even Easterners, then why?"

"they don’t have to be easterners... they’re humans."

’That’s all... saying too much is a hassle’

Nozick blushed heavily and sighed. Then he shouted "MY RIVAL!!! I’m with you on this one"

’....not bad perhaps I can take a closer look at the girl’ Eztli smiled senilely.

"Ah ...thank you"

There was so much joy in Rein’s heart, he never expected that Nozick was going to accept, the fact that he did assure him, even if Neza refused this could still be possible. Now he was going to go prepare for a big fight, having the Ironsmith was a very great addition.

"So when are we moving..."

"Huh....tomorrow?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"Tomorrow is good"

’Such energy’ Rein smiled.

After Rein left, Nozick faced Russ since he was still feeling too unsettled and it was very obvious.

"Is it that you don’t like him."

"No... not at all"

"Then why the worried face, Russ"

"did it never occur to you... that how did he find us"

"...." Nozick’s eye lit up.

’That is true... our camping base was supposed to be a secret... yet he walked in here like finding it wasn’t an issue, not just us, every other party... perhaps they didn’t think of his because he posed no threat’

"He might be a formidable person than we think, young master"

Nozick wore a long face this time around, the type of face Russ always loved.

Nozick now felt an urgent need to put Rein in his place as a northern prince, for the sake of his future.

Russ left Nozick’s presence to meet Aravir.

"We would be getting into action tomorrow... whatever chance you get ... kill him"

"That won’t be possible..."

"Eh...? Why?"

This was the first time Russ heard her say that she was a very skilled killer and she proved she could kill almost everyone to hear her say blatantly that she can’t kill Reinard was sought of shocking for Russ.

"He’s strong... more importantly, there’s something in him"

"What do you mean he’s strong.... is he as strong as our young master"

"Perhaps not... but there’s an entity inside of him... I tried peeping into it and all I can see is darkness"

"what exactly is this entity...?"

"I don’t know but that thing must not be let into our world... trust me I’ve seen monsters unleash themselves on the battlefield but I have never seen anything like that... calling it a monster is an understatement"

"Okay... fine I understand you but throughout, I want you to keep an eye on him for me, is that possible"

"Yes of course... and another thing"

"What is it?"

"The red-haired guy that was behind him..."

"Oh, that one...I think that is Eztli’s half brother, what about him?"

"He’s an assassin... with larger prospects than me"

"I can’t help but think sometimes, with how easily you accept that people are better than you... don’t you get angry?"

"It’s a fact... being a dark assassin is the greatest assassin type there is... that is why Polivanof was the greatest assassin."

"... then why don’t you become a dark assassin?"

"You don’t become a dark assassin, it becomes you...one can only be chosen by true darkness, but I wonder... why him?"

Russ shook his head...

"I have a lot of work on my hand Aravir let’s end this here, I know you will still learn many things on this long journey"

He left her as she continued to murmur to herself, "why him?"

Rein got back to his camp very happy, ’all went well, very much well than I expected’ Seth watched him as he rejoiced, he belatedly realized and composed himself.

"When I first saw you on that ship, you were cocky and I knew your type, the type to die early that’s what I thought. I’m not saying I like you or something, but since you managed to be accepted by lady Natasha you might just live a little bit longer."

Rein looked at him... a blank stare which soon turned to a murderous glare, Seth felt his hand fall off without Rein moving, it was a killing intent above killing intent he has witnessed, a tremendous mental attack, Rein smiled and took away his eyes, he fell to his knees and gasped for air.

Rein walked to his table and rested on the wooden table, "Perhaps you didn’t really know... don’t underestimate me boy"

"You.... *gasp*...how did... you...." He passed out before Rein.

"eh..." Rein was shocked. "Did I go overboard?"

"I think that was okay" Sigrid entered.

"I just didn’t like how he was..."

"You are finally beginning to see yourself as a leader of some sort, took you long enough"

"Come on, be a little supportive of me"

"After using me?"

"Sorry" Rein relapsed his facial expression.

"Well it was for the good of the party"

There was a few seconds silence between the two,

’damn it is so awkward...’

"...uhh so why are you here?..."

"ah... I forgot... Jon got attacked."

"..."

Rein looked a bit lost before shouting. "What!!! How could you be so casual about that"

"Well he said he had it under control so... there was no reason for me to fidget or something, it’s Jon afterall"

"But who kidnapped him?"

"He did not say, all he said is; we might have to move out earlier than planned"

"...well since Jon is not around you’ll be in charge of rallying the soldiers temporarily, we are to move in less than two hours and also send a messenger hawk to the alliance "

"Yes... boss"

"let’s rain do some blood on earth"
