Chapter 300: Religion Disputes
"This is different from what I imagined it to be"
"What exactly did you imagine hell to be? A volcano with lands blazing with hot steam?" Vishva said.
"Of some sort...we don’t have time" Kuthuya said as they walked on the dry stony plane under the red sky.
Someone suddenly appeared in front of them.
"I would have to apprehend you right here" the man suddenly said
"Shit, to be caught right as we entered" Vishva said under her lips.
"You guys go forward, I just started feel my lord’s energy faintly, I’m sure he is ahead there" he said.
"It’s useless Kuthuya, don’t try to play hero...just let’s give in, he can’t hold us for long anyways since I can easily pull us out anytime."
"What do you mean? I won’t leave here without Lord Reinard"
"What I’m saying do you expect a soul to physically affect a real demon, a demon this strong" Vishva said.
’She’s right, I’ve forgotten our souls are here...if so’ Kuthuya bowed in front of the Barbartos, Baal’s assistant and Marshall.
"Please sir Demon, I’ve come to find my master and I can feel his presence over there, I have not come to cause any troubles."
"I’ve been instructed by my master to bring you into custody" he replied.
"Just let’s follow him, if Reinard is ahead of us then there is a possibility that he is where we are going" Sigrid said.
"And if not?" Kuthuya asked her with his eyes fixed on Barbatos.
"Then Vishva can easily pull us out and we’ll try again" she responded to Kuthuya. Vishva was intrigued and cracked by her response.
They followed Barbatos.
...
"Benefactor!" Rache yelled and jumped on Rein as he opened his eyes.
[You are in hell]
[You will loose one health point every minute]
[Passive Skill; High Regenerative speed is being activated every minute]
Rein sat up and looked around him.
"Samael, Sacha..." turned his eyes to Baal, "...what I’d this hideous thing"
Samael’s mouth fell, ’Oh no...’
Rein’s eye suddenly opened up completely.
"Belet! Where’s Belet", he shouted getting off his bed.
"Master, who is Belet?" Samael asked.
"That demon, the demon out there is Belet...my demonic beast!" Rein said hurriedly.
’Hmm, looks like his words were correct’ Baal said in his mind.
"That thing is a demon that sought to kill us and you seek it...oh I see it must have been you that brought the demon huh?!!" Miriel said, yelling at Rein.
"You don’t understand that is Belet"
"Young man, that is Demon lord Bayemon, a very dangerous archfiend. He ran away from here over three hundred thousand years ago and is somehow related what the humans know as the thousand year war. He has a motive but sadly we know nothing about it."
"Yes that doesn’t change the fact that he is my Belet" Rein said standing up.
"Did you see what he did to you? Have you seen what he did to your dragons?" Miriel said.
Rein was shocked.
"Samael ?"
"Azes and Theo are in really bad condition" Samael said.
"Where are they?" Rein said
Samael took Rein to the room Azes and Theo was, the others followed and Baal watched them.
"How amusing, he doesn’t care if he’s a demon...that’s the first time I’ve heard anyone say that"
Barbatos appeared, "Lord Baal, I have brought the intruders, they seem to be looking for someone amidst the visotors"
"Hmm...I’m so disturbed, handle it Barbatos I have a lot to do" he said and disappeared.
Rein was puzzled and conflicted as he saw the damage that Azes and Theo had sustained.
"Their healing process seems to have gotten better, probably because the corruption got removed from you" Samael said.
"I never thought there would be anything that can hurt dragons"
"Master, you have been quite oblivious to the existence of demons. Dragons are just one the many strong existence" he said.
Rein sat down on the bed and rubbed his face.
"How long has it been, how did we end up in hell?" Reinard asked
"It’s a long story, but it has probably been two days since when we were at the labyrinth" Samael responded.
Rein’s eyes widened, "the induction!"
Meanwhile.
"Things are getting bad, the envoys of Fierand temple, the Olinus even the Holy Siberia who are based in the Central artic are here. It is important that the Emperor be around, because what these guys seek is to water down the influence Ariel will have." Jon said rubbing his head.
"...For now don’t we need to be at the ordinance room... the priest of other temples might be up to something" Arnette said.
"Yea" both of them left.
On reaching the large ordinance room where the Emperor’s seat sat, the column behind the thrown led to the Sanctum which could also be called holy of holies where the goddess had been inducted into.
"The presence of an Emperor is crucial to the establishment of a kingdom if it is within the territory. If the Emperor is not around it just tells his stand on religion. And let’s not forget this Aries is a religion that the the council of temples have not come to terms with." A tall grey haired(almost bald) man that looked like he was in his late sixties said.
"Shouldn’t you start with an introduction?" A voice rang out from the columns. Cladded in white robe he slowly descended the stair of the floor the Emperor’s throne sat and stood in front.
"Who would you be?" The man said fron where he stood.
"You are in the presence of a goddess not a pope...do not compare the goddess I serve to flimsy, selfish humans you all serve"
~WHAM~
~KANGH!!~
Hassan appeared in front of Coghlan as a female paladin plunged forth, he blocked off the lady’s large sword and immediately –
~THWAUCK!!~
~ZAAPPK~
~BOOOM~
~CRASHK~
She was blasted off as Jae-hyun appeared underneath her and touched her belly slightly, a large amount of electricity was displaced and she was thrown away, crashing out of the ordinance room.
The other paladins that escorted the priest were about to pull their swords but all of them suddenly began to fall on their knees. Even the priest could not resist it.
"Such power and Dignity..." Faraday, an high priest of the Olinus Church said slowly as he was forced to the ground.
They all could not deny the power that filled the atmosphere.
’...is this the power of a god...’ their minds could not wrap itself around it. Then it was suddenly lifted.
"Start with an introduction" Coghlan said again.
"I am Opiter Turius, an high priest of the Fierend temple, we worship angels and I’m here with..."
"Sieus Afer" the young man said, his earrings dangled as he bowed his head.
"Albelin, an high priest of the Holy Siberia"
~step~
~step~
~step~
"I am Rebecca, leader of the Holy Siberian Knights" she said as she walked closer.
’Oh oh, she looks perfectly fine, does she have a healing skill’ Coghlan thought.
"I’m Faraday, a Bishop of the Olinus temple and I’m here with..."
"Jayden Spencer, third in command of the temple’s knight"
"I am Coghlan, First Apostle of the goddess Ariel" the old man said holding his rod in front of him.
"Hassan, second Apostle of the goddess"
"Jae-hyun, I’m the third Apostle of the goddess"
Silence filled the atmosphere.
"They seem to be taking care of this well..." Arnette whispered to Jon.
"But the fact that Rein is not here will always give the and edge to say more" Jon whispered back
"So where is the Emperor, or better still the goddess should show herself."
’This is getting troublesome, if goddess Ariel shows herself, they will put her on the same level has them, she has to stay away from the public so she can remain sacred in their mind, that way the Aries religion is creating a different path for itself, just like our goddess wants’ Coghlan said in his mind as he watched calmly.
"Shall we just take it as the Emperor disregards the religion itself or are the rumours about the Moon Emperor false, the rumours say he is a strong and hardworking Emperor... but what I see might be the opposite." Opiter, the high priest of Fierend temple said.
That moment.
~WHISH~
A suddenly bright light descended behind Coghlan, and dispersed a gush of wind that swept through the atmosphere, briefly blowing the robe of the high priests.
[You are in the presence of a divine existence]
[Passive skill: Status Immunity has been deactivated]
[You are prone to all types of status attack from this existence]
[Chillness has filled your blood]
Coghlan could not help but shiver, not because of the windows messages that appeared but his body could tell, that any wrong move and he would be dead before he knew it. The knights fell on their knees, the ones that resisted hard were crushed into the ground. Even Rebecca could not resist but all through she could not help but feel like Reinard’s face looked familiar.
Jon and Arnette were filled with joy with Rein’s sudden entry.
"Yes!! Yes!!" Jon exclaimed like he won a lottery.
