Chapter 296: Hell
Samael put Rein, Theo and Azes on a cart.
"It’s a good thing they reverted to their human form, I don’t know how this would have been" he said.
Socho ran her hand through Azes scarred body.
"They seem to be healing"
"Yes but it’s very slow...I can’t help but think it might have to do with effect of his attack" Samael responded.
"How will you do it though?" Miriel said.
"Do what?" Samael turned to her.
"You are a fallen, you are not a real demon so how will you open the gate of hell"
Samael smiled, "I don’t remember mentioning to you that I’m a fallen"
"Well, I have Retrocognition on my left eyes, so I can see glimpse, put together with your story about Bayemon which I heard not because I was eavesdropping but I just happened to be awake at that moment...and you guys seem to click together" she said, giving Socho a wink.
"I have demonic energy...though it’ll probably cost almost all I have to open a demonic gate, I’m not sure if we’ll be able to return but I can atleast guarantee that we will find a cure for Master and these two will wake up. So are we ready?" He said looking at all of them.
Socho’s sisters who were still wounded and bandaged but could work, Miriel and Rache. They nodded and then he faced his front.
He inhaled deeply.
~STOMP~
He slapped his hands on the floor.
Blackish-purple miasma began to come out from him ans fill the woods they were in.
~WOONG~
~THUDD~
A large gate rose from the ground, the gate had a metal ugly head with fangs as its door and opened as soon as it came out, Tama and Rama held the cart and pulled it as they all entered into the gate.
~KRRR~
As they came out of the gate, a chilly feel overwhelmed their body.
"Hell is full of resentment and negative energy called miasma... it will take a while but I’m sure you guys will get used to it since you aren’t human" Samael said.
"We are fine but Miriel seems to be in a really bad condition." Kama said pointing to Miriel who dropped on her knees and began to vomit blood.
’Ah, shit, she was so impressive and strong I totally forgot she’s human’
~WHISH~
All of them flinched as someone suddenly appeared from no where. Black dust which were smoke of miasma slowly cleared and revealed a dark and thick skinned man in red suit and green inner shirt, his skin shone like polished obsidian and his eyes glittered with malevolent green light. He had yellowed fangs, pointed ears, and six slender fingers decorating each hand. He had six small black horns half-hidden amid his orange coloured hair.
"Lord Samael, its good to have you back" he said with a fine man’s voice, different from what he’s appearance would depict his voice to be.
"Graz, what are...how are...wait that’s not important, I have a human with me, I need your help" he said with haste.
"Right away Lord Samael" the demon said and immediately went over to Miriel, knelt in front of her and took her hand.
"This will hurt a little" he said and trusted his long black claws into her hand. She groaned a little but that was it.
After a while she began to regain her strength, Sacha, her sisters and Rache looked in awe.
"Only the corrupted ones can survive in hell, and I’m corrupted but cannot corrupt a person. So meet Graz, a demon and my subordinate, he may look like this but he’s an archfiend"
"Oh my" Socho covered her mouth with her hand, "...so he’s a ...?"
"No no...all top five demon lords are archfiends, but not all archfiends are demon lord."
"Ahh, I see" she said as she nodded to Samael’s explanation.
"How did you know I would be here?" Samael asked.
"After you left the office, we were exiled to the first floors. Some moment ago I felt your miasma, so I came running"
"Hmph, so who took my place in the administrative office."
"Onoskelis, it seems Zariel was in on it too" he responded.
"That coward" Samael said and scoffed. "Do we atleast have a place to stay"
"Actually about that...do you know the demon king that went missing from hell, he had a mansion here, it was the only option we have, and it was Mephistopheles that leased it to us"
"Ahh, for how much?"
"Three hundred thousand miasmic stones every third red moon"
"What?! That much, that bastard, he doesn’t know that coming down to lower realms to scam people. Like master like servant...but I guess luck is on my side. Lead the way" he said.
"Yes master"
They all began to walk while the Socho sisters with Miriel intermittently helping pulled the cart.
After a long walk through the burnt woods, they arrived at a rusted gate that opened itself. As they walked into the castle black skeletons rose from the ground and bowed.
Socho ran up to Samael.
"Who are they?"
"Oh, I have the power of the undead, though it might not be as strong that of an archfiend." He responded.
"I see" she said and slowed down, giving Samael and Graz his subordinate to continue their discussion.
"...you were saying just now?"
"Yes, Baalzebul started investigating the happening of over three thousand years ago, you know the one that caused a large fight between the demons and humans."
"Why would Baal be concerned with such an insignificant thing?"
"Because recently about three years ago in the humans time, Ball felt Demon lord Baram’s energy and then it disappeared shortly afterwards."
"...well do I have to be worried about anything. Why are you telling me this?"
"Because the demon lord ranking war is coming, this might he an opportunity for you to be a demon lord" Graz said.
Samael scoffed, "I’m not interested in that, I’ve said it over and over again..."
Graz tightened his fist, "Even though Demon lord Asmodeus was a fallen like you, he accepted his state and evolved to an archdevil. But why won’t you accept to be part of the demon race and stop being the degraded version of an angel" Graz angrily said, "...we could rise in status and we would even stop getting exiled around, why are you hiding so much strength that you have?!!" He yelled at samael. The rest stopped behind.
"Looks like he has his own matters too" Miriel whispered
"Stop it" Socho whispered back.
Samael placed his hands on Graz, "You would understand when the time comes"
’Asmodeus became a reptile that was over 200m long after he became an archdevil, though he gained immense power in return but he’s freedom and fineness was taken from him, there’s no way I’m going to give up on my handsome look’ he said in his head as he patted Graz and walked past.
Graz looked at the cart that they wheeled past him. His eyes suddenly widened as he saw Rein’s skin. He rushed over to the cart and opened the large leave that was used to cover Rein.
"Corruption?...this–
~Slash~
Rache in Miriel’s hand swung upwards slicing his cheek and making his blood spill around.
Graz glared at Miriel, silence dominated both of them stared some few seconds, while Samael observed.
"You should be lucky you are Lord Samael’s visitor." He said and ran over to Samael.
"That over there, ie corruption, that human is corrupted and that level of corruption, I’m very sure it’s a demon lord!"
"Bayemon to be exact"
"Oh-oh" a sudden voice said.
Samael flinched.
’That voice?! Baal?’
A black void appeared opened up in front Samael and a black humanoid with a dog face came out of it.
’...it’s just an aspect of him’
"Don’t you dare be relieved Samael" the dog face said.
"This is quite the welcome Baal"
"I’ll go straight to the point, tell me all you know about Bayemon and I’ll help you heal your friend"
’Baal can easily heal Master, for him it’s nothing but for me who will be spilling crucial information, Asmodeus can kill me, it’s too much of a price so I have to increase the wager.’
"Oh...just that?"
"I will also keep the fact that you dare to bring a deity into hell" the dog face grinned.
’Bastard, I’ve been had’
Samael’s expression relaxed.
"Okay then" he said.
"Then follow me to be abode" he said, the void opened up and they all entered including Graz.
....
Ariel looked into the mirror as she was being dressed in white heavy gown that had an insignia of a dragon wrapping a cross. Her red hair which used to be normal curly was combed and straightened, folded and packed with an hairpin. The maids slowly helped her out of the room and into the carriage that sat in the front yard of the Palatium, the carriage was strapped to two white coloured and huge, lionwolves, a rare breed of mount beast that was tameable but was not used as a mythical beast because it had no beast will but its ferocious and strong willed nature made it the most expensive and highest rated mount. In the front of the mount beasts was Coghlan on a white coloured wild horse. Another beast, a wild horse was bigger and fiercer than normal horses and they were considered beast, the different between them and normal horses was their height, their fluffy mane hair which grew back immediately it is trimmed, their strong hoof that could crush woods, and their muscled body, they were only two breeds which were the white and the black coloured. And they were very strong and loyal to their rider, especially if they have a single rider.
Coghlan was dressed in armour of white, they weren’t exactly the plate mail armour but an enchanted cloth, the armour was only on the shoulder guard, elbow and knee, then a their boots was metal armour. He wore a white suit with yellow inscription of the same insignia that was on Ariel’s gown.
Behind his right side was Hassan, behind his left said was Jae-hyun and behind the carriage was the remaining three. Patricia was escorted by the Paladins into the same carriage Ariel entered. After a while the knights came marching in their official imperial uniform, which was a white suit and a metal badge with the insignia of the empire and a black trousers with a white boot, then a white cap. Some marched to the front of the carriage while carrying a flag with the Empire’s insignia and Ariel’s insignia on it, while some March to the back.
And they began to march out of the palatium gate into the city.
Ariel silently prayed,
’Please let Rein be okay and be able to attend the ceremony, I don’t care about any complications but I don’t want my suspicions to be right’
