Chapter 281: Into The Wild
"Why do you want to kill the gods so badly...?"
Reinard sighed, "I’ve not told anyone this... things need to be restored to the way they were, the flipping of my world caused a lot of dimensional effects which the gods are lazy to handle, the gods want to descend upon Abeir Toril, we don’t know the reason but I think this world has something they need. And I’m pissed at them for making me suffer in the past. See it like this, a sculpture that gained the ability to live but instead betrayed its sculptor...?"
"Oh, that’s a bad one"
"Let’s just say I am the only one that can bring justice to them and return things to the way they were..."
"Returning things to.the way they were would be?"
"Bringing back the deities and Estelers who are sculptors of the gods"
"Is that even possible..."
"I don’t know ...I don’t know a lot of things, I don’t even know if I can win against the gods, I don’t know how strong they are since I’ve never fought with one before...thinking about it sometimes can be terrifying but the world has managed to put me in a position that I have to bear a lot of responsibilities, against my will, being an Emperor, being a pillar that should stand with all dragon kinds....I’ve not been able to refuse, I believe there is a flow and the flow is leading me to something or someone I have lost"
Braschiold looked at Reinard with much more respect in his gaze.
"I don’t know about any other person, but I will follow you and help you till the end"
Reinard stood up and touched Braschiold’s shoulder, "Thank you, then I hope it won’t be selfish of me, if I ask you to become a player and get stronger"
"Of course, I was going to do it eitherways" He responded.
Samael walled into the garden,
"My Lord, it is time"
Braschiold wondered who the new face was.
"Okay, Braschiold we will see again some other time" Reinard said and walked away with Sameal.
As they walked out of the garden,
"Report?"
"As you’ve asked me to, I made some investigation—"
"Spare me the details..."
"I think there is a foreigner involved, there was no way the dwarves alone could’ve have captured the red dragon"
"So you think, there was someone else on it and that person is not from Abeir Toril"
"Exactly"
Reinard stopped and faced Samael who was walking behind him.
"Perhaps this person is also the same person that gave the gods the second amphalat?" He said.
"If such a person has the power of the amphalat creating a magic that opposes dragon tongue would be as easy as clicking the tongue, he wouldn’t need to go through such drastic measures"
"So you are saying the chances are slim...?"
"I’m saying, let’s consider closer factors"
Rein smiled upon Samael’s response. "You’ve been a huge help to me, I thought I was eventually going to be the one to help you escape the abyss but to think you took care of it yourself."
"I just got lucky, if Onoskelis hadn’t open that gate..."
"Well, it’s a good thing you managed to escape, I don’t have to worry about a lot of things because of you, but what about your floor."
"It’ll naturally be overtaken by my strongest undead...but as Master already suspected, I lost the exclusive ability of an administrator when I came here"
"Yea...and I was also shocked to find out you are a fallen"
Samael smiled and bowed slightly towards Rein.
They continued to walk down that path.
...
The announcement made by Ariel, spinned off alot of things, the rate of players that turned to her rose drastically. And hunting grounds were filled, dungeons were filled as players poured themselves to hunting, so they could level up and get stronger, while the day slowly approaches them.
.....
Rein gets ready to go on his long journey after doing a number of work.
"I’ll miss you" Yhuzia said.
"Of course you will plus I shouldn’t be gone gone a long time. I trust you to take care of everything on my behalf." Rein said smiling at Yhuzia.
"As I have always have and will always will" Yhuzai responded, and bowed his head.
Amelia came out in a different dressing than her usual but black and comfy, with Marley and Harley behind her.
"When will you be back?" Marley asked.
"I’ll be back soon..." Amelia said smiling at both of them and hugging them.
’After the father’s death all they have left is Amelia, but Amelia must follow me, for her sake too’ Rein said in his head and patted to two sisters on their head.
"We’ll be back before you know it" he said.
Both of them blushed hard, and faced towards the ground to hide it, they hugged Rein suddenly. It caught him off-guard but it pleased him since he had been a little concerned about how they thought of him.
Rein left the Empire with not much people knowing of his departure, while Ariel watched from afar and really wished she could go with him.
Rein sneaked out of the city easily, on his Feral makaa, a mount thay had served him for quite a number of years. Along side Azes, Amelia, Samael and Theo.
"Who would have thought that this was where the great Asmophel" Samael said to Amelia as they rode on large tiger after reaching outside the empire.
"You seem to know me from who I was... I know very little of myself from before the time I was saved by the gold dragon" She responded.
"I see...makes sense since all of a sudden you just vanished from the abyss, alot of us thought you had been allowed access into hell, at first I thought how the hell wl those motherfuckas allow you access so easily...then with no trace of you we had to just decide that something bad really happened"
"...I have no idea what you speak but okay..." she replied.
"It’s fine, I’m sure before this journey ends you will regained your memory and I will finally know what happened in the abyss that day" he said.
Amelia turned her eyes away as she found it weird, she sped her mount to the front to meet Reinard.
"Your grace –"
"It’s fine Amelia, you can just address me as Reinard outside the Imperieum"
"Never, My lord will do"
"Soothe yourself"
"That man is being so weird..."
"He told me you are a fallen like he is and your name is Asmophel"
"Hmmm...."
Rein looked at her, not being able to tell if she actually didn’t know or was pretending not to know.
"For now we would be going to Eldin’s Labyrinth" Rein said
"A labyrinth?" Amelia was surprised.
"You’ve never been to one?" Rein asked.
"I didn’t do alot of travelling with the gold dragon"
"It’s fine, I’ve never been to a labyrinth too" Reinard said and they ran off on their mounts as Azes and Theo flew above them.
.....
With the angels shameful expulsion from Abeir Toril, the celestial realm was found in perils of dispute and division, as the angels got to know that Arch Angel Micheal and Zaphkiel were helping the gods which of course should not be as the gods had been a set of existence the angels considered impure and unholy working with them was abandoning the doctrines that the supreme one has left them with. Disputes arose amidst the angels which was affecting Micheal and Zaphkiel’s place in the Celestial council.
Micheal stood in a Plane white hall and stared at the sea blue sky from the large window. Zaphkiel approached him.
"I’m so sorry for causing you so much trouble" he said bowing his head.
"You’ve not particularly told me, how this person was able to particularly expel you so much that you are restricted from going to the material plane of earth" Micheal said, turning around to face him.
Zaphkiel went on his knees immediately Micheal turned.
"He was different from others, he felt more than human but he still felt human at the same time, but he had tremendous authority with him, too much for a human to handle. And another thing I cannot forget is..." He looked up at Micheal’s face.
"What is it?" Micheal asked.
"He had Bahamut’s Palace with him"
Micheal’s eye widened, he definitely wasn’t expecting what Zaphkiel told him and was shocked by the news of it.
"What do you mean? Are you sure of it?"
"I’m very sure, I’m sure he had that much authority because the Palace was with him"
Micheal’s hand shivered a bit with his eyes still widened, "That should be impossible, that Palace is Bahamut’s and only Bahamut’s, how was a mere mortal able to get it"
"I have no idea, but I am sure of what I saw"
"I see..." He composed himself again. "Thank you very much Zaphkiel, your information was a big help"
"Anytime" he stood up and walked away.
"You’ve heard everything, already...shouldn’t you come out and say your opinion" Micheal said facing towards the view of the sky"
A blonde haired guy appeared from the air.
"...It seems you have heard quite a lot, Uriel" Micheal said with a subtle smile.
