Chapter 230: Lost Glory
"Hey!! Kain!!! Are you crazy, have you forgotten the rule to never use your powers?!!" Ceredic shouted.
Kain stood there, staring into the cloud of mist that followed as the explosion cooled down.
His expression became irritated as he the mist cleared.
"To think you would make your girlfriend fight for you..." Kain said.
"Stand aside Katherine, this is personal" Reinard said and Katherine immediately stepped sideways.
’Who is that? To think she blocked Kain attack without a single scratch’ Ceredic wandered.
Reinard brought out the white dragon sword,
"Even though I now think, it is unbefitting of my status to fight you, but a debt is a debt... it rather impresses me how you were able to recognise me"
"Your soul bastard!! Do you think I’ve been sitting around doing nothing all this years! I can smell your soul!!!" As Kaim completed he equipped his hands a long blue spear and dashed at Reinard.
"Slow" Reinard said as he hit Kain stomach with the edge of his unsheathed sword before he could reach half the meters Rein was standing, Kain was thrown away and crashed into the wooden walls of Ceredic’s shop.
"Water Dragon!!"
A wrym type dragon made of water rose from where Kain crashed and rushed at Reinard from the air.
Reinard smiled,
’The formulas of his magic type skill is different from other magic formulas... a bit different though, is he a magic fighter...or inherited’ Rein wandered as he couldn’t not help but see the formula composition of Kain’s skill as it came rushing at him.
’I could disrupt the formula and just make the skill fall apart before reaching me, but I feel a bit unfair to the debt I have to pay...so’

The floor scattered abroad as Reinard dashed at Kain who grinned immediately he saw Rein coming.
The water dragon changed its course and dashed again at Rein. He was taken by surprise.
’I missed it? Was it because I didn’t spend much time looking at the formulas... or...’ Rein smiled, ’He has grown strong to think he would inherit ancient magic’ Rein said as he stopped.
"Giving up to quick" Kain said with a laughter.
Lorak squinted his eyes, "Don’t tell me...he’s about to-"

Like as if a huge rock fell on the building, the whole building roof crushed as Rein released his white aura, his eyes glowed and the water dragon dissipated and turned to water.
He stared at Kain who’s face was already distorted by fear.
’He’s gaze, it feels like... he’s piercing my heart...’
Rein immediately smiled and the atmosphere disappeared as though it was never there. Rein stretched forth his hand to help Kain up.
Lorak clicked his tongues as he had fell on one knee,
’What is in the outside world...is hiding here really a good decision’ Lorak wondered for the first time.
Rein pulled Kain up,
"I’d like us to put all disputes among us and start all over" Rein said, stretching forth a handshake.
Kain slapped his hand away,
"You and I? Can never be friends...I’ll come back for you...don’t think you fought me today, I barely even used any skill" Kain said and walked out.
Ceredic looked up,
"Oh God...wait- Kain!! You better come pay for the broken roof!!" He yelled.
"He’ll pay you...since he’s stinking rich" Kain said as he stepped out.
Ceredic looked at Rein and gulped.
"I’ll settle it" Rein said.
"Oi oii, what is happening here?! You guys are disturbing working villagers" a thick voice rang in.
"Ah not him" Ceredic said while slapping his forehead
"Then, I’ll step out and await you" Rein said and walked out with Azes and Katherine, passing beside Keiji who stopped for a second and thought,
’He’s strong’ but afterwards continued inside.
Rein left to the Inn he and Grim lodged into.
"How was it my lord?" Grim asked.
"I’m tired" Rein said and fell on his bed.
"Papa, I have a question" Azes said.
"Go ahead Azes"
"Since Grim is a crafter too, why don’t you give him the skills directly"
Rein turned towards the ceiling and stared at his hand as he raised it.
"It’s because of the flaw my skill; lord of creation has"
"Eh? Your skill has a flaw?" Azes said with surprise.
"Yes, since most of my skill are inherited, and not class specific..."
"I don’t understand" Azes said.
"So, you can’t used the skill with 100 percent efficacy because the skill is not your class skill" Grim said.
"Yes"
’I’m only able to use fifty percent thanks to the power of the amphalat, so when I create a body for Ariel, using the amphalat as her core, all the origin skill will go to her and then she will reset my system to level 1, giving me the chance to grow as a deity while still maintaining the rip off effect of all these skills on me’
"So why did you bring me?" Grim asked.
Rein sat up,
"You can gain Enlightenment" Rein said.
"Wait...I don’t understand"
"Grim, you are a crafter, basically but mainly a technical expert. All I want you to do is focus on the making" Rein said.
"What do you mean gain Enlightenment?" Grim asked not being able to get rid of his curiosity.
"Don’t be too hasty Grim, you’ll see when it happens" Rein smiled and laid back.
Katherine slowly, crawled beside him to lay.
"Move away from my space!!" Azes shouted and kicked her away from Rein’s bed.
Katherine felt embarrassed and jealous but she walked out anyways.
Rein smiled while pretending to be asleep.

"So what’s you are saying is; a deity is in our kingdom"
"Yes"
"And he’s with a dragon"
"Yes"
"And you want me to convince the king to let him cut from our tree"
"Yes"
"Lorak... are you really sure you are okay?"
"Do you think I’m not okay Melia?"
"Yes! Definitely, I mean number one, a deity... what are you? A folk-lord, I mean, I get that you have been cut away from the word for quite long but a stranger tells you he is a deity and you believe it?!" Melia said, yelling at him.
"He tore down our Kingdom defense" Lorak said.
She paused and there was brief silence,
"Don’t tell me... that earthquake yesterday..."
"Yes, the seal was bridged...it was completely disabled"
"What are you saying, I can feel the seal’s energy even more vibrant that before" Melia said.
"He created the seal back..."
Melia’s eyes widened
"Yes Melia, so do you believe me?" Lorak said.
She sighed, "But still, a dragon before the presence of the king... After his defeat during his last raid of the white dragon, he has been more enraged...it’d be suicidal to bring a dragon to the king" Melia said.
"I know, we just have to make sure he doesn’t meet the dragon, he and the stranger discuss and then we send them out of our city after they get what they want" Lorak said.
"But still do you think the king will grant this person asses to our tree, you know how sentimental we are to that tree" she said.
"Ah! I don’t know, there’s just this heavy weight on my chest and I want this guy out of this place as soon as possible" Lorak said.
"I understand how you feel, no one in this age has ever witnessed the powers of a deity, even tales about them are faint... but to think that one will suddenly appear, I heard deities are born of desires, what do you think gave birth to a deity suddenly"
"Melia, I don’t know... but I did remember him saying something about danger befalling our world" Lorak said.
Melia stood up hastily.
"What?" Relaxed Lorak asked slowly and carefully.
"Do you remember what Mama Tessa used to say to us when we were kids" she asked.
"Melia thats like over eight centuries ago my memory is not that good, but I do know Mama Tessa hated the gods and spread awful rumours about them, then she would call the rumours prophecy, life those times was so easy"
Melia tightened her fist,
"Did you really think Mama Tess was spreading rumours and her prophecy was a lie"
"Come on sis, why so angry, I was only saying what the villagers said about her. Why did you bring up Mama Tessa...?"
"Mama Tessa said, of all the universe, our universe is the best because the gods cannot touch it, she said the gods are jealous of what we have and want it for themselves, but nothing last in their hands, anywhere they go destruction follows... that - "
"...if there ever comes a day the balance of our world is tilted, then the gods are a step closer to taking away what’s ours... again" Both of them said it together.
"I never thought much of it, but massive number of humans suddenly got transported to our world and have strong powers and can do things as level up..."
"There’s no way...Melia, that was a long time..." Lorak stopped in middle of his talk.
"You know it, who knows we might already be too late, the gods might already be walking on our soil...this person might be a way for us to restore Mama Tessa’s reputation, to bring the elves together again, to fight the gods...this person I’m sure will be able to give us direction"
Lorak sighed and stood up,
"Talk to the King for me Melia, I’ll be expecting your message later in the day" he said and walked away.
