Chapter 218: A hero for the people
Rein popped into his room from within the space and met Harley and Marley, the two sisters on his bed, they had slept heavily. Rein went out with a little excitement on his face, "Miss Amelia" he softly called out as he walked past them array of rooms.
On reaching the stairs connected to the lower floor he meets her, she bows.
"I am Ashmedai, a fallen angel, one of the seven deadly sins, the sin of lost and the demon lord of lechery" she said.
"Wow... what about Harley and Marley?"
"They are the last of the fairies, Harley is a fairy of the ocean and Marley is a fairy of flame. Duke Erin found them ten years ago"
"Wow...what about Belet?"
"Belet has always been a demon lord, it was survival instincts that made him take the form of a mythical beast"
"...Then all the happenings with the duke up until this moment was not a coincidence"
"No, the duke specifically went for you...even the decision of the gods to flip your world might not be, but I am not certain that was the duke’s work" Amelia said.
"There’s someone else who knows-" Rein remembers, "the great sage... and... the dragon...who’s soul seem somewhat familiar now that I think of it, maybe it’s because my perception has greatly risen"

"An angel...seriously?! is something going on that I do not know about?"

Rein smiled and patted her hair, "thank you for telling me this things"
Amelia blushed as Rein complimented her and proceeded down the stairs.
He went out and met Jon, Arnette and Duke Erin trying to settle things with the Artician military who seemed to have come looking for him.
"Is that him" The Corps General said as he saw Rein come out.
Guffs raised his long gun and pointed it to Rein, "Seriously this skinny thing?"
Ben and Kat’s eyes began to burn with fury but before they could move a yellow haired lady removed his head from his neck with her bare hands.
She smiled and faced Reinard, "Master, it’s nice to have you back, I waited for you..." blood was splashed all over her face, she had ears on her hair and she had a tail.
"Aurora...", ’she has entered into the upper echelon and has gained a humanoid form, so much has changed around here’
The rest of the draconic direwolves popped out from around and went on their knees, all of them had gained humanoid forms.
Rein smiled, "this feels good"
The Corps General couldn’t stop looking at the head of his General in the hand of some wolf lady.
"Let’s talk inside" Rein said to him and went inside. Jon and Arnette escorted him inside.
Katherine shook her head and made a irritated face at Aurora. Who just grinned like a cute witch.
Rein sat down at his seat and the Corps General joined him.
"I don’t want to enter any sort of trouble with the articians, however if it’s inevitable I do not mind, my subordinate killed your man because he dared to aim at me the dragon king, it’s the same thing that will happen to anyone who wages war against me, go tell the higher ups that. You can give them my name, Reinard Wimberley Weldeert, the Dragon King and Lord of the north sea."
Reinard stood up and walked away, the Corps General was sent away with a trauma, the fear he felt as Rein announced himself, he curled in the corner of his room for days before he could dare see the light or talk to anyone.

Duke Erin enters into the imperial meeting hall.
"We tried our best to find you but it was to no avail"
"Your Majesty, I indeed was kidnapped by a dragon but you don’t need to worry. Since my son saved me"
"Your son?"
"Yes. My son Reinard saved me from the gold dragon’s territory."
"..." The Emperor was speechless, the hall was filled with murmuring. "I am happy for you. But I am most surprised that you were saved by you son, he must be very strong as the rumors say"
"Your Mercy is boundless, I apologize for my absence"
"But Duke Erin...why did you get captured by a dragon"
"The gold dragon is known for its love for treasures, it makes sense that Lord Erin is the one that was captured" Duke Belmont said.
"I see" The Emperor said and the meeting proceeded.
"Next we have the Fenrir Kingdom" Count Fride read out.
"Why is that insignificant kingdom popping up in our agenda?" Duke Clemon said.
"Because they are becoming a bother" Count Fride replied him, in just three months they have swallowed the whole of Caenleigh and they are eating up Perrigwyn, Perrigwyn is a part of our alliance and have submitted many request for help. If they swallow Perrigwyn it would be Selsmire which is also a part of our alliance, after that it would be Pallind fortress, after Pallind fortress they are beginning to enter our territory."
"That’s not reasonable Count Fride, they wouldn’t dare, they know the power of the empire" Duke Griswold said.
"But these people did not stop with Caenleigh, if they do not stop with Perrigwyn we have to take measures before they move unto Selsmire Kingdom."
"Let’s do that" The Emperor said.
"But your imperi-"
With a raise of the Emperor’s hand Duke Griswold shut his mouth.
"I want to rest" The Emperor stood up and left.
The nobles sighed and slowly left one by one.
Duke Belmont greeted Duke Erin on his way out, "It’s really nice to have you back"
"The pleasure is mine Lord Belmont"
"I’d like to see your son, I’ve always hated that I can’t properly meet him since for three years now"
"You will Lord Belmont, he’s just always busy moving around and how’s your son"
"Arnette, I’m really glad he’s back home, he’s so strong it pains me that he has no desire to serve the empire but I must say I’m rather worried, if the guild Bureau is targeting the gud he is a part of he might be in danger. I cannot force him to do anything but I worry for him a lot"
"I don’t think they need us to worry about them, these guys are strong remember, they might even be the strongest in the Empire who knows"
Duke Belmont smiles, "You should also come and see my daughters with your son if you have time, they also attended the academy with Arnette but they hate blood, they are pretty"
"I’ll put that in mind" Duke Erin said as he entered his four wheeled carriage.

<Inside Fenrir Kingdom War Room>
"Compared to Caenleigh, Perrigwyn has the backing of the Forgan Empire it would be harder to make them break" Count Mesleh says.
"Why do you have to care about that, you just follow my instructions" Yhuzia replied him.
He sprang up with anger, "why do we have to follow this stranger!! Forgive me your Majesty but the stranger came in three months ago and began to order us around for a war yet you said nothing about it, I admit that with his guidance we made Caenleigh Kingdom surrendered without much fight but Perrigwyn is funny, Caenleigh Kingdom was in the Azure alliance which is having internal disputes, but Perrigwyn is under the Forgan Empire alliance, this is doom for us!" His head rolled to the floor as he finished talking, no one in the room saw it, no one saw what beheaded him.
They all stood up in fear, this was not the first time, it was what happened when anyone dared to raise their opinion against the war. Out of four Dukes, three were dead, out of nine counts four including Count Mesleh were dead.
"The King is not asking you to use your lives, just go with the plan"
"Damnit, our king is not saying anything, you are the one doing all the talking, tell us if we have a real king behind the shadows...things have been weird for two years already" Viscount Gosbert Mekel said.
"I like your courage, survive till this is over if you all want to truly know, if you follow the instructions. I can promise you, you will not die but if you keep doing these, and you all die, we might just have to select new nobles after this is all over.
The meeting was dispersed and all of them left the war room, Duke Sebastian Adelhof from the window of his Chariot watched the streets of the Kingdom brimming with life even though it was a war period.
"This is all thanks to that Adventurer, the one that saved our Kingdom people when they were enslaved and caught as hostages by Caenleigh Kingdom" Count Nagel said.
"A hero for the people to look up to...the timing seems to perfect"
For the past three months that Fenrir had been in war, an adventurer has been there for the people, the government not caring about the people’s state went to war but an adventurer arrived and protected the people each time there was trouble, he did not join the war all he cared about was the people, he would often provide food for the people and protect them, he also helped train the farmers to protect themselves. That was none other than the adventurer Reinard.
Reinard walked freely on the streets of Rayland, the capital of Fenrir, but every commoner called his name, some would even want to offer him free goods which he would refuse.
He sat down on a chair in a bar and sighed, ’it is really stressful and feels like I’m lying to the people...this was all Yhuzia’s idea, I had no idea he’s this smart, the people want a figure they support as King, I’m just getting started but it’s a progress compared to three months ago when they threw tomatoes at me...throwing tomatoes at a dragon king...’ Some adventurers walked into the bar, they immediately sighted Reinard who was sitting and drinking beer.
"Oh oh, of it isn’t the famous foreigner" One hits the table and sits down, the other two stood beside that one.
’Players...they just wouldn’t give up’ Reinard shook his head slightly.
"You must be getting egoistic now that the people love you huh...you have forgotten your place"
Rein scoffs, "Getting egoistic?...I was born egoistic motherfucka"
"These bastard, it’s your mouth that will kee-"
Rein crushed his face with a punch, so much that they could not identify him. The rest got scared as Rein stood up and blood was dropping from his hand, they began to piss and hurriedly crawl away.
Rein placed his hand over the man’s face, "Regenerate" he left and dropped a gold coins on the bartender’s table, "the change is for the damages" he said as he walked out.
The other two ran out and cried, "he killed Philip"
They knew it would damage Rein’s reputation to hear that he knew another he killed another adventurer but the few that followed them saw the guy sleeping there intact and insulted them for trying to make the people hate their savior. Not that the whole of Fenrir had accepted Reinard, but Rayland was his beginning.
