Chapter 208: Investigating the anomaly I
"This is weird, for the past five thousand years I have stayed the same. Angels cannot grow, so is it with we fallen that end up becoming demons, the we are designated with a fix amount of strength... but what is this... I can feel myself overflowing with more magical power."

Someone forced his way into Sameel’s domain. "Bastard, who said you cou-... what the hell happened to you why do you have horns?"
"Huh? I have horns?" Sameel touched his forehead and felt it, "wow I have horns"
"Bastard what did you do?" Iblis stretched his magma hand to grab Sameel’s collar but it bounced back off. "What?! I can’t reach you"
Even Sameel was surprised and happy. He stretched forth his hand and his army of dead began to come out, all of them felt different, they all seem to have grown significantly especially the generals. Although many still had the skeleton skin but the generals seemed to have added black flesh and their power had grown.
Iblis looked around and got closer to Sameel, "whatever you did... I want to know it..."
Sameel grinned, "I made a contract with someone"
"..." Iblis stared blankly at Sameel, "are you serious right now, there’s no way a contract with human can make you grow this much..."
"I never said it’s human... I said someone, and yes you are right I can’t grow this much unless the person is a deity" just then Sameel’s eye widened. ’Did I just bring a deity into the abyss and formed contract with him. Forming contract with a deity is like the wildest dream come through, no deity in their sane mind would form contract with us because we would just be leaching them off’
Iblis laughed, "which deity in their sane mind will form contract with you and besides the deities are no more...tsk tsk, anyways get back to you job before Baal tears you up" Iblis walked out.
Sameel grinned, ’ahh... I wander if I am able to take him on’

"Master, I’m really sorry I had no idea what happened!"
"No, Chief its really okay"
’Father are you fine’
’I’m fine, Azes you didn’t have to come all the way here’
’I couldn’t help it, you presence was fading away and I had no idea what happened’
’Awwh, were you that worried’ Rein carried Azes and rubbed his belly, Azes chuckled. ’I’m sorry to have worried you’
’Its okay father...just be careful’
Rein looked at both of them and smiled, "I’m really fine. Oh and are you Juan?"
"Yes I am", he bowed, ’I can’t believe it. What is this ridiculous amount of magical power...no wonder he got sucked into the abyss’
"Well I heard there are some issues-"
"No Master! You should probably rest first then we will treat the issue later"
"Chief Letra, I have rested well enough and I have quite a lot to do you see..."
"I see" Chief letra answered him.
Juan answered Rein, " mythical beast and monster have been constantly fighting."
"Why is that an issue" Rein asked.
"...?" Juan looked puzzled, then Chief Letra whispered into his ear. "Oh, forgive me... I did not know, mythical beast and monsters do not fight. They rather ignore each other in fact you can never find them in the same area, they cannot coexist or even terminate each other. So the fact that they keep constantly fighting means that something is wrong, I carried an investigation team with me but we got annihilated by both the mythical beast and monsters"
"Wait let me get this straight, you said mythical beast cannot coexist with monsters yet they worked and in to annihilate your investigation team"
"Yes sir, I have no idea what is going on anymore" Juan said.
"Hmm, well I’ll check it" Rein stood up.
"Now?" Chief Letra asked him with a worried face
"Yes. Now" Reinard left the room.
After awhile Juan showed him to the forest where it was all happening.
"I can follow you...."
"No, it’s okay" Rein replied Juan and continued into the forest.
"Is it really okay?" Chief Letra said with a very worried expression.
Juan continued to watch Rein’s back as he went further into the darkness, "I do know that this young Master is strong"
Rein continued deeper and deeper.
"Do you see anything Azes"
"Nothing Father"
"And I’ve been thinking for awhile, you really don’t need to call me father you know right?"
"I love calling you father"
Rein smiled as they continued.
"Azes I formed contract with a demon"
"I know"
Rein was surprised, "how do you know?"
"I smelled him on you the moment you came, I could see thousand of deaf souls beneath your feet"
"Ohhhoo" Reinard kept raising his feet, "can you still see it?"
"No father its gone and maybe when you use dragon eyes you will see it too" Azes said.
"Ah that’s right"
"We are here"
Reinard stopped upon hearing Azes voice. "This place?"
"Yes"
"But it’s just a bamboo forest"
"It’s different"

Rein immediately felt the rush of wind and activated remote sensing.

The wind began to rush gently again, immediately something sped through but did not sleep past Rein’s grab. Rein grabbed the harpy by the neck.
"An harpy?" Rein was surprised by what he had caught, an harpy was classified as a race of its own because they showed little intelligence but they were monsters basically, without their queen to coordinate them, they become monsters.

The harpy tried to struggle but could not even move anything from Reinard’s tight grip on its neck. It had a long blue hair and the hands were attached to its feathered wings, the legs were long like that of a human but they were claws instead of feet, plus it had the body of a woman, it kept gnarling at Rein even though it was suffering so much pain in his hands.
"What am I going to do with this thing..."
{Tear off one of its wing so it won’t be able to fly run away}
’Ariel that’s cruel’
{It’s reasonable. It’s a monster}
’Even if it is, it doesn’t seem right to make it suffer unnecessarily’

’You can’t’ Rein shook his head, "Aurora"
Immediately Aurora appeared in front of him with the summoning skill.
``Master`` she said with a wiggling tail.
"Loof after her" Reinard released his grip on the harpy, it immediately flew off but Auroras zapped past it with her lightening speed and waited for it in front, she jumped on it and faced Rein, ``I got it master`` she said in a wolf language.
Rein smiled and continued walking into the bamboo forest. "I can tell all of them are being extra careful because of what they just saw, about ten harpies are surrounding me, and moving with me...it helps confirm my speculations. These guys are protecting something" Rein stopped and looked around, then he suddenly detected a sudden enormous presence.
"What the hell is this?!" Rein flinched as the large animal slowly descended at his front, it was a griffin but unlike any griffin Rein jas ever seen, very large and it hard shining armor around it’s wings and head and feet. It landed in front of Rein and even cause him to fall.
"I sense no danger in you" the griffin said to him.
"Ehhh? A talking griffin?"
A dark figure enlarged behind Reinard, it was Azes.
’Wow, Azes has really grown’
"A dragon" the griffin said.
"For you to not be surprise even after seeing me, then you must be the griffin king"
"Bit you are young, I’ve been roaming the surface of this world for a thousand years and you seem like a new born."
"Such audacity you have before me" Azes gnarled at the griffin king who did not even move an inch.
’Ehh? This guy is the real deal... to be able to confront a dragon like that’
"My business is not with you dark dragon. My business is with this human"
"Human?"
The griffin king paused for a moment. "Human"
Rein did not mind being called human, but he could feel something swelling inside of him.
Rein rubbed the back of his head, "This is really annoying"

Heaviness fell on the atmosphere, the griffins and harpies that were behind flew away, including the birds on the tree.
Azes grinned. "Watch for yourself Griffin King...is this the power of a human"
