Chapter 119: Chapter 118: Rarity
Ulfur and Braschiold stood spaced apart from each other. Ulfur kept staring at the skinny boy whose face was filled with confidence, he was irritated but he couldn’t ignore the fact that the boy in front of him was emitting spirit mana even though it seemed to be a leak that even the young boy had not noticed.
Ulfur brought out the sword beam, it wasn’t like it was a physical weapon, it was pure magic at work, it made a whooming sound as he swung it in arcs towards his left and right. He looked at Braschiold again.
"Come!"
Ulfur was a cocky being but he had his tremendous strength to back up his nastiness.
"Rise Ifrit"
𝑾𝑯𝒂𝒂𝒂𝑴𝑴𝑴
Ulfur’s eyeball almost popped out from the way his eyes widened at what he was seeing.
A golem with flames all over its body emerged from the ground, instead of stones like a normal golem, ifrit’s body was filled with molten magma that kept splashing around, Ifrit turned around and looked at Braschiold who immediately pointed to Ulfur,
"Attack him with all you’ve got"
The moment Ifrit looked back at Ulfur he opened his mouth, Ulfur cast three layers of magical shield immediately he sensed the threatening draw of mana.
𝑾𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒐𝒐𝑺𝒔𝑯𝒉𝒉𝒉
There was a large burst of fire from its mouth, it broke into the first layer of shield but was deflected by the second layer but even as at that Ulfur’s body could not condone the high heat of the fire, he immediately dispersed the shield and retreated further away.
’Another talent... A summoner’
Ifrit was still marching towards Ulfur then Ulfur suddenly disappeared and appeared behind Braschiold and pointed the magic beam sword to his neck.
"What are you planning to do making it target that large amount of fire at me"
Braschiold smirked, "I was told to give the best impression"
"Is this your best?"
𝑺𝒔𝒔𝒉𝑯𝒉𝒉𝑯𝒉𝒉𝒉
Multiple ice cones appeared around them, then low-level earth golems began to appear around, Ifrit stretched his hand forward and two balls of fire appeared around Ulfur’s head.
"be careful, those are bombs" Braschiold smirked again.
Ulfur tried disappearing but returned to the spot he was standing, it was as if something was blocking his teleportation magic. He looked at Braschiold who was smirking so hard he looked like a pervert.
"What did you do?"
"hehe... Show yourself dirt golem"
A speck of dust surrounded Ulfur which grew into a large mass of dust with an irregular form with large white circle eyes.
"Grace dirt golem, has immunity to all kinds of magic but its immunity also affect its surrounding, I placed him behind you the moment you appeared here since that teleportation of yours was beginning to get on my nerves"
"..." Ulfur kept quiet.
"oh, m did I crack a nerve... What happened? Don’t tell me, antimagic caught your tongue"
Ulfur’s face darkened,
"Bastard you are dead! You would wish you never did that" Ulfur disappeared and appeared farther away from Braschiold, but almost fell.
’dammit it’s still giddy’
Braschiold’s mouth almost fell off, ’he shouldn’t be able to teleport, he looked at the dust golem who looked at him like "I don’t know what happened" Braschiold bade all the summons to attack Ulfur.
Ulfur stood where he was and raised a hand, the gauntlets appeared again, he folded his fist, "CRUSH" all the small level earth golems turned to dust leaving Ifrit and the dust golem, Braschiold touched the ground again.
"Come forth!! Jotun"
Ulfur could not hide his surprised expression. ’this guy is a gem, summoning two high-level elemental spirit.’
He raised his hands up and the gauntlets disappear, "OK ok you are strong."
"haha... Cancel summon" Braschiold smiled wide.
’I have grown stronger since I want Master to be able to count on me’
"You indeed are strong, and all that you lack as a summoner you make up for it as an elementalist, I honestly don’t have anything to say, but I have a proposal for you. How about you come under the wings of the union. You become my underling first and as time goes on you can be presented the right to challenge any union seat, you would be a prominent figure in the whole of the central artic"
"I refuse!"
"What?! You could at least take some time to think about it."
"Exactly, that’s why I’m refusing. If I think about it any longer I would get tempted, you might not see it now but the might I saw from Master when he fought the orc, I have never seen such monster in my life plus master is good, kind and he cares a lot and there’s a feeling of fun and curiosity from hanging with him. I have decided that with master is where my heart will stay."
"How absurd, and who is this master?"
"Who else?, our party leader of course."
"ahh, that guy again, now I can’t wait to see him"
"In the absence of anything I’ll take my leave."
"I am still giving you time to consider my offer, it’s a once in a lifetime offer"
"I told you already, I have made my decision"
"... Hmm" Ulfur hid the feeling of being turned down and tried to act cool as he watch Braschiold leave, he was pissed yet curious.
"Grandfather seems to like him, his party members trust and love him, Doithrell is wary of him and I am curious, who is he that he is agitating so much curiosity, I’ve met him once ane he didn’t even look much."
Ulfur grabbed his suit and walked out of the training facility.

Seeing Rein return to classes and office work was especially sweetening for Jon who had to bear the workload alone during Rein’s absence. He was very impressed with the diligence Rein was showing and hence was moved to even do more, it was like that for everyone.
Grim stood in front of Rein, he had been standing like that for some minutes but Rein was deep inside what he was doing to even notice.
He finally talked, "Uhm..."
Rein lifted his head "Grim... Wassup"
"About the machine, you told me to work on..."
"Ah that, have you been able to figure it out"
"Not entirely sir but I think with time I should finally be able to create it"
"Keep working on it, at first I wanted to use it for myself but if it is a success, it would be a study ground of financial sourcing for our party which would one day become a guild, we need to be rich"
"oh-okay"
Grim who was not able to meet Rein’s demand and had been feeling guilty was now at ease after discovering that Rein was asking him this not just for himself but also because he had plans to create a stable source of income for the party, Rein was planning and Grim admired the fact that he was part of that plan. He finally felt needed, there were many good top-notch engineers in the central artic since it was the continent with the highest level of civilization, they manage mana crystals and magical minerals to the extreme since they were blessed with dungeons, they were very good with crafting automation and programming a machine to do the necessities, in fact, a genius once said in the next 40 years it would be possible to fix machine part to the human body or to create a machine that is programmed to be human. Thus any other engineers on Central artic never felt important because there were thousands of other greater ones but with Rein, Grim felt the best of himself, he was driven to work harder. Grim was very optimistic that he was gonna have a breakthrough with this.
’A machine that can assist the cripple to walk. I will do it and make Sir Rein proud of me’ Grim clenched his fist and ran on to his private workshop in the party house.
Jon who was watching throughout Rein’s conversation with Grim could not help but ask, "What was that about?"
Rein looked up at Jon’s curious face.
"... You don’t need to know" he smirked.
"Are you keeping things from me?"
"It is exclusive between Grim and I"
"Sure feels nice seeing you share a personal relationship with everyone"
"ooouuu are you jealous right now?"
"not even near, do I look like Zolin?"
"eeii" Rein made a mockery expression at Jon. "speaking about Zolin he has been around less"
"Apparently he’s got caught up in his issues, being the only dark assassin in the academy he’s getting popular and a lot of responsibility is coming with it, like how he has been appointed the Assasin-class president."
"ahhh they appointing class presidents already" Rein’s expression went down.
Jon looked at him, "Well then there’s the unique you, strong enough even without a job, the strongest Jack of all trades to exist"
"Yea, thanks you really are changing too, I remember you to be always blunt and emotionless but now you can give words of motivation but you don’t need to cheer me up, I made this decision I’ll bear its weight"
Rein clenched his fist,
"I’ll do better from here on, there are still many people that I don’t even measure up to yet so I can’t get comfortable yet"
"I guess there is nothing for me to worry about"
"Don’t act like a babysitter and besides shouldn’t you be busy, I mean you are the most prominent one of all cyromancer and even elementalist, you are just much of a celebrity as Zolin is"
"..." He stared at Rein
"..."
Rein stared back.
"Now that you are growing you are pushing me away huh, no worries I’ll deal with my lonely ass myself"
Jon walked out majestically as always and threw Rein a goodbye wave.
