"Fake?" Everyone turned to look at her.
"It’s just a shell that can be shattered with a single touch and isn’t even connected to the golem. It wasn’t made to move with the golem—that’s why the golem didn’t move in combat—but to withstand an unmatched force." Lucius grabbed the spear and pointed at the stretching mana vein.
Everyone followed that vein with their eyes... and found that it was connected to the mana mark.
All the mana being transmitted from the mark was flowing into the veins of the armor!
"The weight... went there." Lucius confirmed everyone’s suspicions.
’S-s-shit. Who is this guy? The fucking Lucius #5 from the World Rankings?!’ Jake Lakeside exclaimed inwardly.
He’d seen him up close! He’d been less than a meter away the whole time! And he’d never noticed him doing something like that, for God’s sake!
He wasn’t the only one with those thoughts...
"Faced with the power that entered the Golem through the mark, the armor absorbed it completely. But the armor was still covering the Golem’s body, so there was plenty of power available. And since the spear has built-in Mana Weight, all that was needed was to make use of it."
"The Golem knew what it had to do. But it didn’t move at first because it was too heavy. However, once everything was properly distributed throughout the armor, it just had to break down its own mana, and the spear’s weight dropped to 30 kilograms. With less weight to move and by taking advantage of the spear’s other mechanisms... well, that’s all there is to it."

"Don’t look at me like that..." Lucius laughed when he saw that everyone was staring at him as if he were some kind of monster or who knows what.
But no one knew what to say.
The old man fell silent, and after thinking for five minutes, he looked at Jake Lakeside.
"You have a student who will take you to the top. I didn’t know you were such a good teacher; I’ll tell the elders about you," he said with a smile.
Jake shook his head. "I’m not responsible for the kind of genius he is," he replied with complete honesty.
The old man understood.
He looked at Lucius. "Nothing discussed here will be revealed. I’ll just say that I’ll be watching you."
Lucius nodded. "If you could say that my Golem barely met the legal standard, I’d be grateful. In fact, if possible, if four of you could believe it was illegal, that would help me."
"But..."
"It will be very helpful to me if you continue to look down on me for a while," Lucius interrupted.
They nodded. "Very well, then. It will be as you say," they replied.
After that, the private meeting ended.
They still had questions, but they understood that revealing this much was already revealing part of the Class’s secrets. However, they were able to figure out that the leader of this class wasn’t Jake... it was Lucius. At least the old man was able to figure that out.
Before leaving, the old man left him a little note with his contact information. His name is Andrew Morgan.
Class F... well, the recently promoted Class E went to claim their classroom, and the news spread like wildfire throughout the academy.
Class F had beaten Class E in a Ranking Battle and had been promoted!
The historic moment was posted on The Wall a few hours later. Although auxiliary classes like Toolcrafting didn’t usually attract much attention, this time many people took special notice.
It was the first time this had ever happened in the academy’s history.
There have been cases of a Class E rising to Class D... There are many cases of D to C. There have even been cases of a Class B rising to Class A... but never before had a Class F managed to move up a class!
And the fact that the protagonist of that promotion was Lucius Asturias made it even more shocking.
The Asturias family was nearly turned upside down, especially Darius.
However, there were some who were happy.
Kael, for example, who saw the news on the front page.
As he watched the video and listened to his subordinates praise Lucius—the very same people who had once looked down on him—he laughed.
"Maybe soon it’ll be you who have to face him. Aren’t you afraid?"
They frowned. "If it were just him, well, he’d be dangerous. But I think his teammates will inevitably drag him down. Creating Level 1 tools isn’t the same as creating Level 3 tools," said one of them.
Kael nodded. He agreed with them.
"Well, at least he’s already kept his promise. He managed to take Class F to a new level... I’m genuinely surprised. Not even in my wildest dreams could I have achieved that," Kael admitted.
Many of his peers felt the same way, though he was the only one who dared to admit it outright.
And so came Class F’s first dawn—now Class E—with shocking news.
The Class C Leader had lost to the Class D Leader... Now, a former Class C Leader had been demoted and had become the Class D Leader.
And they accepted the challenge to battle the recently promoted Class E!
This was a match no one wanted to miss.
For many, this was the moment they would take Class E down a peg—a class that had done nothing to celebrate its victory but hated them for having been Class F just a few hours earlier.
The match took place the next day, in the same coliseum.
The recently demoted Class D seemed furious... they’d never been humiliated like that before, so they wanted to take their anger out on some idiot.
That’s why they accepted it immediately. They’d found their idiot.
But that idiot was a real downer for them when, around 7 p.m., they were sent down one rank.
Jake Lakeside and Lucius Asturias’s class had managed to advance to the top Class D!
No one could believe their eyes...
But the most surprising part came a second after the battle between the Golems ended...
Jake Lakeside and Lucius Asturias’s Class D issued a challenge to the Class C Leader.
They wanted to move up once again!
And against a Class C!
