Chapter 643: Chapter 642 Calamity of the Old Lese Kingdom_1

Mr. Blood-garment floated in a chaotic netherworld, communicating intently with the dead controlled by the Grim Reaper.

"After receiving a blessing from me, you have yet to achieve any results so far, and now you hope to borrow my power directly?" the Grim Reaper’s voice was calm and icy cold, "That’s different from the promise you made before."

"What I assured was only to do better than your former agents, and in this respect, I still consider myself somewhat stronger than the vampire prince who was directly caught and executed," Mr. Blood-garment chuckled.

"To me, you two are no different—waste," the Grim Reaper paused, "only that you have a thicker skin."

"To achieve our goal, your power is essential," Mr. Blood-garment persisted in persuading, "The power of the Wordless Code has sealed off injury and death, and my power cannot override the sole authority, but yours can."

"Then it would be better for me to kill your enemies myself," the voice of the Grim Reaper carried a hint of mockery.

"If you could do that, nothing would be better," Mr. Blood-garment smiled.

"I cannot maintain consciousness for long, so I will not leave the netherworld, let alone go to that woman’s place where you once served. Since everything is arranged by her, she must be there too," the Grim Reaper spoke slowly.

"Do you suspect that I am still serving her, setting a trap for you?" Mr. Blood-garment laughed, "Then you are really wronging me..."

"No, although I’m not sure how your mind works, that woman wouldn’t be so foolish, but I will not give my deadly foe an advantage," the Grim Reaper replied coldly.

"Too bad, this delay is not good for us," Mr. Blood-garment’s voice deepened, "My lord, I do not need you to take action yourself, I only need you to break the deadlock for me."

"..." The Grim Reaper was silent for a while, then asked, "What do you want to do?"

"A hundred years ago, you planned a great plague in the Old Lese Kingdom," Mr. Blood-garment inquired, "I found that the plague was quite unusual, dare I ask if that was also the power of the ’Death’ authority?"

"Why bring up old matters?"

"The ’Desolation’ authority used by mortals, from low to mid-level, is only different in the size of the domain and the strength of the lethality. But your use of ’Desolation’ is vastly different from ours; we can only kill within our domain, but your death can spread beyond the limits of your own power."

From the last assassination attempt, Mr. Blood-garment found that the Grim Reaper could do at least two things that the ordinary "Desolation" authority could not.

The first was to set a lifespan for a person. Conrad, the follower whom he had sent to jail and had transferred divine essence to, was in fact already affected by the Grim Reaper’s authority, doomed to die on the day of the assassination. With this method, Conrad managed to die under the conditions set by Aiden’s Wordless Code, which dictated that no one should die, thus triggering the "Sacrifice" authority.

Although the assassination did not achieve its purpose, Mr. Blood-garment at least confirmed one thing completely—that the death caused by the Grim Reaper’s authority could not be prevented by the rules of the Wordless Code.

The second was to attribute the concept of "absolute death" to a certain cause of death, and the vial of poison was an example.

While investigating the plague that had once raged in the Old Lese Kingdom, Mr. Blood-garment discovered that the bizarre early symptoms recorded from that epidemic seemed to be just common flu, but the later deterioration was extremely rapid, and the mortality rate of the infectious disease was ridiculously high, almost certainly fatal if contracted, until a witch stepped forward to find a way to control the plague.

As Mr. Red Robe knew, that witch seemed to be a pawn of the Death God at the time.

At the same time, many of those unfortunate souls who died exploring the organization’s territory, which made Gistas’s cursed land infamous, also perished from strange diseases.

"I don’t like lengthy conversations," the Death God was already becoming impatient.

"My apologies, I’ll get straight to the point. Allow me to boldly speculate a bit, I think you should be able to spread your power using something related to death as a vessel. After you endow this thing with the concept of absolute death, even outside of your domain, it can spread death. Like plagues and poisons," Mr. Red Robe respectfully inquired. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Because it had been endowed with the concept of absolute death, the poison extracted from the lily of the valley could instantly reach a lethal dose upon ingestion.

And a common plague could turn into a disaster that leaves corpses strewn across an entire kingdom.

Bestowing this concept onto a method of murder could kill Aiden Galahad within the realm of the Wordless Code.

"Should I praise your perception?" the Death God asked.

"Then my thoughts are correct," Mr. Red Robe sighed, "My Death God, if I had known the truth of your power from the beginning, I could have designed a more detailed assassination plan, and perhaps we would have succeeded already."

If they could have made the operative responsible for the assassination pick up a weapon cursed with the Death God’s power, such as a gun or dagger, to kill Aiden Galahad, it might have been successful already—of course, that wasn’t certain. According to observations, the current Aiden Galahad seemed to have regained his former combat prowess, and it wasn’t easy to kill a peak condition, constantly vigilant combatant with conventional weapons.

"Only a fool would carelessly reveal the details of their powers," the Death God remarked, "What do you want to do?"

"I hope to recreate the divine miracle you performed in the Old Lese Kingdom within that prison..." Mr. Red Robe smiled, "With some luck, we might even be able to kill that damned warden directly."

"That’s impossible," the Death God answered.

"Why?"

"Since you already know, I’ll make it clear to you. ’Desolation’ can spread death outside its domain in the form of an attached vessel, but there are restrictions, which is that the ’cause of death’ must be effective," the Death God explained, "The poison must be potent enough to produce symptoms, and the same goes for disease. As for weapons, they must inflict injury. If the vessel is eliminated during this process, the ultimate death cannot descend."

"That means even if a plague is spread, once the disease is cured, the power cannot take effect," Mr. Red Robe realized with a nod, then said, "No matter, my lord, as long as you are willing to adopt my plan, even if we can’t kill the target, you can still create opportunities for me to act."

After a long silence, the Death God responded faintly, "I am about to slumber."

"Please wait, my lord!" Mr. Red Robe, thinking he had been rejected, hastily said.

"This is the last time," the Death God suddenly declared, "Bring your pawn to me."

"Thank you for your generosity," Mr. Red Robe smiled.
