"So, that thing can bring you back to life, huh."

I was initially surprised by how calm Alan was, I had expected him to be livid when he found out that we ventured into the tunnel and took the trial by ourselves, especially when he had warned us sternly not too.

He was angry, but only for a mere moment. He had regained his calm fairly quickly, it was such a surprising change. One so much that we hadn’t expected it at all.

Everyone looked at him with a strange gaze, while he wasn’t really one to get angry a lot, and especially take it out on us, he had changed a little a while back. His temper had changed these days.

His change of attitude was such a surprise that even the old dragon was taken aback.

"Indeed, my prince. It’s something her majesty Ariel made herself to ensure that death will not be an obstacle. Though, it is not perfect."

I wanted to inquire what he meant by not perfect, but I was simply tired, and shook, Alan noticed it right away.

He asked through the astral bond, I wasn’t sure how to respond. On one hand, I could tell him that it wasn’t an easy thing to return from the dead and maintain a sound mind, but then again. He had endured injuries that made death seem to be a blessing.

He wasn’t the right person to sympathize with.

[Just give me a moment.]

He gave everyone some time to collect themselves as he went towards the tunnel. He didn’t enter it, however, he simply stared at it from afar, his arms locked together.

After everyone had somewhat regained their...sanity, We discussed how we could defeat the abominable giant.

I made a severe mistake letting logic control my mind when we were faced with something like that, the sacs of liquid lightning were a trap. Biologically, something that dangerous should never be inside an organism...

But maybe that was the first clue I failed to realize. If something like that did exist...it would be with some protection, not completely defenseless.

Promising myself to not make the same mistake again, and accurately determine the structure of any foe I face and take appropriate measures, I listened to the rest.

"We can do the same thing again, I could make my way towards, or it’s face, or someone could drop me off there and I can blow the thing up from inside."

Alexander proposed, I didn’t know how to respond. His plan seemed solid, to break down Goliath himself from the inside... But it would not work.

Kizmal was literally lightning, he was the storm. There was such intense electrical mana inside his body that Alexander would not survive. His [Null] attribute may have been able to offset the mana inside, and offer protection but...

How much mana did Alexander have, and how much was it compared to Kizmal? It was like comparing a pond to a river. He would have a minuscule window of time to inflict any serious damage. And he had to escape as well.

"That won’t work, the mana inside will kill you."

I was about to say the same thing, but Alan beat me to it. His multiple attempts at challenging the trial did teach him a few things.

But Alexander was not fully convinced.

"Not inside his body, I meant, like at the ears? If I could get into the canal or just outside, I could fire a good attack there."

It was sound, but his attributes were of electricity and null, he would not be able to deal any significant damage.

It was more advantageous to have Alan do it, he had attributes Kizmal had no resistance towards, and a much larger mana pool. He would be able to do something significant.

But then again, the main issue was... Kizmal would not let Alan get that close. Alexander and everyone else may be able to, but not the dragons in their party. That giant abhorred them. I had cast multiple types of magic on the giant, but she was ignored. Olivia was busy destroying its eye, Edward was attacking the hearts and Alexander himself was doing some damage as well...

But we were all ignored... He was hellbent of ripping Kazikato apart, it paid the least amount of attention to the rest, and was focused only on the dragon.

It wanted to rip Kazikato apart, and I was damn sure Alan would not be spared its wrath.

It would never allow Alan to do something like that, so perhaps it would be better if I did it. I can perform the same spell and fire it inside the ear. I can aim to penetrate the brain and end it there.

However, there are alternate options as well... But before I state them, I need to know more.

"... Tell me everything you know, Al. Everything you found out. I want to know all of its abilities."

I had been trying to get into the habit of calling him by his nickname, the one his sister called him by, but it was still weird. Nonetheless, I had succeeded and was using it more often, something I was proud of.

Although it was a bit depressing, he had not used mine until now.

Alan explained everything in detail, perhaps a bit too much. He had told us about everything he had experienced... everything.

It made me realize he truly wasn’t the person to complain to about my recent experience... I would rather die than go through what he went through. Even with that overpowered regeneration of his... It’s too much.

There were the beams of incinerating light, the ones released from the drums, the storm clouds he could call, and the effects of the different colored lightning, as well as the abnormal physical qualities it possessed.

He was as fast as lightning, fitting his name, but terrifying when one looked at his size. Something that big should not be that fast.

Aside from the abilities, Kizmal could...manipulate lightning into a solid and liquid form. He could make weapons from it, as well as rain down liquid lightning.

I had experienced the latter, but the first was a surprise. According to Alan, it used a trident. But that was not the end of it.
