Making the most out of the short time I had with the hottie nurse, I eventually found myself put back down to bed and the only one awake in the dark.
’Sigh, if only I were older, I would have bent that nurse over the bathroom sink and gone to town, damn it.’ Looking at my mystical left hand, which had a mind of its own and would sneak into buttoned-up blouses and had a secret knack for worming its way into bras to get a good feel of the fleshy bits they were meant to protect, I rued the fact I couldn’t have ACTUAL fun yet.
Between my Talent and natural charisma, wooing a hottie nurse like Lily wouldn’t even be a challenge, yet because I was still a child, I wouldn’t enter her eyes unless I forcefully went against her nature with my Talent.
Even then, unless I expended a massive amount of PC on my commands, the odds of actually accomplishing anything were slim at best; such was how my Talent worked before Beta-Rank.
Since the only skill I had at my disposal was technically a form of Persuasion in the form of coercion, unless my commands followed something in line with the target’s character, it wasn’t easy to make the command stick.
Like with my father, it had taken weeks of repeating the same words over and over before I finally saw any results, and this was no different.
Since Lily only viewed me as adorable and innocent, getting her to do anything remotely sexual was a VERY hard ask, even if I expended all my PC in one go on two words such as "Strip Naked."
Holding up my small hand toward the ceiling, I imagined the soft feeling of cupping her boob and smirking before eventually dropping it back down to my side and opening my Arkadia panel.
’One day, sigh, anyway, let’s check out that reward I earned for the 20-year sub-quest, Arkadia Claim Event Quest Rewards,’
[Congratulations on completing the Event Sub-Quest.]
[As you have gone above and beyond in pushing the Descent of Arkadia closer, you have been generously rewarded for your efforts.]
The most uptodat𝓮 n𝒐vels are published on freёwebnovel.com.
{Fourth Reward: 100 Α-Coins, 1x Basic Instance Token (α), 1x Alpha Instance Token (α), 1x Technique Book (α) Exchange Ticket, 1x Particle Circulation Skill (α) Exchange Ticket.}
[All rewards have been deposited in the User’s inventory.]
At first, when I began reading through the list of rewards, my eyes glazed over due to how lackluster they were; however, when I got to the two exchange tickets, my eyes cleared up and narrowed.
’Well, that’s not good.’ If two things set Pro-Rankers aside from the masses in the early days of Arkadia, they were Techniques and Circulation Skills.
Astronomically priced at 1000 High-Alpha coins from the get-go, the two items were hard to come by in the early days, and if, on the off chance, you were lucky enough to find one in the dungeon, it would, at the maximum, be Basic or No-Rank grade.
The fact that there were tickets for (α) versions of these items was game-changing, as generally, you wouldn’t hear about them popping up outside of the Shop in anything other than Beta-Rank Instances.
Those who inevitably took control of the world, IE, the Pro-Rankers, all had one or more Techniques and a solid foundation built upon a Particle Circulation Technique.
However, those unlucky saps, like myself, ended up formulating an inefficient Circulation Technique of our own, one that, even here in the past, I was using to meditate.
Much like skills in video games, Technique books would teach you effective and useful ways to utilize your Particles to varying degrees.
In contrast, a solid Circulation Technique would allow you the optimal way to nourish your body in a manner that expedites your adaptation to particles.
For Arkadia to practically give them to us for free was something out of this world, as it meant that the power gap between normies who were going through the motions in the future when Arkadia descended would be MASSIVELY behind the curve compared to those of us who were labeled as Returners.
While the gap between us and them would naturally be leagues apart, now, it was no different from us starting on the moon in a race to Mars versus the normies starting in underground caves back on Earth.
It also signaled a drastic increase in the power scaling of Earth in the future.
Luckily, Arkadia had basically informed us in one way or another that the rewards were randomized in a lottery style, so not everyone would be lucky enough to start with a golden spoon like me.
Still, there was an even larger scale issue I would be facing, and that was the fact that anything learned from an Arkadia Learning Book could technically be taught to others, which, while a good thing in the case of Brenden, was a negative aspect if anyone else got there hands on the lucrative rewards I had obtained.
The only advantage I had on my side was the difficulty level of doing such a thing as passing down techniques or Circulation skills, which was relatively low for me.
The reason was that the learning books received from Arkadia were one-time items of use. Once the full contents of the book had been consumed, the source of the skill/technique would vanish forever, returning to Arkadia presumably.
The disappearing of the book meant that if anyone wished to pass down, or teach said skill or technique to another person, they would need to go through the long and arduous process of going step by step from memory until the other person firmly grasped what they were learning.
Luckily for me, I had a cheat in the form of my Talent. Upon reaching Beta-Rank, I would have access to several new Talent skills, one of which was ’Thought-Transfer,’ aka reading minds and transmitting my own thoughts to another; thus, when the time came, between my Talent Skill and perfect memory, I could pass on my knowledge of the book to Brenden and Emilia, in a sense making things work for them as if they were reading the book personally.
