Ten Fingernails and ten toenails later, I moved on and started extracting Jasper’s teeth while relishing in his agony.
Tort….I mean, interrogation is an art form; it must be executed with finesse and a careful, steady hand.
While I had my fun ripping off his nails and pulling his teeth, I would occasionally ask a random question as it popped into my head, such as where he came from, how many Arkadia Coins he had earned, or the contents of his inventory.
However, as time dragged on and the effects of blood loss became apparent, Jasper’s answers came slower and slower with each question I asked.
Not to mention that because my talent had been active the entire time, I was constantly burning my PC like there was no tomorrow.
Then there was the fact that I had been at this little play session of mine for almost 25 minutes.
Knowing that at exactly 11 pm, the Nurse would come in to check on my Brother and Amanda, I would have to cut my playtime early so that I could clean up the pooling mess that had accumulated under Jasper’s steadily going limp body.
Wishing I could prolong the satisfying session as long as possible, I heaved a sorrowful sigh, placed down my bloodied dagger, and walked around to Jasper’s right side before grabbing his arm and, in one swift movement, popping it back in place with a soft click.
’Pull everything out of your inventory and drop it on the floor away from the piss and blood.’ Burning some more of my ever-dwindling PC, I spoke 18 words and felt myself go light-headed as I ran low on Particles.
Barely conscious and in so much pain that even blinking hurt, Jasper was forced to comply, and soon enough, a small pile of items, ranging from potions to both USD and Arkadia Coins, were neatly stacked out of reach from the bodily fluids staining the tile.
Wearing a gentle smile, I walked over to the pile and absorbed it all into my inventory before giving a curt bow toward Jasper.
"Thank you for your donation, don’t worry, it won’t go to waste. NOW THEN, since I’ve utterly broken your spirit, I only have a few more questions before you venture off into the great white beyond."
Walking to his side, I gripped Jasper’s jeans above his hips and held under his right arm before flipping him over onto his back, with a soft splash, as he stirred the puddle of piss and blood.
"Next question, tell me the identities of everyone in your faction against my brother who came back to the past." Crouching down by Jasper’s head, I lightly patted his cheek to focus his thoughts.
At first, he didn’t answer as his cloudy eyes roamed around the ceiling.
"Dumb ass, I broke your spirit, not your mind,"
Schlickk.
Stabbing the tip of my dagger into his left shoulder, I started carving small images of cartoon animals into his flesh, forcing his eyes to clear of haze and focus.
"Dylan Pell, Tommy Bergersen, Aj Emmit, William Schaub and Jeremy Aubert. I swear that’s everyone; the others all died during the invasion….please…just kill me…" Fresh tears cascaded down Jasper’s cheeks as he pleaded for death, but I was having none of it as I cut out the images I had drawn on his shoulder, making little skin flaps in the shape of an elephant, dolphin, and lion’s head.
"Hmm, not done yet, oh, that one turned out really good, gotta keep it as a trophy…" The instant the sentence left my mouth, I blinked rapidly several times with a blank expression.
’No, Bad Taylor, we said we wouldn’t give in to the intrusive thoughts, onlyyyy serial killers take trophies of their victims…’ Shaking my head twice in rapid succession to clear the thoughts, I reached down and began gently hacking off Jasper’s fingers.
"I need to know if you’ve had contact with those five after coming back to the past. Plus, I want their locations to the best of your ability," using the pain of my removing his fingers to keep Jasper awake and focused, I listened to him list off the locations of Tommy and William, both of whom were across the country in Los Angeles.
Apparently, he hadn’t had the chance to meet up with either yet since they were only 5 and 7, but he was planning on doing so after dealing with Brenden.
As for the other three, they hadn’t been born yet, but Jasper was quick on the uptake and gave me their home cities and addresses, something he obtained from the men in question before they all killed themselves to return in the past like a group of cultists.
Shaking my head in disdain upon hearing how the group of idiots killed themselves together to return to the past, I committed the locations and details about each person to memory before finishing up the last animal carving after hacking off his fingers, this one on his forearm and in the shape of a shark.
"Noted, alright, I guess that’s enough for now. Have a good time on your trip to the underworld; I hope there’s a special place for you in hell, you backstabbing f**ker!" with that, I expertly spun the blade and jammed it through his eye, into Jasper’s brain, killing the teenager instantly.
’Hm, I wonder how much XP I got…’ Leaning forward, I gripped a free-of-gore part of Jasper’s shirt and wiped off my blade before tossing it and the corpse into my inventory.
’Oh, that’s swell; I got a WHOLLE .05% XP; sigh, my path to leveling up is going to be a long one. Now for the event quest…’ However, before I could shift away from my status, my eyes fell on my Talent Growth, and I broke into a massive smile.
