With my legs fully augmented at 100 percent, I moved with such quickness that a pulse ring exploded forth from my body as I broke the sound barrier, but this didn’t come without consequences, as I could feel the muscles in my legs screaming with each step I took; still, I fought through it.
The plan had finally formed, and now it was time to execute it, go for broke as they say, and as I barreled past the trio hammering the NightWalker with attacks, I kicked up a gust of wind with enough force to push them aside and arrived directly in front of the monster.
BOOOOM
Flashing into the air and unchambering a fully powered left hook into its face, I withdrew my stone-covered hand faster than I could blink before jumping up and kicking the NightWalker directly in the head, delivering solid concussive blows to the hellspawn, which easily shrugged it off, but these two attacks only served the purpose of getting me in close to do what I needed.
TSSSSTTT CRACKLE
"GAOOOOO!" and what I needed was to jam my electrified Eskrima as deep into its shoulder as it could go.
Unfortunately, it didn’t go as deep as I had anticipated, but still, it was more than enough.
Having seen plenty, I pulled my body up, using the burrowed stick in its shoulder for leverage, then planted both my boots against its chest and kicked off, launching myself back past Brenden, Sonas, and my father before hitting the ground and bouncing back to my feet.
’Xilia, your Dark Arrow can burrow 8 inches into its flesh; your new target is its Energy Core, center mass at the point where its ribs meet in its chest. Breakthrough, and we can hit the core and remove its ability to use Annihilation Aura!’ Releasing my augmentation on my legs, I suddenly felt a bit woozy as my lower limbs wobbled, but It wasn’t nearly enough to topple me, not when I was supercharged with adrenaline.
I couldn’t fall now; no, now was the time to start setting up the trap; thus, I circled around to the flank of the monster and began unleashing one Geomancy attack after another, which in turn was met by several swiping attacks from the NightWalker.
At the same time, I began filling everyone in on the plan by assigning roles.
((Pin it down guys, Marek, Jaxx, Sonas, aim for its arms and shoulders, whatever you do hinder it enough so that it can’t stop one singular attack from LadyFell.)) Snapping my head in Emilia’s direction, I gave out the next order.

((MsCastle, I doubt it will go back toward the mountainside where it could be trapped like before, so I want you forming barriers each time it attacks, work to deflect or redirect its attacks that way the others will have openings to take advantage of.))
((Piniki, this may be out of your realm of usability, but I need you to not let anyones stamina fall by more than 25%, work down the line hitting all of us with your Recharge Skill, this battle is far from over, and if we have even a single shot in the dark at winning, it will be with this scenario.))
My words were met with a wave of confirmation responses, as everyone began getting in position as Xilia vanished from sight and hid in the shadows with her skill.
And so the minutes ticked by, with us bouncing the NightWalker around like a ragdoll without doing a single spec of actual damage to it in any way; if anything, it was as if underwater currents were constantly moving kelp around in the ocean, albeit in a violent manner.
Every move it made was met by ten that would send it wheeling in a different direction, yet at the same time, everything was coordinated between the four of us on the offensive.
If the monster swung with its left arm, Brenden would go low and shoot it up with an uppercut attack, Dad would nail it in the shoulder, and Sonas would hit the arm away from its body, leaving me to attack the other side.
It took us several minutes to work the kinks out with our combination, but after hundreds of failed attempts and a shit ton of Stamina and PC expended, it finally happened.
Starting with me, I launched a triple pillar at the monster’s chest, forcing it into blocking with both arms, but the instant it did, Brenden was right there, with double uppercut air pulses that knocked the NightWalker’s arms skyward.
Tagging out, My father slotted in, delivering a handful of split-second attacks into its shoulders to loosen up the muscles and joints before tagging out for Sonas to provide the finishing touches.
Rushing forward, he channeled all his PC into both arms. With his left, he twisted his arm clockwise and pivoted his body, allowing him to sneak in a right-facing angled uppercut, which connected at just the right moment, forcing the monster to splay out in a T-pose for the briefest of time.
Then….
FWOOOSHHH
An inky black Arrow twice the size of the first blasted past poor Sonas’s head, nearly taking him out in the process. However, before he could scream his complaints and duck out of the way, a sickening SPLAT filled our ears, followed by the most ear-piercing scream of agony we had heard from the NightWalker yet.
"REEAAAAGAOOOO AAAARROOOOO GAOOO!!!!" It screamed while doubling backward and scratching at its chest frantically out of desperation and pain.
We had done it; the stage had been set perfectly, and although it took us 20 minutes to pull off, the fruits of our labor were evident from the screams and the massive 3-foot-long, half-foot-in-diameter arrow sticking out of the monster’s chest.
Without wasting even a breath of time, I moved. Taking two long strides, I jumped into the air with my arms over my shoulder as if I were dragging something that weighed a million pounds and swung forward with all my might…why? You might ask, well, that’s because I was in the middle of manifesting an extremely thick pillar of stone, which tore away from the ground at breakneck speed and slammed into the end of the arrow.
