When I say that Abuella technically doesn’t live with us, I don’t mean she sleeps in the closet or anything dumb like that, only that we had built a small one-bedroom guest house in the massive backyard for her.

Now before you lot start bitching and moaning, let me make it clear, Paola was a primary regret of my fathers. Growing up with a father who was practically a playboy, we had our fair share of women come and go, moving in and leaving, throughout the years, but only ONE had ever tried getting to know Brenden and me, only one had ever been worth a shit in my eyes, and that was Paola.

However, because she was significantly younger than my father and wanted to move her mother up from Columbia to live with us, Dad broke it off with her. I had never seen her again after the six months she lived with us during my time in 7th grade.

But now that Dad had spent his later years alone, he was looking to regain what he had once lost; thus, with some coaxing and, well….funding from me, all the previous issues he had with Paola were cleared up, and the two of them have been married since 2004.

Oh yeah, that was almost four years ago, by the way.

Walking out of the house and down the driveway, I greeted Abuela in Spanish, much to her joy, as I was one of the only people she could communicate with within our house, and helped the old lady out by scooping up all the bags with ease, offering her my arm to hold, and heading back inside.

For the most part, life had been pretty slow. The Henry Potter books had gone according to plan, making me billions of dollars between the movies, merchandise, and books themselves, and I had even gone ahead with repeating the process with another famous franchise, the first movie of which was set to come out November 21st of this year, three months from now.

Which reminds me, I was supposed to attend the Holywood Screening…with Xilia nonetheless, who, by the way, went ABSOLUTELY bonkers when we had killed off the writer and taken over in the same way I had done with Jennifer.

’Xilia, don’t forget to book the plane tickets for our trip in three months. You didn’t get to be on set for the filming, but I will give you the opportunity to meet the guy playing Edwin Collan.’

’AHHHH, please tell me you didn’t get rid of Tyler Lonnter as Joshua, PLEEEASE.’

By the way, if you haven’t figured it out by now, the second book series I had taken over was one about certain sparkling vampires, albeit I made some pretty drastic and dramatic changes to the fourth, newly created from scratch by yours truly fifth and sixth books.

’Nah, I kept him on board; however, I picked up Danni Padbaker as Bella, you know, the girl from the Didney Movie Power High, as Briella, and Harry Cavva as Edwin. The rest of the cast is basically the same as they were in the Origin Timeline.

’EEK, GERALT IS EDWIN, ahhhh, you sure did the series justice.’ Xilia swooned while taking some groceries from me and Helping Abuella and Paola stock the pantry and fridge.

’Don’t get me wrong, Robbie is a good actor, but he wasn’t fit for the role; regardless, we need our street disguises ready for the movie premier.’ Ignoring the screeching in my ear, I walked over to the couch, crossed my arms, and continued watching the news, only to feel an aggravated glare burrowing into my legs.

"Can I help you, little shorty brother," I said with a smirk.

"FUCK YOU!"

"Language, Brenden, I know you’re upset about not hitting your growth spurt yet, but it will come in due time, just like it did for Taylor and Renni." Paola chided, causing my brother to shrink back from the woman who was now holding a flip-flop and shaking it at him.

Hearing her name, Xilia puffed out her bouncing d-cup breasts with pride; after not having them for years, she was finally beginning to look like herself in the Origin Timeline, a stunning young woman.

This is to be expected, considering that she is only a few months younger than me.

However, due to being 3C, she still ages normally, unlike Brenden and I.

Over the years, one of my theories about aging as a 6C was proven true because, on my 15th birthday, I rapidly aged, from how I had looked since the day I ranked up to Beta, around 11-12 years old, to going through puberty overnight, shooting up to Six foot 1 inch.

I could easily pass for being older than 18 and was now in my peak physical condition. This was how I would stay until some point WAY later down the line.

Meanwhile, Brenden, who would turn 15 in a short two months, still looked like a kid, the reason being what I dubbed the rule of fives.

Taking my Rank up out of the equation, I learned that after birth, every five years, we hit a growth spurt, and Brenden’s wouldn’t occur until October, so for the last nine years, he has looked the same, something that annoyed him to no end, especially after I shot up over a year ago.

Setting aside the vertically challenged issue that my brother has, life has been relatively quiet these days, with me exacting one money-making scheme after another and an occasional trip out into the world to hunt down and add another serial killer to my ever-expanding slave list.

Xilia and Brenden frequently went out to do hero patrols, dealing with any Returner villains that popped up or battling it out against Partaevian when they showed their ugly faces, but that was more of a side gig for them, especially when you know who finally came back to the past.

In 2003, Brenden and Emilia finally reconnected, and she was amazed by how different we all were. Mind you, there was a bit of a catfight between Xilia and her, but that was squashed relatively quickly. And I had even sent her into the Undead Tower to work on her Racial Classification. She ended up spending three years there, but when she came out, she had reached Beta-Rank thanks to Gnarnia and was already 5C.

The only downside was her stats, but overall, she was still ahead of the game when compared to 99.9% of players and returners.

However, all that was about to change…with the emergence of the first wave of players returning to the real world, my quiet days were going to be coming to an end, especially since over 280 million people had entered one of the eight towers which had cropped up, one for every continent apart from Antarctica.
