After spending about 30 minutes half slaughtering every undead in sight, I finally reeled in my thoughts and was able to calm down, yet when I turned around to look for Brenden and My Dad; I noticed neither was in sight.

Apparently, in my blind rage, I had pushed forward without pause and, in turn, ended up moving a full three miles away from them. So since I had no idea how long it would take them to catch up, especially with the path of crippled corpses I had left in my wake, I decided my time was better suited to doing my Circulation Skill Cycles.
I mean, why not? Right, there was an overabundance of Beta-Particles in the air to use, so that was precisely what I did, and after completing my 3rd Cycle, only then did my Father and Brother appear through the darkness.
"Christ, is there no such word as moderation in your vocabulary!" Brenden yelled as he ran over to kick me, only to miss and end up slamming his foot into the rocky wall.
"Fuck!" He screamed while holding his right foot and bouncing on one leg.
"Stupid games, stupid prizes, one of these days, youâll learn that I can read you like a book," Rolling my eyes, I got to my feet and noticed something off about my father.
From the heavy amount of sweat running down his face to the flushed bright red skin, all the signs of him looking like a boiled lobster were present, and I knew right away that my Idiot brother hadnât been paying attention.
"Dad, sit down right now and focus on the energy in your body; you are at the breaking point and ready for your first evolution; if you hold it back any longer, you will explode!" Rushing forward, I took out several bottles of particle water. I began splashing them all over my fatherâs body, partially to cool him down and partially to help his body adapt.
Next, I withdrew several Nutrient potions and forced him to chug them while he sat down in a meditative pose.
"If you feel hungry or tired, immediately drink one of these, and you will have sufficient nutrients to progress. The evolution process hurts like a mother fucker, but you need to grit your teeth and fight through the pain." Sitting down in front of him, I began walking him through the process I had gone through multiple times.
Meanwhile, Brenden, who now felt like a total idiot for not recognizing the signs that Dad was ready for his first evolution, panicked internally.
In his defense, he couldnât really be blamed; it was pitch black in the tunnels, and without the ability to see, unless he knew what he was looking for with his expanded perception, there was no way he could have known.
Especially since my father wasnât the type to complain about his physical condition; regardless, what was done was done, and now I needed to get Dad through his Racial Classification Evolution.
"Listen carefully. When you are ready, several notifications from Arkadia will appear on your status display. DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, choose anything that doesnât have Human or some variation of the word attached to it."
"If you do, you will possibly transform into some freak of nature or monster, so stay on the path Brenden and I have followed,"
"I got it, Taylor, it; hah, looks like I have four options. Three are For Different Human forms, and the last is called Revenant. And thereâs a cost for each one." Speaking through labored breathing, my fatherâs final option caused my facial muscles to tense.
"Ok, choose the highest Human option; it should be 3C, so thatâs High Human, correct?" Although I knew exactly what a Revenant was, as I had fought a few in the Origin Timeline, it was extremely concerning that it would present itself as a potential racial evolution, even more so when you understand it was a 4C evolutionary path.
"YesâŚ" My father said while trying his best to control his voice from cracking.
"How much does it cost? Just let me know, and the money is yours, Dad." I replied without hesitation; after all, it would be money well spent in my mind if Dad could jump 2C and go straight to 3C.
"3000 HighâŚ.AlphaâŚ"
In a flash, I withdrew the proper amount in the form of Beta Coins and placed it on my fatherâs lap before watching it vanish into the older manâs inventory.
After several hours of pain and potion chugging later, my fatherâs body released a massive amount of steam, as if he were inside a sauna, and his eyes snapped open.
"AlrightâŚI thinkâŚI finishedâŚbut something feels weirdâŚor well off, the energy levels in my body arenât lowering at allâŚ"
"Shit, are you about to go back to back" I heard Brenden grumble behind me, and from his tone, there was a slight amount of jealousy in his voice, which I found quite funny, all things considered.
"Options, Dad, what are the options."
"Revenant, Phantasm, Hyie Slaughterer, andâŚrgh, Hyie HyumunâŚTaylorâŚwhat do I pick." Cracking his eyes open, My father looked up at me for answers, but when he saw a smile on my face, it almost made him cringe.
"Youâre on the same path as me, strangely enough. Go with Hyie Hyumun. Itâs going to hurt like nothing youâve ever felt before, but you got this."
Nodding his head, my father told me the monetary cost of the 5C evolution, and in response, I sucked in a deep breath because it would end up emptying almost all of my financials, 5000 Low-Beta-Coins.
"5C Hyie Hyumun it is; prepare yourself, Dad, because this is going to hurt like a son of a bitch." Pulling out the necessary coins, I watched them vanish with a bleeding heart, and a moment later, my father collapsed, unconscious, spurring me into action as I immediately pulled a pillow from my inventory along with several resources to aid him in this evolution.
