"While that may be the case, Lord Xipher, the fact still stands that Arkadia deemed the Olympic bombing as a FPIT, but not something like the Oklahoma City Bombings as one, which leads me into what we believe to be the next Event which could potentially be considered as an FPIT…September 11th, 2001."

"I see you’ve reached the same conclusion as I have…" I stated while nodding my head as if I had seen things going in this direction.

I had a full list of potential Events that could be considered as Fixed Points in Time, and at the top was 9/11, as it changed the course of not only air travel in the world but also was the start of what would be called the War on Terror.

Many military campaigns and legislative bills would be passed in the wake of 9/11, and as such, it was the first thing that came to mind when I thought about potential Fixed Points.

"So Lord Xipher has already put thought into such things; that’s quite enlightening; our algorithm also spat out a few more Events, such as the Unveiling of the first Smart Phone, while some of us believe something like the Creation of the web browser Goggle could be considered fixed points we are at a crossroads between theory and realization."

"Even with my intellect and connections, I have yet to go past the theorizing stage, as it is basically a useless endeavor; in the best case, I can identify them early so that I can actively avoid them, whereas in the worst case, I end up dead, but I digress, information is information, regardless of its contents." Shrugging my shoulders, I waved my hand and collected the table and its contents into my inventory before standing up, storing away my chair, and looking at Fredrick.

"Our time is up; I have taken your offering and answered your questions; you have 60 seconds to collect your dead and vacate the premises." My words were like a kick in the head to Fredrick, who jumped to his feet and bowed at a 90-degree angle.

"Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to speak with you, Lord Xipher; I hope we meet again in the future." Saying that he dashed across the room at superhuman speeds, collected the corpses of his fallen operators, and looked back at me one last time.

"Tell your Father I will be coming to see him in the next couple of years,"

"Yes, sir, Lord Xipher," and with that, Fredrick and I went our separate ways, with him running for dear life and me clearing out the store of everything worth value.

’Heh, at least the guy has some sense; he didn’t try anything sketchy like putting trackers on me, heh, not that I wouldn’t find them, but if he had, I would’ve wiped him out before heading to the Stillwater Base for a visit.’ I thought while triple checking for any listening or tracking items on my persons or the items I had pulled into my inventory….you know, just in case.

Glancing around the now-empty shop, I sighed and shook my head.

’Looks like I caused another mystery; tomorrow, when the owner or an employee shows up, they will find the place robbed blind; I wonder if it’ll make the six o’clock news.’ I thought with a shrug while dashing out of the back door, but then I paused and had a simple thought.

’I wonder if he called his dad; with all the money Stillwater has, I bet there’s a carphone inside that SUV of his…where did you go, little pony…’ kicking off the ground, I jumped to the roof and ran to the front of the store before looking down at the parking lot.

’Oh…I figured he would book it given the first opportunity, but it seems hes still got some balls; well, how about we eavesdrop on him then and see what hes got to say…’ On the far side of the parking lot, under a cluster of trees and away from the main road, sat the black SUV with tinted windows.

Based on the particle signature radiating off the vehicle, I had no doubt it was where Fredrick retreated; however, I surmised he would have left…unless.

’Nah, a guy like him, trained under Erik, driving shouldn’t be an issue, hell I bet he can even fly planes and helicopters, now then,’ with a thought and a slight nudge of particles, my body became hazy like the black mist Xilia could manifest with her stolen Talent, and my presence practically vanished, along with my particle signature.

This was all thanks to the ability of my cloak, which allowed me to store a singular Talent Skill, in this case, The Stealth Skill that Xilia had shown me before.

The last time I was in London, I had her use the skill on three cloaks, and with the runic inscriptions I had embued them with, I would be able to use the skill three separate times, with a duration of 10 minutes each use.

It wasn’t perfect, especially if I was in the presence of someone above Alpha-Rank. Still, given the current level of Returners, I needn’t worry about being caught as everything I did was hidden from sight, even my particle signature, so with my cloak active, I lept off the roof and half a second later found myself lying on my back, underneath the SUV.

"I DON’T CARE IF HE’S IN A MEETING; I NEED TO SPEAK TO FATHER NOW!"

BANG

’Heh, damn bro, control your strength, you’ll break this shiny new car of yours,’ snickering to myself, I watched everything going on inside the car through my perception in tandem with my heightened sense of hearing. It was like watching a movie in my head.

"Sir, you know what happens if one of us interrupts one of your Father’s meetings if it isn’t urgent…" the voice of a young woman came through the SUV’s speakers, making me frown slightly because that kind of tech wasn’t available to the public, or even in the works.

Typical 1990s carphones were nothing more than a normal house phone mounted in the trunk of cars, with wires running to the receiver in the front seat. The audio shouldn’t coming through the speakers, but I let that go and continued listening in.
