"That ungrateful swine, after everything Emilia and I did for him…wait, Emilia… have you checked in on her to see if she returned yet?" Partway through his statement, Brenden paused and immediately became concerned about his wife.

"I haven’t been able to do much yet, as she’s only two years old right now, and her family won’t be heading down here from New York until 2000. I’ve been trying to find her, but it’s incredibly difficult givin my lack of means to do so."

"I have, however, been checking in on the house she and her parents moved into, and it just finished being built last month; plus, I don’t doubt that if she had returned already, she would have tried establishing contact with us." My answer wasn’t what Brenden wanted to hear, but what could he do; technology hadn’t advanced far enough for communication to be simple yet; still, since my father had us listed in the phone book, it wouldn’t be difficult for her to look us up…which reminds me.

"Unlike Dad, whose old ass was adamant about our number being in the phone book, Emilia’s parents aren’t so keen on it, I did do a brief search for their Realtor’s licenses, but it appears they haven’t started that job yet." I wasn’t lying; I never do; call it a quirk or what have you, but I did try looking up Emilia’s parents and even her grandmother to no avail.

"I…see, I guess all we can do is wait until June of 2000 for them to move down here and continuously check in on her from time to time to see if she’s come back to the past or not; I assume you’d be able to sneak into her house unnoticed?" Giving me a tired nod, Brenden wore a forlorn expression while looking me dead in the eyes.

"Yeah, I already planned on doing that; she is family after all…" For some time, we fell silent, each of us lost in our thoughts, yet before long, Brendon broke the silence.

"So tell me, how far have you made it into your plans? Since it is almost the end of 1998, you should have already executed your plot against Amanda, right?" That’s right, Brenden also refused to call that bitch Mom or Mother for the same reasons as me.

"I’ve basically completed everything pre-2000 as I had described in the notes I left you, with the only exception being what happens in December; however, part of me thinks it may be unnecessary now…"

"Why is that? You and I both know how much they will be worth later on down the road, plus I’ve always wanted a binder for the complete first set."

"I don’t know how realistic it is; I mean, getting my hands on six cases of Base Set Shadowless First edition P**emon cards is going to be hard considering how short print they were in the beginning."

Yep, you heard me right, P**emon cards. Although the Japanese edition of the first set came out in 1996, they wouldn’t be brought to the United States until December of 1998.

*One Booster Box = 36 booster packs*

*One Case = 6 Booster Boxes*

*One Booster Box = 80-90 Dollars*

*One Case = 480-540 Dollars*

"What? Do you not have enough money to buy them? I thought you said you completed most of your plans; that should mean you have millions of dollars in the bank." Squinting his eyes, Brenden questioned.

"Money isn’t the problem; I have more than either of us have seen before, most of it in the form of hundreds of thousands of Ark-Coins. The issue is availability."

"I did some initial investigations and found out only two card shops from my memory exist right now, and both of those will have limited quantities of booster boxes coming in. I will be lucky to get even one case, let alone Six or more; plus, it’s because I have so much money that I don’t know whether or not it’s worth investing my time to hunt them down in the first place."

"B-U-L-L S-H-I-T, we are getting those damn packs even if we have to convince Dad to drive us around the whole country to do so, and not just them either, I WANT A COMPLETE SET TAYLOR, A COMPLETE SET, WE GOTTA COLLECT EM ALL DO YOU HEAR ME" as he spoke, Brenden grabbed me by both shoulders and began violently shaking me to add emphasis to his words.

"All right, all right, for fuck sake, we can look for the damn P**emon Cards, Jesus…let me go already!" However, after the 7th or 8th shake, Brenden suddenly stopped and examined me with confusion in his eyes.

Next, he began patting my shoulders and then my traps before balling up his fist and punching me directly in my abs, making a deep thud sound upon impact.

"Holy shit, How fucking high is your Defensive stats? You are built like a brick shithouse under those pajamas!" shoving me away, I watched as my brother shook out his no doubt sore hand while looking at me.

"Don’t worry, you will…uh…I would say you will be too, but then again, you are a workout-a-holic, to begin with, so you were already gonna be muscular anyway."

"It’s the Racial Traits that come with being a Prymordyal Hyumun; while it takes a fuck ton of XP to level up, those added three stat points and an additional 25% stat boost upon raking up are no joke. Oh, yeah, before I forget, our Stat cap is higher too because we are 6C, so maxing out stats before Alpha-Rank was pretty easy; by the way, I’m already in Alpha."

"That reminds me, I’ve got goodies for you; let me hand them over, and then I can fill you in on what I’ve been doing for the last five years; just don’t freak out when you see what they are," With that said, I began taking out one item after another from my inventory.
