"So let me get this straight: the only reason you are giving me all these things is so that I can rapidly level up and earn as many rewards as possible from the Event Quests?" With her hand hovering over the XP Booster, Xilia stared at me with narrow eyes.

"I mean, yeah, what other reason would I have to dump copious amounts of valuable resources on you? Just look at how many High-Alpha Ark Coins I put out; I’ll have you know that is a thousand coins. I wouldn’t even loan 1 High-Alpha coin out to someone, let alone a thousand."

"So think of it as me giving you enough money to survive on your own and purchase whatever you get from the quests." With a shrug of my shoulders, I allowed my OCD to take over and began separating the coins into neat piles of 10 stacked coins.

"I…suppose that’s fair…" Reaching out, Xilia went ahead and started storing everything except the coins in her inventory, and once she finished, she sat there and watched me meticulously count and stack the coins.

"Plus, it’s written in your contract that unless you are about to die, and one of the rewards is a life-saving item, you are not able to use or spend what you earn from the quests; however, any loot you pick up is yours, so at least you won’t walk out of those instances empty handed."

"But don’t worry, all your basic needs, as stated, are handled by me, thus the coins; just exchange a coin or two for modern cash; now, don’t get me wrong, this money is supposed to last you quite some time, so don’t go squandering it by living lavishly, you are still supposed to be flying under the radar now that you have a new identity."

After that final statement, for some time, the only sounds were that of coins clicking on each other and the noises Jennifer made by thrashing about until my wall of neatly stacked High-Alpha coins was complete.

"10 High-Alpha Coins a week, that is the budget I expect you to hold true to, and realistically speaking, it should be more than enough."

"Budget…you really are thinking too highly of me." With an irritable huff, Xilia began carefully storing each one of the stacks in her inventory while making sure they stayed in separate slots, filling up around half of her available Inventory spaces in the process.

"Not really; if I TRULY thought highly of you, I’d say not to spend more than 1 High-Alpha coin a week. If you weren’t a little rich kid who had grown up wanting nothing in both timelines, then I would have given you MUCH less money, something more on par with the average working salary of an upper-middle-class paper pusher."

"But since you will no doubt go shopping now and then, I’ve raised your allowance, now then…" glancing over my shoulder at Jennifer, I noticed her mental clarity begin to reform as the spasms which she had been experiencing for the better part of two hours began to slow.

"Jennifer should be enough to keep the mansion clean and in working order. Plus, I have imparted several hundreds of thousands of recipes for meals, including appetizers and desserts, so you only need to have her purchase the proper ingredients, and you can feast like a queen."

"Getting up from my seat and moving over beside Jennifer, who had finally finished integrating all the information I had given her, I grabbed her by the back of the head, tugging her hair with enough force to yank her back, and force-fed her a health potion before allowing her limp upper body to drop onto the floor with an unsightly THUD.

"She will be back on her feet in five minutes, so get ready to move,"

---

Around an hour later, Jennifer, Xilia, and I stepped into the mansion, with the grown woman being the only one acting like a child at first since she had never been in such a lavish environment.

"Milord, Milady, I shall go up to the room designated as mine and change into proper work attire; please do not hesitate to call me if you require anything." Gradually getting ahold of herself, the author gracefully glided across the floor before disappearing out of sight.

"Just by looking at how refined her posture and manner of speaking are, you’d never know she was a total nympho who had problems even cleaning her own house not even a day ago," I said, shaking my head and walking around the house to collect anything that suited my taste.

Unfortunately, the majority of the items decorating the lower floors were far too expensive for something my family would own, so I was forced to leave the good stuff behind, but that didn’t stop me from taking a fancy-looking vase or painting whenever I came across one I liked.

By the time Jennifer Returned, I had already swept both floors and every bedroom in the house, looting what I wanted before heading for the front door.

"You two are on your own now, Jennifer; you will treat Xilia as if she were me, and if I receive any reports of anything unsavory…well, I suppose we will be looking for a new maid."

"Of course, milord, safe travels."

With my hand on the doorknob, I glanced over my shoulder at them, mainly at Jennifer, who was now wearing a French maid outfit, before slipping a mental transmission to Xilia.

’Don’t do anything I wouldn’t, Xilia; talk to you in a few months,’

’Goodbye, Xipher; I will add the Messenger username you told me about when AIM starts up. By the way, my name will be Phantázima.’ Xilia responded, causing me to pause and shoot her another look, then shake my head, leaving the final words behind before exiting the mansion.

’You and Phantoms, I hope you explain that obsession someday,’ shaking my head, I pulled up my hood to cover my face, opened the door, and stepped out into the brisk afternoon, cool weather. It was time to collect my father and head back home.
