"As easy as it would be to up and vanish as you said, it all boils down to leaving a paper trail, something you have explicitly warned me against doing, Milord." Bowing his head slightly, Harlow continued.
"If I were to leave and disappear all of a sudden, fingers would be pointed in my direction by the police pertaining to the thefts at SonnyBrook and my Clinic; not only that, but my family would report me missing within a day."
"And all of that would eventually culminate in me being viewed as the culprit for what occurred yesterday." Without raising his head, Harlow then fell silent, waiting for my response to his analysis, and honestly, I was quite impressed.
Up until now, I had thought the man couldn’t use his head and was reacting purely on instinct, but the thought he had put into the topic was evident, and it surprised me that he had taken my words to heart so deeply.
"Hm, there may be hope for you yet, but are you prepared to lose everything and be reborn anew? Nothing about you can stay the same except for your profession; your name, style, and entire identity will be tossed to the side, and you will need to become an entirely new person. Are you sure that you have what it takes?" Uncrossing my arms, I crouched to eye level with Harlow and exerted a light wave of Particles to force him to look up at me and into my eyes.
"Yes…milord, I will throw it all away so that I may continue to feed this hunger deep within. I have tried to stop, but it always fails. What I am is inevitable, and there is no changing that; all I can do is adapt and be what I was meant to be…help me." Although his words came out hollow and emotionless, like a robot, I could see it in the depths of his eyes. Harlow was born to be a killer, and now he was finally transforming into the monster he could only act like in the past.
’Idiot, we already signed a Soul Contract; even if I didn’t want to help you, I’d have to do so regardless.’ Rolling my eyes under my mask, I placed my left arm behind my back and accessed my inventory, pulling out a folder full of documents and a small dental mold kit.
Swinging my arm around and making a gesture, I played it off as I was using magic, suddenly summoning the file and item before dropping them down on the table.
"As I have told you before, I make the Impossible possible, and since you have chosen to fake your death and become someone new to the world, it shall be done; the file has all your new paperwork, from a birth certificate to a new drivers license, everything about you is there."
"From the primary school you graduated to your test scores at those academies, I even went so far as to acquire new doctor credentials for you, so study it well, as from this moment on, Harlow Sheffield is no more; you will now become the man named Vincent Paul Lovecraft."
"As for the little item I dropped, that is a special dental kit. I want you to open it, place the mouthguard against your teeth, and then bite down as hard as you can; after that, all you need to do is study and wait for me to finish the rest."
Following my words to the letter, the first thing Harl… Vincent…did was open the small object resembling a dental retainer case and proceeded to take a mold of his teeth; once finished, he placed it down on the table, and I swiftly grabbed it.
Although I didn’t openly state it, this little toy was more than just a dental mold; in fact, it was quite a pricey item in the Arkadia Shop.
Unlike a regular impression mold, this 500 High Alpha-Coin item not only took an accurate impression of every tooth in a person’s mouth but also recreated them out of human bone.
The way it did this was pretty much unknown; however, the theories people online had come up with in the Origin Timeline were akin to extracting DNA and recreating a perfect version of a person’s teeth.

While it was generally a gimmick item and would be rendered unnecessary if a person evolved to a higher Racial Classification since the Evolution would essentially rebuild your body, for those stuck at lower Classes, it was a way to regrow any lost teeth, as all you had to do was put it in your mouth, then push some particles and POOF, you have a brand new set of perfect teeth, no braces or dentists needed.
All I needed to do now was extract all the teeth from the corpse and replace them with the mold from the item, and just like that, it could be identified as Harlow Sheffield.
The only downside was the cost; as I said, the damn thing ate away 500 High Alpha coins from my wallet, and although it hurt me on a fundamental level to waste money like this, if I wanted to create a compelling amount of evidence so that the police would consider Harlow as deceased, I’d need a way to trace it back to him.
Glancing down at Vincent, I nodded before jumping off the table and giving him a couple of parting words.
"I will begin my plan; you have about an hour before we leave; when I come back, I will get us a vehicle. Wear this cloak to cover yourself; things are about to get hectic." Tossing a pitch-black cloak like what a worshiper of Satan would wear, I didn’t wait for a response and left the room.
There were still a couple of things left on my checklist that I needed to do, and if everything worked out the way I had planned, by tomorrow morning, we should be on the road and free of any attachment to Hyde.
Upon exiting Harlow’s office, I went down the hall to one of the examination rooms and threw the corpse of the junkie I had killed earlier on the floor.
’Sigh, I fucking hate touching lower beings, whatever; I need to get this done quickly.’
