Keeping my idea of abusing my body and Circulation Skills in mind, I decided it was time to head back to the safezone and, inevitably, the gate back to Earth.
With the Caverns being a high-level instance, I didn’t really have to worry about where I would train or even Rank Up because, at the very least, there would be more than enough Abundant Alpha Particles floating around the air, which I could use to get stronger.
Running at my quickest speed through the pitch-black winding tunnels, it didn’t take me too long to make it back to the familiar setting where I had my first battle in the past.
Funny enough, with the amount of time that had passed, there wasn’t a shred of evidence that I had slaughtered four people and 15 monsters; the entrance to the Safezone, and even inside the zone, was completely clear of any outside traces, even the torches were out, which was my first action upon arriving, lighting them.
By the way, I wasn’t kidding when I said I planned on cheesing the system. With the increase in my stat cap, it was a no-brainer to continue using my circulation skill now that the limit had been released.
Continuing at the rate of 0.6 points in both my Physical stats a day, I entered the same cycle I had enacted a month prior. Once again, I found myself doing nothing but running my Circulation skill, eating, and sleeping, or so I thought I would be, because, during my 10th cycle, I finally did what had been a long time coming and Increased my Attainment in my Hidden Vestiges of Physicality.
Raising my Skill to the Major Attainment increased my point gain from 0.1 per use to 0.125, meaning in a full batch of cycles, I could now earn 0.75 points in both my Physical stats.
Plus, the chance to gain bonus stat points also increased slightly, which I noticed as I had hit the jackpot on more than a few occasions.
While the change may not seem like much, it definitely mattered as it cut down the amount of time required to boost my stats to the cap. To sweeten the deal, now, instead of wasting nine days, I could finish my task with plenty of time to show up for my birthday.
By the time I finished my training, I couldn’t help but break into a wide, shit-eating grin as I examined my status profile.
Both my Physical stats were capped, and I had even bumped both my Meta Physical stats significantly, with the only downside being that I still had to burn a couple of stat points to max them out, but I was still sitting pretty with 4.5 points remaining. Of these, I quickly dumped three into my intellect, raising it to 30.
With all that said and done, it was finally time to begin a process I had been looking forward to for nearly four years.

Ranking up is a process that is both delicate and complex; although simple in theory, the execution behind moving from one Rank to the next is anything but.
As if it wasn’t a hard enough task to complete on its own, as you move through the ranking system, slight changes must be executed depending on the Rank you wish to ascend to. From Alpha to Beta-Rank, you must take care to infuse your Bone Structure more than any other part of your body.
In the case of Beta to Gamma, your target is your muscular system; in Gamma to Delta, you focus on your nervous system; and in the case of Delta to Zeta, the spot you focus on the most is your heart and brain.
But before any of those can happen, you must first move from Non-Rank to Alpha, and luckily, the theory behind the evolution of sorts is quite straightforward.
Nourish your entire body with particles, from the tips of your hair to the nails on your toes and all the bits in between. Everything must be nourished with Alpha-Particles, assimilating them into your natural functions.
However, before you can start this process, you must first fill your PC tank all the way, filtering it into your own specific brand of particles.
As I had previously stated, once you reach the maximum level, it is indicative that your body can no longer store any new particles, and thus, the assimilation step begins.

Originally, I believed this to mean reaching 10 PC, and for a 1C Basic Human, that was indeed the case; however, sitting on the ground with my eyes closed, I could feel that my body was truly full, unlike the previous time I ascended to Alpha-Tier.
Setting aside the fact that I was able to overextend my Particle Pool by using copious amounts of Potions, from what I could tell, 20 PC is the maximum limit; whether higher Classifications with higher limits existed, I did not know, but having Ranked up multiple times in different Classifications something told me that wasn’t the case.
Assimilation. During this step, you are tasked with merging the abundant particles you’ve absorbed with your body. And once you have completed the process, you rank up, and your body can contain the next grade of particles.
Seems simple in theory until it’s broken down to a fundamental level. The worst part about the entire process is by no means ensuring your particles touch and nourish every square inch of your body; instead, the real issue is generating your own specific flavor or brand of particle.
This is the part of the process that caused most people to stumble and fail their Rank-up. I was among the few who didn’t get slipped up climbing this hurdle the first time; Emilia and Brenden, on the other hand, weren’t so lucky, and it took several tries before either of them successfully reached the Alpha-Rank from No-Rank.
While I’d like to say there was some specific formula one could use when customizing their particles, the truth is, there isn’t. You either feel the difference between YOUR individualized particles and others, or you don’t; that’s all there is to it, and those who don’t understand this fact are forever doomed to a life of mediocrity.
