Chapter 58: Chapter 58: No escape
Seeing that familiar circular gate, both Lucifer and Luna ran towards it in a panic. Lucifer didn't know how Luna felt, but Lucifer was feeling extremely lucky, joyful, and moved.
But those feelings disappeared right away as soon as the two of them stood in front of the portal. The portal had completely closed.
Since this teleportation gate could only be activated from the other side, which meant from Atlas Academy, Lucifer and Luna had no way to activate the gate from the island to return. They were once again trapped on this island.

"How can we return? The gate is closed and this island is full of deadly monsters. There's no other way for us to return!"
Luna approached Lucifer and placed her hand on his shoulder. Then she shouted at Lucifer:
"We can still return to the academy! Have you forgotten who I am? I am the daughter of a very powerful and wealthy family! When they hear that I have gone missing, they will definitely force the academy to launch a search! So we just have to wait here, no matter how long it takes! So don't give up so soon!"
Lucifer couldn't refute those words because what Luna said was totally right. Now, they just had to wait for the heroes or teachers to come save them.

It had been 2 hours since they found the gate. Currently, Lucifer and Luna were sitting on the sand doing nothing. Since there were no monsters around, everything was very pleasant.
'So boring...' Lucifer thought to himself.
For the past 2 hours, they just sat there and looked at the clear blue sky and sparkling sea. If possible, Lucifer wanted to go swimming, but he couldn't enjoy it while Luna was just sitting here alone.
Suddenly, Luna spoke first:
"Do you want to go swimming?"
"Huh?"
"I asked if you want to go swimming. It's pretty boring just sitting here anyway. Besides, it's not certain that anyone will come here to find us today. So instead of wasting time in a boring way, why don't we have some fun."
After being invited by Luna to go swimming, Lucifer immediately took off his school uniform and jumped into the sea. The water was very cool and refreshing, thanks to it, Lucifer forgot most of the fatigue he had encountered recently.
Lucifer had discovered a new way for him to relax, which was swimming, or rather, soaking in the sea.

Luna was just like Lucifer, after swimming, instead of wearing the academy uniform, she wore a white sports jacket that matched Luna's hair color and a pair of black sweatpants.
"You're not wearing your uniform anymore?" Lucifer asked.
"Yeah, although it's very convenient and comfortable, it's already dirty and covered in sweat."
After that, they took a moment to check the items they brought with them.
Lucifer and Luna had a total of 6 protein bars, 3 canned pasta dishes, and 6 nutritional drinks left. Most importantly, Luna had brought a lighter.
Thanks to that lighter, Lucifer didn't have to worry about eating sparingly anymore. If they ran out of food, they could simply go hunting.
During his time on the island, Lucifer had seen many edible animals, but he didn't hunt them in a hurry. Furthermore, water wasn't a problem for them because there was a clear lake near the gate.

2 days had passed but no one had come to save Lucifer and Luna yet. The food they brought with them was only enough for one more day. After today, they would have to go hunting if they wanted to eat.
During those two days, Lucifer and Luna didn't do anything special. They spent all their time swimming and wandering on the shore, and in general, they mostly spent their time near the teleportation gate.
"Hey Luna." Lucifer called out to the girl while they were lying on the grass near the teleportation portal and staring at the clear blue sky.
