Chapter 38: Chapter 38: A favor
Currently, Lucifer was sitting in the mayor's living room, next to him was Sierra, who was calmly enjoying a cup of tea as if nothing had happened.
Just now, Lucifer had brought all the kidnapped people to the mayor's house as Sierra had said.
After that, the mayor had worked really hard to bring the kidnapped people back to their families. And the mayor had also told Lucifer to wait in the living room.
30 minutes had passed but the mayor still hadn't returned. Lucifer didn't dare move even an inch because he was surrounded by a lot of expensive furniture. He was afraid that he would break them if he wasn't paying attention.
'When will he come back?'
After waiting for another 10 minutes, the mayor finally returned. He slowly sat down in front of him and poured Lucifer a cup of tea. Lucifer quickly thanked him and drank it all in just 1 second.
"I heard that you saved my daughter?"
"Yes."

"I am very grateful for that. As a way to repay you for saving my daughter, is there anything you want me to do for you? I will do everything within my authority."
As Lucifer had predicted, he had received a favor from the mayor. Now Lucifer really wanted to laugh out loud, but he tried to hold back.
"Yes, I want to go to Atlas Academy, is that okay?"
The mayor thought for a moment, even Sierra had to put down her teacup to focus on the conversation.
"Okay, but I have one condition. Can you be my daughter's bodyguard while she is studying at Atlas Academy?"
"Okay!"
Lucifer answered decisively. As he had said before, he was willing to do anything just to study at Atlas Academy.
Hearing that, Sierra suddenly smiled, but Lucifer didn't pay any attention to it.
"Hahahaha, very good! Then follow me, I'll help you create a new ID and open a bank account for you!"
Luckily, the mayor didn't ask much about Lucifer's family background. So he didn't have to talk much about it. To be honest, Lucifer didn't know much about his family in this world, the information he had gathered from Hell wasn't enough for him.
All he knew was that they were a bunch of trash.
"Oh right, can I have half of the kidnappers' money?" Lucifer said with a smile as if it was no big deal.
The mayor looked at him with an appraising gaze but eventually had to accept Lucifer's request.

The process of making an ID and bank card went by quickly. It didn't take as much time as Lucifer thought.
Perhaps it was because of the advanced technology or simply because he was with the mayor, leading to all his work being prioritized.
In addition, when Lucifer was examined for illness, the results were negative. It seemed that the ring's ability really worked.
After finishing everything, Lucifer and the mayor walked out of the bank and headed towards the car. Suddenly, the mayor handed Lucifer a card.
"What is this?"
"It's an Atlas Academy student card."
Lucifer almost dropped the card on the ground in shock. He couldn't imagine that he would be able to enter Atlas Academy in just one day. So this was the power of money.
Lucifer looked at the mayor with admiration.
"Oh right, can you not say that I was able to go to Atlas Academy because of your support? I don't really want to stand out when I study at Atlas Academy."
"Alright, I'll tell Sierra as well."
"Thank you."

During the time until the entrance ceremony at Atlas Academy began, Lucifer was allowed to live in the mayor's mansion with Sierra. Lucifer had received a large, beautiful, and comfortable room, it was totally different from the room he had in Levy's house.
This was the first time Lucifer had been able to rest peacefully like this since he came to this world. This one month period was the best time of his life.
He could sleep whenever he wanted, play whatever he wanted, and eat whatever he wanted.
For Lucifer, this place was no different from heaven.
Despite that, Lucifer did not neglect his training. He still trained his body in the gym every day as well as practiced his dagger skills. For someone like Lucifer, the dagger was still a good choice for him.
Lucifer had no intention of changing weapons at least for the time being.
Other than training and resting, Lucifer would sometimes be dragged around Toronto by Sierra because she said that bodyguards should be with their masters at all times. At first, Lucifer felt it was quite annoying, but because he got to play around the city, it became somewhat more interesting.
This wasn't too bad after all.
Moreover, Lucifer had also known about Sierra's system board. She shared it with Lucifer without any reservations.
Name: Sierra Morin
Destiny: Joy Bringer (Reborn)
Destiny Rank: Nothing
Ability: [Cheer Everyone Up]
Experience: [10/3000]
Ancient name: [The Most Purify Angel]
Item: None
Curse: None
According to Sierra, her Ability allowed her to strengthen her teammates within a certain range. Perhaps that was why Sierra insisted on following Lucifer back at the port.
Additionally, Sierra's Ancient name: The Most Purify Angel could make the mood of those around her better. It seemed that she was very compatible with her Ability and Ancient name.

Today was the last day that Lucifer and Sierra would stay in this mansion. Tomorrow, they would have to leave to go to Atlas Academy and stay there for at least 1 year without returning.
For that reason, today all of Sierra's relatives and friends gathered together and held a party. Since Lucifer didn't know anyone here, he quickly finished his portion and ran back to his room right after.
Suddenly, a knock sounded on the door while Lucifer was admiring the stars in the sky.
"Can I come in?" It was Sierra's voice.
"Yeah."
Sierra entered the room right after that. She was wearing a red dress today, which matched her eyes and hair color very well. Lucifer couldn't help but think that she was adorable.
"What do you think of this dress? I had to order it for a long time!"
"You're really cute."
Hearing that, Sierra immediately blushed, but Lucifer didn't care much and turned back to look at the starry sky.
"What are you looking at?"
"Is there anything else in the sky besides the stars?"
"Right..." Sierra scratched her head in embarrassment.
The two of them remained silent for a long time.
"We're leaving tomorrow, right?" Sierra suddenly spoke first.
"Yeah."
"Are you looking forward to it?"
"Yes."
Sierra flashed her usual mischievous smile:
"Remember to protect me well, my bodyguard!"
