Chapter 196: I’ll Clean You Up

Abigail’s lips curled up as she let out a burst of laughter, although it looked a bit creepy to see someone laugh like this without uttering a single bit of sound. Finally, even she seemed to have realized that her laughter sounded strange as she stopped and coughed a couple of times before stopping.

Even then, the corners of her lips twitched as if she were trying hard to hold in her laughter.

Owen’s eyes squinted but he said nothing and turned around, walking outside the room. Then he returned with a towel in his hand as he said, "Now... Now I’ll drain the tub and fill it with new water and wipe you off."

He put the towel aside and drained the water with his eyes closed. Throughout the time, he didn’t dare to open his eyes for fear of looking at something he shouldn’t be looking at. Even though he had scrubbed her body clean, he didn’t really venture into her chest area.

He only cleaned her face, back, and legs. That’s it. That’s how far he could go right now. Since Abigail could already move her hands weakly, she cleaned the rest of the area herself, giving him a sigh of relief.

After he heard the sound of the drain finishing up, he fumbled around and turned on the tap with warm water coming through it. After he was done, he waited for a while and said, "Abigail.... I’ll clean you up...."

Up until now, he had managed to not even spare her body a single glance, even when stripping her for bathing. But now, he knew he couldn’t stay away from this activity since he had to scrub her body clean once again.

Damn it, would it never end?!

Abigail looked at the man funnily as she decided to play a trick with him. Since he was Nicholas and Asher, she didn’t really feel that sad after realizing that he was the same person. Thus, all the traces of sadness of losing her husband were reduced.

Although she still missed the man, she knew that it would be impossible for him to return. Then why not take care of the things that were still in her hands? For example, Owen?

She raised her weak hand as she scratched the man’s palms a little. Owen immediately opened his eyes and what he saw was a scene that he had seen plenty of times in Nicholas’s memories.

Abigail’s fully blossomed breasts under water. His gaze automatically traveled down as he even saw the thing that he shouldn’t have, her pubic hair covering up the most intimate part of her body.

His entire face turned red.

"F*ck!" That was the only word in his mind as of now.

He immediately closed his eyes as he backed away, but when he thought of the naked Abigail helplessly lying in the bathing tub, he gritted his teeth and opened his eyes again.

He took a few deep breaths to calm down. It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen her body and done it multiple times as Nicholas. He had, despite having a different body. It’s just that it was really awkward for him to even sneak her a single glance since his identity was that of Owen right now, not Nicholas.

When he was mentally ready, he finally glanced at her and said through his gritted teeth, "You’re really a brave girl to play with a hungry lion even when you’re like this!"

Even when he was angry, he diligently cleaned her up from top to bottom. Of course, his hands really didn’t mean to spend a lot of time on her chest, squeezing her breasts a lot more than necessary. By the time he was done, his entire face was blushing red as even the traces of it reached the tips of her ears.

He quickly drained water from the tub when she was clean and picked her up, scooping her in a towel. His series of actions were so fast that even Abigail was dumbfounded as she looked at the man, who was pretending hard to be calm and composed.

She chuckled as she averted her eyes, snuggling into the man’s arms. But there was indeed a trace of disappointment in her eyes. At present, this Owen was still the old Owen she knew. Even after regaining the memories of others, Owen still didn’t have even a trace of Nicholas’s cold aura, and neither did he have Asher’s flirting attitude.

The man was still gentle and awkward when it came to romance.

Even then....

Even then.....

Abigail felt her heart a little bit relaxed upon thinking that this person still had Nichols’s and Asher’s consciousness. Even though she didn’t know why and how this kind of magical thing happened in the first place, she was glad that she wasn’t crazy enough to fall in love with three men.

Somehow, Owen also helped her dress up, but this time, his eyes were closed the entire time. He didn’t bother looking at her despite how many times she scratched his palms. After a while, he frowned as traces of frustration appeared in his eyes.

He hurriedly dressed her up and opened his eyes only to see that she wasn’t scratching his palms for no reason. He actually dressed her up messily....

He looked at her guiltily and coughed, saying, "Well, let me do it alright."

Abigail only raised her eyebrows and stared at the man before flashing a smile on her lips. This was a sweet and innocent smile that made the man stunned. He coughed once again and proceeded to remove her top once again and this time, he dressed her up without closing his eyes.

He sighed once she was fully dressed up from head to toe.

He looked at her and smiled. "Now, what do you want to eat today? I’ll name a bunch of dishes, you can..."

Abigail shook her head and waved her hand, still smiling.

"So you want me to decide that?" Owen nodded as he tucked her onto the bed once again, saying, "Take some rest. I’ll give you the medicine to be eaten before your food, and then I’ll prepare something, okay?"
