Chapter 317: Silver 3
The training facility at Namda had several features to it.
There were specific rooms designed for everything that a student might need in his cultivation.
In one such mana-dense room, a boy with a fairly well-built body sat cross-legged as the air around him trembled slightly with every passing moment.
Not paying any attention to his surroundings, Noah willed more mana to enter his body.
His mana core currently had 2 rings around it, and at the moment Noah was trying to add the third and final ring to the core, in order to upgrade it to become a Silver 3.
The process might have been difficult for normal humans, but for Noah... it was a walk in the park.
His body had always been highly responsive to mana, even more so than the elves who were known as the race closest to the natural mana in the world.
Coupled with that was his ability, which allowed him to communicate with the natural mana on an entirely different level.
"Haa..."
Taking a deep breath, Noah let more mana enter his body, trying his best to create the third ring around his mana core with the maximum amount of mana he could supply to it, before the ring stabilised itself around his mana core.
Seconds soon turned into a minute, and—
Noah’s eyes opened.
The air around him had now largely settled as the process was over.
He was now a Silver 3.
Though it should have been a moment of celebration for Noah, he couldn’t let himself be lost in such feeble victories.
After such a long time and effort, Noah had just been able to reach a rank that Kael had achieved even before entering the academy.
Noah had attributed it to the tremendous amounts of resources that might have been available at Kael’s disposal, allowing him to reach Silver 3 before everyone else in the academy.
Noah would have been able to achieve the same, had the same resources been available at his disposal.
Though after coming to the academy, in no more than a month or two... Noah had already become a Silver 3, and his growth going forward would stay the same.
No... Noah could feel it.
The rate of his growth would become monstrous after evolving to become a Gold core.
Noah had an instinctive feeling that his ability would fully awaken once he reached the Gold core.
At the moment the only thing Noah knew about his ability was that it was a sword made of mana.
Mana Sword.
That was what Noah had decided to call it.
Just from its name alone it was clear that the sword would help him in matters related to mana.
The only difference was how strong the ability would be and what effects it would have on his cultivation.
Still, Noah had always trusted his instincts, and he would continue to do so.
Given his current rate of cultivation, Noah believed that within another two or three months he would be able to become a Gold core.
That was just an estimate on his part, and the time could be shorter if Noah cultivated more.
He now had to let more mana enter and seep into the outer shell of his mana core.
That would result in cracks appearing on its surface, allowing him to fill them up with the mana in his body, before compressing the core, and then advancing to become a Gold core.
Wiping the sweat that had formed on his body, Noah exited the room, before making his way out of the training facility.
The results for the selection of first-year student council representatives were out.
Noah had been selected to become a part of the student council.
He had been called to attend their meeting which had been scheduled an hour from now.
Returning to his dorm, Noah had to quickly take a shower, before presenting himself before the student council.
As he walked through the academy grounds, Noah could see the students exiting their dorms, before heading towards the main building of the academy where their lectures took place.
As it was still early in the morning, the number of students that could be seen outside was fairly low.
No matter how reputed the academy was... the students were the same all over the world.
No one liked to go to the academy early in the morning, so most of them would report to their respective classes just minutes before the instructor’s arrival.
As the meeting was arranged by the student council, Noah wouldn’t be punished for not attending the lectures in the morning.
After all, the student council was the main body in the academy and acted with utmost efficiency to keep the discipline of the academy intact, ensuring that the students had a safe environment to study in.
Conflicts among the students across all the academies in the world were a common occurrence as the kids from noble houses had their prides to protect.
To avoid such chaos in the institution at the level of Namda, the academy had specifically granted numerous powers to the student council.
Powers and privileges that allowed them to stand above the students and ensure a stable environment on the academy grounds.
Even the instructors in the academy couldn’t order the student council, as it had sufficient immunity to fight for the rights of the students in case some instructor had broken his code of conduct and unnecessarily troubled a student.
This was done not only to safeguard the interests of the students but also to ensure that the instructors didn’t misuse their authority to exploit the students, many of whom were from prominent backgrounds.
There had been some cases in the history of the academy when the heirs to the major powers in the world had felt insulted by the behaviour of some instructors, resulting in a direct clash between the forces of the academy and the major power in question.
Though such issues were quickly solved by a joint meeting among all the leaders of the world... it had still left a lasting effect on the rules and regulations in the academy, as all of them were modified to ensure harmony between the students and the instructors.
