Chapter 2206: Chapter 2206: Ms. Quinlan, the Kingsleys Family Has Arrived

"Tsk." The girl’s features were delicate and sharp; she clicked her tongue.

"..." But Zevaney Kingsley caught the flamboyant curve at the corner of her eye, and her heart sank for no reason.

She just had a feeling the other party wouldn’t let this go easily this time.

After a brief wave of unease.

A glint flashed through Zevaney’s eyes, followed by a faint trace of disdain.

So what if Nathalie Quinlan had guessed it? She had no proof that she’d done it—then no one could touch her!

"I really do want to have a talk with you." After all, Zevaney had been pampered in the Kingsleys Family for twenty years; once she got serious, she could be quite intimidating. "Nathalie Quinlan, what exactly happened?"

Unfortunately for her, the person she was facing wasn’t someone else.

It was Nathalie Quinlan.

Anyone who understood Nathalie’s temperament knew Nathalie never played these fake games!

She smiled with a hint of mockery. "Zevaney Kingsley, you don’t know Mrs. Davidson was poisoned?"

Zevaney opened her mouth, immediately putting on an expression of shock and surprise. "Marcella Davidson was poisoned? I had no idea. When did it happen? How’s Auntie now? She’s okay, right?"

Nathalie half-squinted her eyes, watching her look as if she was truly worried about Marcella, then tugged lazily at the corner of her lips. "Sorry to disappoint you."

Zevaney dug her nails into her palm, forcing out a smile, as if she didn’t care about Nathalie mocking her, and gave a slight smile. "As long as Mrs. Davidson is fine."

Nathalie just looked at her, somewhere between sneering and derisive.

Zevaney was the first to look away, as if she had just realized something, and took the initiative to say, "Nathalie, you don’t think I did this, do you?"

The girl’s duckbill cap had been covering half her face, revealing only a cold, sharp jawline. At those words, her pitch-black eyes lifted to her. "Oh? So it wasn’t you?"

Zevaney took a deep breath. Under the girl’s gaze, it felt like everything about her was laid bare, but she bit the tip of her tongue and forcibly held herself back. "I was unaware."

Nathalie seemed too lazy to argue with her over who had done something this childish.

But the unease in Zevaney’s chest only grew stronger.

Just then.

Someone hurried in from outside.

Zevaney only saw the obvious scar on the man’s face, which lent his already rugged features a chilling, murderous aura.

Vincent Moore strode in, not even bothering to avoid Zevaney, acting as if he hadn’t seen her at all. He bowed respectfully to the girl. "Ms. Quinlan, the Kingsleys Family is here to take you back."

Nathalie’s lips curled, her gaze dry and irritable. "They got here pretty fast."

A spark of hope flared in Zevaney’s eyes, her unease instantly evaporating. She cast a slightly provocative look at the girl and gave a gentle smile. "Looks like we’ll have to set up another time."

"As for Mrs. Davidson, I’ll make time to visit her in the hospital. If it’s convenient, you can give me the address of Mrs. Davidson’s hospital..."

Zevaney even seemed ready to get up and leave.

A phone suddenly landed in front of her. The girl who had just been lounging lazily as if she couldn’t be bothered with her now stood up. Looking down, the pitch-black depths of her eyes held a beast on the verge of breaking loose.

"Zevaney Kingsley, do I look easy to mess with?"

Zevaney froze on the spot, the smile at the corner of her lips stiffening, her momentum crushed in an instant. "..."

"I look easy to mess with, that’s why you dare to provoke my bottom line again and again, and think that with the Kingsleys Family at your back, I won’t dare do anything to you?"

The girl’s voice was extremely flat, as if she really was, just as she said, calmly having a talk with her.
