Chapter 2195: Chapter 2195: Nathalie: Who Gave You the Medicine?

Leony Davidson collapsed onto the cold hospital corridor floor, the left side of her face burning with fiery pain, tears streaming down in sheets, her shoulders trembling.

"Kenz..."

"Don’t call me!" Kenzie Nabours’ expression was blank, his face full of icy disgust. "You’re not worthy to call my name!"

"..." Leony covered her face, more disheveled than she had ever been, sitting on the ground.

...How did it end up like this.

How did things end up like this.

"I’ll ask you one more time. Did you poison the water, or did you tamper with the medicine?" Kenzie felt not the slightest sympathy for her, lowered his head, and asked her again.

Cold sweat soaked Leony’s back. She looked utterly flustered, but didn’t dare admit it.

She knew that answering this question was no different from admitting she had poisoned someone! Once she admitted it, Kenzie would never let her off easy.

Nathalie Quinlan came out of the operating room at this time as well.

The corridor outside was so noisy, she’d heard some of it from inside.

Nathalie: "She probably swapped the medicine."

Kenzie turned back and saw the Girl walking out of the operating room, taking off her gloves and tossing the used ones into the trash.

At the same time, she lowered her eyes, long lashes covering the dark circles under her Eyes, shoved her hands into her pockets.

"If she put the drug in the water, Mrs. Davidson could easily taste it and notice something was off. Only by putting it in the medicine itself—people are used to swallowing pills in one go—would it be hard for the person taking it to notice even if the taste was wrong."

"You’re out?" Amadeus Yancey hadn’t slept all night, yet his brows and eyes were clear and sharp. Looking as if nothing had happened, he walked over to her, came to the Girl’s side, twisted open the cap of the water bottle in his hand and handed it to her, his gaze mixed with a soft gentleness, his voice low and slow: "Rest a bit first, have some water."

"Mm." Nathalie took the mineral water from his hand, tipped her head back and took a big gulp, then said to him quietly, "Help me look after Mr. Dax."

Caleb Dax was elderly, and this surgery had taken over ten hours. His body had long since been pushed to the limit; he was still sitting on a chair in the operating room, resting.

People from the Pharmaceutical Association had already gone in to look after Caleb.

But Nathalie didn’t feel at ease, and still wanted him to go in and check on him.

"Okay." Amadeus took the water from her hand again, screwed the cap back on, answered softly, and reached out to tuck her Short hair back from her ear. "Wait for me out here. I’ll go take a look."

Nathalie watched him go into the operating room, then finally turned back toward the person sitting on the corridor floor, walking over step by step, unhurried but inexorable.

Seeing her come out, Leony’s Eyes were already full of fear. She shrank back. "Nathalie, what are you going to do?"

"Who gave you the medicine?" Nathalie stopped in front of her, half-squatted down, lowered her head and asked.

Her gaze was cold and irritable.

Her aura was overwhelming.

Leony’s eyes flickered and she turned her head away. "I—I don’t know what you’re talking about."

Nathalie had known she wouldn’t admit it so easily. Her hand suddenly clamped down on Leony’s chin and squeezed hard.

Leony cried out in pain and opened her mouth.

In that split second, no one saw clearly what the Girl did. Nathalie’s hand loosened, and Leony had already swallowed whatever Nathalie had shoved into her mouth.

"Ah."

Leony’s Face changed abruptly. Both hands clutched at her own throat, staring at the Girl in utter terror, both shocked and furious. "Nathalie, what did you just make me eat?"

"Poison, of course." The Girl let go of her chin, straightened up slightly, her tone lazy and careless.

The very picture of sheer, unrestrained arrogance.

So many members of the Davidson Family were here, and she had just poisoned someone right in front of them all.
