Chapter 74: Call my name!

ELLA.

I moved slightly, trying to reach the door and check who was knocking so early in the morning.

But before I could even take another step, Lurgard grabbed my wrist instantly and pulled me back.

My breath hitched.

In the next second, my back collided against the wall softly, and Lurgard pinned me there immediately.

"Lurgard—"

I barely got his name out when he raised both my hands above my head effortlessly, trapping them there with one hand.

My heart slammed wildly against my chest.

His emerald eyes darkened slowly as they locked onto mine, and the look in them alone made my entire body heat up instantly.

Dangerous.

That was the only word that came to my mind whenever he stared at me like this.

Slowly, teasingly...he lowered his head until his lips barely brushed against mine, not enough for a kiss but just enough to drive me insane.

My legs trembled immediately.

A shaky breath escaped my lips before I could stop it, and Lurgard’s eyes flashed with satisfaction instantly.

As if he loved seeing me affected by him.

My knees weakened further, but before I could lose balance, his free hand slid around my waist firmly, holding me against him.

The warmth from his body spread through mine instantly, and then he leaned closer. So close that his lips brushed lightly against my ear as he whispered huskily...

"Theresa... I’m hungry."

My breath caught instantly the moment those words left his lips.

The way he said it—low, husky, almost strained—sent something dangerous crawling beneath my skin.

Before I could even react properly, he leaned closer.

"And right now..." he continued slowly, his voice deeper now, rough enough to make my heartbeat stumble violently inside my chest. "I want to eat you."

The moment his teeth grazed lightly against my ear, a violent shiver shot straight down my spine.

My entire body jerked uncontrollably against him.Heat rushed through me so suddenly it became difficult to think clearly.

What was wrong with this man?

No—

What was wrong with me for reacting this way?

The knock on the door suddenly became louder again, more impatient this time, almost aggressive.

But Lurgard acted as though he heard absolutely nothing at all.

Completely unbothered.

Like the person outside simply didn’t exist.

His attention remained entirely on me, his grip tightening slightly as though he had no intention of letting me escape him anytime soon.

And then slowly, his hands slid lower against my thigh, gripping it firmly, and I bit down hard on my lower lip immediately to stop myself from making any embarrassing sound.

My breathing had already become uneven.

And the worst part?

He knew exactly what he was doing to me.

I tried moving my hands, but they remained trapped above my head securely.

I couldn’t even escape.

A smirk tugged against his lips instantly.

"I want you to call my name," he murmured softly, his gaze growing even darker as he stared directly at my lips.

My face burned red instantly. Honestly, I was already a complete mess. The way he looked at me...the way he touched me...the way his voice wrapped around my body like temptation itself...It was unfair.

"Be a good girl, Theresa..." he whispered again.

His warm breath fanned against my skin while his lips continued brushing teasingly against mine without fully kissing me.

The closeness alone was torture.

"I want to hear you say my name."

His grip around my waist tightened slightly, pulling me flush against him.

And the moment my back arched slightly from the sensation, his eyes darkened even further.

My breathing became shaky instantly.

The knock on the door echoed again loudly, but at that moment, it sounded so distant compared to the rapid beating of my heart.

Lurgard was enjoying every second of this far too much, and honestly, I couldn’t take it anymore.

The smugness in the way he touched me, the satisfaction written all over his face every time I reacted—it only made my heart pound harder with frustration and something far more dangerous.

It took everything in me not to call his name out loud. Especially because I had no idea who was outside the door at the moment.

And somehow, the more I thought about it, the louder the knocking became.

More impatient.

More intense.

My breathing turned uneven instantly.

Then Lurgard suddenly buried his face against my neck again, his warm breath brushing lightly against my skin before his teeth grazed me slowly.

A sharp sensitive surge rushed through my body immediately, making my fingers tighten against his shirt.

And before I could stop myself....

"Lurgard..."

The name slipped out softly from my lips, almost breathless, almost seductive.

The moment he heard his name from me, Lurgard immediately pulled back from my neck and stared at me intensely.

The look in his eyes made my heart skip—as his look held admiration, desire, lust, satisfaction.

Everything seemed to flash there at once.

"That’s my little kitten," he murmured, a slow smile spreading across his face like he had just won something important.

And before I could recover, he leaned in and claimed my lips again, possessively and almost desperately like a madman who had finally been unleashed after years of restraint.

The kiss deepened instantly, leaving almost no room for me to think properly anymore.

"Say it again, kitten," he muttered against my lips between kisses.

This time, however, I stubbornly refused to repeat it.

And somehow, my refusal only seemed to provoke him further.

His grip tightened slightly as the kiss deepened even more, consuming every bit of resistance I tried to hold onto.

My entire body betrayed me completely.

I instinctively clenched my legs tightly together, my breathing becoming uneven as warmth spread uncontrollably through me.

I felt my nipple hardened instantly, poking against his chest, and my face flushed in embarrassment. He must have felt it.

As he suddenly pulled away from the kiss, his eyes dropped briefly downward before he swallowed hard.

The tension in the room thickened instantly.

"You..." he said, but couldn’t finish his words.

But before anything else could happen, the knocking intensified again. This time, loud and persistent.

Then finally, a voice spoke from outside the door.

"Theresa... is Lurgard in there?"

I froze instantly.

That voice...
