Chapter 426: FATHER’S DAY SPECIAL 9: Benjamin Mark

I ignored her and turned to face the taller, more mature woman standing beside her. "Good evening, Silver Moss. I’m glad you could make it. Your presence adds a certain refinement to the gathering."

"My, thank you, little Tzadok," she bent a little and patted my head, her blue eyes glistening with genuine warmth.

Her hand was gentle on my hair, and I found myself leaning into the touch despite my better judgment. "You did a good job today. Pap— I mean, father will be proud of what you h

"So Silver Moss gets to receive sibling warmth, but I am met with spite?" Grey Ivy squinted at me, her teeth grinding together in irritation. "What makes her so special?"

I ignored her again and glanced at Briar, the youngest of the titan siblings.

She was standing slightly apart from the other two, her expression unreadable, her posture stiff and distant.

We normally do not speak to each other, but it is mostly because she looks down on the majority of the world’s residents.

Her eyes carried a cold superiority that made conversation feel like a waste of time.

She had probably only came here because the pervert would be showing up. Nothing else would have drawn her out of her seclusion.

Ash had already begun the incantation to summon the skirt-chaser from the spirit world, his voice rising and falling with the ancient words of power.

The language was old, older than any of us, a tongue that predated the realms themselves.

The air around him began to shimmer and glow as he spoke:

[Οἱ ἄξιοι τὸ φῶς ὁρᾶν συνήχθησαν ἐνώπιόν σου, ὦ θεὲ τοῦ φωτός· ἔλλαμψον τὴν παρουσίαν σου ἐφ’ ἡμᾶς, ὅτι ποθοῦμεν τὸ σεμνόν σου κάλλος. Δεῦρο καὶ κοινώνησον μεθ’ ἡμῶν, ὦ θεὲ τῆς Ἁγνείας!!]

As he spoke the spell, the magic energy around the area began to vibrate and bubble, swirling in invisible currents that made the air itself feel alive and charged with power.

The ancient words of the incantation hung in the atmosphere, their resonance echoing through the trees and across the gathered crowd of children.

The very fabric of reality seemed to tremble in response, as if the world itself was bracing for what was about to happen.

Then a bright white light shone from heaven down to the stump, a beam of pure radiance that pierced the darkness of the night sky like a spear of divine energy.

It was blinding in its intensity, warm and golden, and wonderfully bright, with motes of sparkle dancing around its edges like tiny stars that had descended from the cosmos to join the celebration.

The light bathed the ancient oak stump in a celestial glow, transforming the gathering place into something that looked like a scene from a holy text.

The part of the gathering that saw him as a god immediately went down on their knees, their heads bowed low in reverence and worship.

Their voices rose in prayer and adoration, their hearts filled with the awe of being in the presence of something greater than themselves.

The portion that saw him as their greatest idol immediately started singing and waving at him, their voices raised in joyful celebration.

They had prepared songs for this moment, melodies that honored his name, and they sang them with all the passion and enthusiasm of devoted fans meeting their hero for the first time.

Their hands waved in the air, their faces lit up with pure joy.

The ones who only see him as a pervert—just me—stood there watching him slowly float down from the light down to us.

I did not kneel, or sing, or wave. I simply stood my ground, my arms crossed, and my expressions carefully neutral, watching the spectacle unfold with skepticism.

Beside him was a young woman with white and silver wings on her back, their feathers catching the light and shimmering with an iridescent glow.

She had a white and golden outfit that revealed too much to the public; a garment that seemed designed more for aesthetics than modesty, its fabric clinging to her curves and leaving little to the imagination.

She had long white hair that flowed behind her like a river of silk, and golden eyes that sparkled with an inner light.

This was my step sister, Celestia, the daughter of Mother Auralis, and one of the many, many children that the bastard had sired across the realms.

And the fool himself was having white short hair that was floating like in zero gravity, defying the laws of nature as it drifted around his head in slow, graceful waves.

His red radiant eyes looked down softly on us from above, carrying a warmth that seemed almost paternal despite everything I knew about him.

White lashes framed those crimson irises, flashing with every occasional blink, adding an ethereal quality to his already otherworldly appearance.

His skin sparkled with an inner luminescence, the kind of flawless, radiant complexion that you would kill to feel, that made you want to reach out and touch him just to confirm he was real.

He was wearing a white piece of cloth that hugged his upper body, a snug garment that left his midriff bare, with his faint abs flashing the world: a display of physical perfection that seemed a bit unfair.

As for his lower garment, he wore a very loose outfit that nearly looked like a skirt but was actually pants, its fabric flowing and billowing around his legs like liquid moonlight.

He was barefooted, his feet touching the air as if he was walking on invisible steps, and he wore a white hooded jacket over the top clothes, the hood pulled up to partially obscure his face.

Coming down from the sky like that was so gross and disgusting!

I could feel my skin crawl at the sheer theatricality of it all; the dramatic entrance, the divine light, the adoring crowd.

"Hehehe..." Kynos nudged me a little, a rare smile curving her lips—a genuine expression of amusement that she rarely showed to anyone.

Her bunny ears twitched with suppressed laughter, and her eyes sparkled with knowing playfulness. "You say you hate him... but why is such a big smile and blush on your face? Your cheeks are practically glowing, Tzadok-sama."

"...Wh-Wh-Wh-at are you implying?!" I pushed her away, suddenly very embarrassed, my hand shoving against her shoulder.

My face felt hot, and I could feel the heat spreading across my cheeks like a wildfire. "You are also blushing like a tomato! I can see it from here! Your pale skin makes it even more obvious!"

"I never agreed with you that I hated him..." She smiled and faced the incoming humanoid as his feet touched the stump.

Her voice was soft and reverent, carrying a warmth that she usually reserved mostly for... me. "Our father, Zakiya Hakkadosh, Devil Lord Ravenwyn, the harmony of black and white... Benjamin Mark, the god of Purity... You cannot hate him if you tried. No matter how much you want to, no matter how many excuses you make, he is still our father. And some part of you will always love him."

Unable to rely on the parameters and shapes my ability was sending me—the spatial distortions that could allow me to perceive the world without opening my eyes—I forced my eyes open.

The world flooded in, bright and sharp, overwhelming, and I saw him for who he truly was: a disgusting pervert...

But someone I strive to surpass everyday.

Someone who represents everything I want to be and everything I refuse to admit I admire.

After reaching the cutdown ancient oak, he removed his hood, and his hair began to change into light brown, shifting from that divine white to something more natural and human.

His red eyes began to turn blue, the crimson fading into a warm cerulean that looked very gentle.

The divine radiance dimmed, and he became... digestible. More approachable and like a person rather than a high god.

And he said:

"...Sssssup..."
